Time for another letter to parade on in. Letter K has been waiting for a long while to have his turn, and here he is!

Just tell me where you can find this one in the World- white out your answers, and it's points for everyone who guesses. Make sure you play this round, I'm thinking next time, it will be a PM only type of gig. ;)

Perfectly stuffed with the best sausages I’ve personally EVER eaten, it was time to strike out again to see what we could see. Folks, it just doesn’t get better than this! Along the way, we saw a few things like this:

I couldn’t’ help but be completely enamored with these!! I don’t know about you, but I am very excited to see Katharina in her getup! (Which I hope she’ll post here when it’s up)

But, this proved to be something that had a rather larger impact on our day. Here at the Hauptmarkt, we found an amazing array of fresh fruits and vegetables, stands with the regional delicacy of gingerbread, incredible flowers and raspberries.

Mike couldn’t resist giving into his complete abstinence of fresh berries for over 2 years one second longer, and bought a pint of them. And ate them. All.

Here on the square, aside from the market itself was our next destination- the Beautiful Fountain. And beautiful it is!! I have never seen such incredibly intricate metal work.

Indeed the craftsmen of Nuremberg were masters of their trades, as we’ll see many more times in our journey together. One of the “hidden treasures” of this no-longer-wet fountain is a brass ring laced into the metalwork.

The incredible thing about this ring is that it appeared mysteriously one night hundreds of years ago, and had NO seams. Legend says if you spin the ring, your wishes come true- so naturally we took a spin on the ring-around-the-brassy.

I thought an obvious wish would be for a Magical trip to Disney in just a couple short weeks from this day!!

But instead of Mike’s dreams coming true, his worst nightmare manifested. The raspberries came back to haunt in the form of barfing relapses. (And you thought you were safe…) Back to the hotel we went, not only to check once more on the kids, but to put one more down for the count. All afternoon, in fact.

Mike would NOT have a magical day, but I sure wish you one!

Liesa, the fountain is absolutely beautiful and you caught so much of the intracies of it.

Poor Mike; I hope this latest bout doesn't last too long.

I was worried when you said he ate the whole pint of fresh berries. I know what that would do to me....especially if it had been awhile since I'd had any. Hope the after-effects are short-lived!

It was so stunning! Really, I have not seen anything like it anywhere around here.

Let's just say he was not functional until the next morning.

Yep. He paid dearly for his binge. Guess that tummy wasn't quite ready for a seedy overload.

Beautiful pictures!!!

That fountain is amazing!!!! I'm sure by spinning the ring you ended up with a great Disney trip!! Maybe Mike should of spun it too?

Why didn't Mike eat berries for 2 years? Has this type of 'thing' happen to him before?

You guys couldn't catch a break huh? :sad2:

Spinning it should have cured Mike, but those raspberries caught up with him first.

In Kaz., we couldn't get fresh berries at all. The ones that did make it up to us from Uzbekistan came in a hot train for a thousand miles and arrived squashed, moldy, and gross. Not worth popping in your mouth.

Nope, no breaks for the weary- and eager to see.

I can see why Mike wouldn't of been interested to eat any berries in the land of Kaz. I don't blame him.

Feeling much better this week! Thank you! At week 4 of the 6-8 week initial recovery - will see the radiologist oncologist November 17th for his recommendations...expecting 3 to 5 radiation treatments and then we continue prayer of gratitude as God continues to shower me with so many incredible blessings! Check ups every three mos - God does have a sense of humor...this for someone who avoids Drs like the plague!

Camille, I would join you and Liesa in a heartbeat! Just say the word. :thumbsup2 Of course, would not want to be a 3rd wheel though.... :rotfl:did not mean to invite myself along. :sad2:

No way were you inviting yourself to come along! :goodvibes
I figure the more well seasoned travelers the better, 1) Y'all know the ropes a little more than I would and 2) you both would inspire me to be more on my game when we go, you know with reasearch and studying and all that jazz. :goodvibes

Now, I just need to find a good job, and make some travelling dough!!

You and me both sista! :)

I do hope that ORegon is at the top of your list!! :thumbsup2

Very top! :goodvibes

This is such GREAT news, Christine!! I"m so glad you are feeling pretty well, given the circimstances!! Let's all pray each week gets better and better!!! :worship:

::yes::

You can certainly join us!! OF COURSE you would be VERY, VERY welcome!!

::yes:: She is more than welcome!! :goodvibes

Mikki will get better in time. I"m just glad she will still let us snuggle her and comfort her, that she will talk to us, and is not too bottled up to cry and let it out!!

Awwww, it's good that she will do this, not many teenagers will. :sad2:

I'll say! Poor guy, his tummy was not ready for all those acids to hit. :sad2:

Great post by the way, I'm still travel slobbering over your pictures. The more you show the more excited I get about visiting the girls there.

That's what I thought you'd say. Now, go back and read the update- I stuck letter K up there.

For those of you who might have read the update without Letter K, he is eager to have you go back and guess where he resides.

No way were you inviting yourself to come along! :goodvibes

You Ninja posting on me, Camille!! Alas, DH is bugging me for his computer, so I need to give it up. I'll have to respond in the morning. Good rest!

No worries Tim, that would have been a direction I would have gone if I hadn't practically memorized this sign since I had a long wait on both trips to ****** the last time we were in the world.

LOL This is one game that I totally stink at! Oh well There is always 'L' to look forward to! I've seen the sign to my answer so many times, I cannot believe I goofed this up! :badpc::badpc::badpc: :badpc::badpc::badpc:

I would love to post more, so just a few things:

Letter is from Jiko

I would know a world with "K" which would fit for this chapter.... "kotzen" is a German verb which translates into to barf or to puke (in the sense that it is not a refined word to use).... ;)

Poor Mike that he had to pay so dearly for his joy of eating fresh fruit. :sad2:

And the little ladybugs you saw at the bakery are made from marzipan, as well as the little rolls with sausages which you can see in the same display. I just explained about marzipan on my TR and was actually thinking when I saw your post that I ought to link to it from my TR to further explain the use of marzipan. And for those who don't know what marzipan is: it is a mixture of ground almonds, sugar and a hint of rose water. The liqueur Amaretto tastes like marzipan if that is any help to someone. I hate it, Katharina loves it....

Awww sorry to hear about your husband - :sad2:  :sad2: - hope he is enjoying fresh berries now without any negative ramifications.

Beautiful photos!:)

I'm not much for it either Magdalene. :sad2: My sister's mom buys it for her and puts in her stocking every year. She hates it too. Hmmmm I'm wondering if there's a message in that? :rotfl:
Oh! Did I say that outloud?!? Does that last comment make me sound evil? :rotfl:

Very nice pictures Liesa! I love the markets in Nuremberg, they have always great vegetables, as the area around the city produces lots of good vegetables, it is called Knoblauchland - garlic land.

I think the K is from Jiko
