My employer is sOOOO happy you have this game going.

O is from Space Mountain.

Surely you are being facetious...

We've had chickens - believe me, you don't want them! :rotfl2: Well, okay free eggs from something that just eats your food scraps isn't too bad. I was hired at a store when we first moved here for holiday work, and I was one of the 2 they kept after. I worked in the office, which did free wrapping all year round. I liked it!

Soup and sandwiches sound like a good idea! You could just let everyone build their own - easy peasy. Who cares what they're eating if the company is good!:thumbsup2 Waiting to hear how your trial comes out.

I didn't guess - looks like some aliens I know, but my screen showed the white of the other guesses really clearly, so I'm going to bow out again!

My neighbor had chickens for a while, but had to get rid of them because of a rat problem. Not sure what to do about that. Anyway, I doubt it will happen for a while. Dog first. THen we'll see.

I'm not sure they keep me afterwards, but we will hopefully be moving anyway to Salem, sooooooooooooo... ???? Yeah, my life a great, big, giant question mark.

My experience is that no one really cares what they are eating as long as whatever is served is done with a high class flair- drink stations- hot and cold- placed around the house, liberal snacks, and loads of desserts. I think it will be a great time. In the past, Mike's parents would host a sit-down dinner for close family, then have the distant cousins only for dessert at like 7 or 8:00. I just dont' see the value of having people come from all the way over on the coast to see us for a couple hours?? One night a year. I say let's just have it open house style for 40 and have folks come and go as they please.

Cynthia had the same problem (do you use the DLR srcreen too?), but I figured she wasn't playing so I could go with the white out option. Is it only when I quote them?? If so, I can delete the answers and them quote. If you can actually SEE THEIR answers, then we'll have to figure out another option so you can play- sort of like, "No player left behind".

BTW, I did get your PM, but haven't had time to respond yet- but I WILL!! Promise!

O Boy! I have nO idea!

Keep thinking- or searching... ;)

After consulting the zillions of pictures I have I am going with
Space Mountain

Gotcha!

Well, I THOUGHT I was.......

Don't worry, Marv, I"m just yanking yur chain.

Okay Looser her is gonna guess Soarin

Well, then, you're still a winner. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

HAHA.... :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Hey did you send that thing? I told Melody about stopping to do it and she was more than happy to oblige. :goodvibes:goodvibes

I had to do my working interview today, as well as do a BIG grocery shop, take the kids to TKD, and then made a big pot of stew. It was a busy day, as was yesterday, which was much the same, just different tasks.

A long story short, no.

I"m so glad Mel is willing do take care of it!! Tell her THANKS!!!

For those of you who have no idea what we're talking about, I think either Tim or I will eventually give you pictures and the WHOLE story at some point... which really isn't saying much- could be months. :lmao:

As us ITALIANS say (and no I'm not Italian) Did you take care of that thing? :lmao:

You are right.. the way your TR is going, it could be years till they find out! :scared1: pirate:pirate:

Hideously behind...I'm still (reading about you) in Germany and am not sure where you are lol...but at least wanted to do a drive by hello!

Okay before I get to all the reading I have to answer the question. This one stumped me for a bit, but I got it finally.

Your dark gave part of it away and the rest had to come from pictures. Space Mt. I thought it was going to be Goofy's Candy store because of the OO, but that's in all differnt colors inside and this was to big. But I'm pretty sure I'm right.

I have to admit, I don't know what a DLR screen is - guess I'll have to google it. It's okay. If I'm on top of things, I can tip the screen back and not see the white. And alot of times I'm too behind anyway. Unless we don't want to leave Cynthia behind! :goodvibes

No hurry on the PM - just a blessing I feel compelled to share!

Hope you had a great day!

I didn't know this Tammie....are they a pain to take care of? I told my DH I wanted them about a year ago and he about had a fit! He said they stink and that he didn't think taking care of them would be as pain free as I thought. He probably has a point and I'm not sure our HOA will allow it. I'm hoping if we move out onto some land in the next few years we'll be able to have them then. :goodvibes

I enjoyed talking with you yesterday. :goodvibes

Good morning Liesa!! Thanks for the PM! ;)

