hahahahahahaah! I can see any little one being freaked out by those witches! I would have been freaked out!
Your meal look yummy! Sigh I miss German food!

Mark, you nut!Your a lot of fun to read, with people like you and Great Biscuit, Liesa, and Jordy there is no way I'll ever be brave enough to write a TR, I just don't think have enough funny in me, maybe other things
, but not enough funny to make it an interesting read.
We missed you! I would see you post from time to time on FB but didn't know where you had gone to on here.
Glad your back!
Liesa, can't wait to hear more from you about Germany. Especially about two special ladies we all know and love.![]()
Okay, I, J, K, and L - all wonderful posts minus the whole puking from the berries thing. The sausages and kraut had me drooling!
LOVED the tour, your souvenir is incredible! How cool that they had it all set up like that instead of just buying a simple print that was already done.
I have been both busy and tired since Albany !!!Tomorrow I will call Phil and ask him to upload the pix of Albany !! Plus I need to get some pix printed for scrap books at the houses etc !!I have not had the energy since my busy October to keep up with all the threads and my own TR so forgive me for anything I missed !!!! Love ya !!! Chat tomorrow when after I get my running around done and house chores is Dis day !!!
My stomach is about to burst, just looking at those pics!Poor Anara, I hope she didn't have nightmares sleeping in Mooseville after wandering around the enchanted forest! I hope everyone gets better quickly.
Oh my gosh Liesa, that food looks devine!
Now living in Texas and having many a salsa fresco with cilantro, I love it!
I also love it on my taco's, but it's not a staple for said food.
Now I can't wait to try all kinds of new foods in Germany, just reading the menu makes my mouth water.Uh oh! I'm drooling again Liesa
, your posts have a way of doing that to us!![]()

Of course looking at the beautiful pictures of Germany I'm falling more and more in love.Although, I could live without the witches while I'm eating.
Bless little Anara's heart!

I spoke with Bekka today! She's a sweetheart, I love it when your kids answer the phone, they are so smart and very polite. I've raise my children to be polite as well, but of course at home they aren't so nice with me all the time.
It's sooo refreshing to hear other children so wonderfully polite, considerate, and able to hold a conversation with an adult so well. Good job mom!

Great Witch Update !! The pix are great!!! The menu was in English???? The food looked great!!
On the architecture, I'm guessing from the Baroque period, but that's a total guess. I'd have to look at my art history books to really know.
That is some serious German food. I feel full just looking at it.![]()
I think I would have been a bit freaked out over the witches too, I don't blame your daughter. The food looks wonderful. Suddenly the peanut butter sandwich I have waiting for my lunch isn't looking quite so appetizing any longer.
Those witches are spooky!! I don't blame DD for being freaked out!
That lamb in rosemary sauce on the menu sounds good!
Apoteka, like "apothecary"...cool!
What a fun restaurant. It really does make you think of Hansel and Gretel.
That second plate looks especially good to me. Mmmmmm.
Cruel parenting 101!Those witches do look a little scary, but that food looks really really good. thanks for posting more interesting pictures of nuremberg. I know I said this before, but what a cool place!
Hi Liesa,
I think I've poked my head out of lurkdom before, but if not, hi there!
Your TR has been full of many ups and downs, poor puking children and husband, lovely German art and architecture. I cannot blame your daughter for being a bit frightened of those witches..... yeah, I think they would've freaked me out just a little.
I am thoroughly enjoying your report and we haven't even gotten to WDW yet! I will patiently wait for the next installment.![]()
Great Update Liesa.
Now I'm reaching back to my Art History days in college (Which wasn't all that long ago. I've only been out of school for 3 years) But I believe that style of architecture is Gothic. I believe the Gothic style actually originates from Germany.
The Hexenhausel looked really cool. Some of those witch were pretty darn scary. I was waiting for you to say one of them invited Anara to come warm up in their Gingerbread House.![]()
The pukers were really missing out![]()
Your writing is hilarious!!! I also took the same parenting class. Eh, whatever works, right?
Those witches are sooooo funny!!!
It's called Ornatelookunvinderbuildin and it was quite common during the time that it was popular. (Which of course was during the century preceeding the one in which it was no longer popular.)If someone can tell me what this architectural form is called, Id be very grateful:
Hi Tink!! I think the spooky factor went way up when I hyped them up some. She enjoyed the mystery of them some I think in the end! We still talk about our scary meal at the Witch's Little House.
So, instead we fast walked, sort of like Rope Drop stampeding to Toy Story Mania. Well, not quite that fast, but quick enough to work up some body heat, and to work up an appetite worthy of the German food we were about to consume.

You're welcome.
Great update Liesa!
That food looked awesome!
Of course! It will be one of those random memories of the trip that you'll remember forever.![]()
How many other places could you descibe the speed of your walk this way and have people understand. We understand.![]()
Those witches are a hoot. I am glad Anara came back from the bathroom Okay.![]()