Actually the cupcakes are still in my freezer... :rolleyes1 I wanted to get at least a few things prepared on Friday for the party on Saturday and one thing was baking the cupcakes. I had these lovely silver cupcake paper forms for quite some time (bought them at a Walmart in North Conway, NH in 2008) that I wanted to use. So late Friday evening I finally make those chocolate cupcakes in order to put the frosting on on Saturday. They were supposed to be the dessert for my guests on Saturday together with the cranberry upside down cake. Then on Saturday morning I go to my parents for breakfast and my mother has bought this beautiful cake from the bakery behind St Sebald where you have been as well. She thought since I was having guests it would make sense to give me a cake since I had people to share it with! :goodvibes Which was very sweet!! It was a typical Bavarian cake called Prince Regent's Torte (see more about it on the official Bavarian Ministry of Food website). So it was mainly a chocolate cake as well... I thought the cake was so great!! So the cupcakes had to go into the freezer to be used for another occassion! :goodvibes

From the description of that meal you had at your last visit to Mel's grandparents before she lost her grandmother, I think I need to go out and find some Italian BFFs! Not only can they cook up some large quantities of amazing food, but are pretty funny to boot.

I will do it today!!

hopefully not years- I hope to actually start the Disney portion soon-only about 4 more installments on Germany- then 3 or 4 for Kentucky then the REAL stuff.

Hideously behind...I'm still (reading about you) in Germany and am not sure where you are lol...but at least wanted to do a drive by hello!

so glad you popped in!!! I 've wanted to call many times, but thought it might butt into plans you already had, so resisted. PM me a good time to give you a ring.

Great research!!! YOu are one smart cookie!

Hope you had a great day!

It's another screen style/color you can choose here on the DIS, that is themed in golds and green, I believe? (need to go check that) but that when you use it, the whited out fonts show up. Cynthia has that one running in her DIS screen so, if she was playing regularly, I'd edit out your answers in white, and then quote you. If that makes sense, then you've had enough coffee this morning. Which clearly I haven't.

How did that go today? I've been thinking about you. :)

It went well. I was really wrappin' and rollin'. :lmao:

WOW!! That cake looks amazing. And hard to make. Well, maybe not hard, but certainly a ton of work!!

So was it from the Neef's bakery?? The one we got that plum tort from? They have some amazing treats in there, but when I was photo editing last night, I have NOT ONE picture of our time in there. Not of my coffee, Anaras' hot chocolate, nor our plum thingy. I was stunned!! And sad. Ah well.

Cupcakes freeze great! Now, you already have something for when you have your work collegues over for games or movie night. :thumbsup2 Hot deal!

Your mom is so sweet; tell her hello from us once again!!

How did your working interview go? Mmmmm I love stew do you have a good recipe? I hate doing BIG grocery shopping I try to avoid taking anyone with me as I tend to spend more than what I want to :rolleyes1

IT went well. The staff is very friendly, and very forgiving of my 4 million mistakes. It will take some doing to not tear off too much paper!! For I am terrible at judging quantities and length. But I will learn, it wasn't hard.

I found some meat in the outdated bargain bin, and came right home and used it. I just dredge the meat chunks in seasoned flour, and brown it well in some cooking oil. Then I add the celery, carrot, onion, and sautee a bit more until they are soft. Adding 3 boullion cubes and a bit more salt and pepper, I pour in about 2 quarts of water, and let it simmer on low for a couple hours. (stir often or it can stick to the bottom as it thickens). About 20 minutes before serving I add potato chunks. Oh yeah, I also add a couple tablespoons of tomato paste, and if you want to you could add a can of tomato chunks. Nothing special or fancy, just real manly man food that my hubby adores on a cold, rainy, Northwest day.

I try to only do a BIG shop once a week or less. I too go BY MYSELF. That is the one day a week I treat myself to a Starbucks, and I take my time. No rushing these things, right. Seriously, if I have kids or try to rush, I come home with half my list. And that bites!

I REEAAALLLYYY wish I had read this before reading and responding to Rosie's latest update!!!! :rolleyes1

LOL!!!

She's got a winner in that photo. Who could top that?? :lmao:

Thanks!! I think I did welll, but again, not getting my hopes up- there are 2 positions for which 3 are being interviewed. If I don't get it, I will have all time I need to host really, really well at Christmas!!

I ditto the well wishes on the interview !!As for Piglet being a winner :lmao::lmao:I think that pix is the new Bestest of Rosie !!! What would have been better is if someone captured me torpedoing down the Bleachers at Fantasmic !!!:rotfl2:Or getting stuck in the Elevator !!!:lmao:

Yes, some video of you going down like a ton of bricks at Fantasmic would have been golden. But typically, no one is fast enough with their camera to get great stuff like that. As for elevators, Piglet better watch out!

Exactly.
