aren't you the STAR! How very fun. Great pictures and update!
ugh on the wind, we've had a lot of that here too. Good for work but not so good for sleep. I think the 3 day quietude sounds like a very good idea!
It's been so fun to write this TR! Every new post is another chance to have some creative outlet (and of course, just tell it like it was

)!
I hear you there- we have a ton of VERY large trees on this property, and when the wind blows it really howls through them! Especially the cedars. Makes the window dirty too, as it blows all kinds of crap (sometimes literally) around. Those dang geese!
DH's idea of a perfect vacation is up to his elbows in car parts.

Not me!
I have to have actual down time planned with my mom or we go until I drop.

When we had ressies out of the park that we were in I had to start herding her to the front about an hour before we actually had to leave. She would stop and say, "I have to get a picture of that!" And "that" was just about everything we saw.
Me neither!! Unless it's Test Track.
I was kind of like that too- but I made my downtime IN the parks a lot of times. It really worked for me, to find a bench and sit. I would grab a snack and write- or I would intentionally just look for photos. But then again, I also planned a few times of resort time, in order to swim or walk there. So much to see everywhere really.
Liesa - Great update! DHS first huh, I tend to go to MK first, it's the kid in me.

I need to take more time for pics and not rush to all of the rides.
This trip, the EMHs dictated where I was going. I ALWAYS want maximum touring hours, so, going completely against all touring recommendations by most DISers and ALL UG folks, I hit every EMH I can! I know it's not for everyone, but I've never NOT done ALL I've wanted to do, even though it's been a bit more crowded- and sometimes it's not.
Anyway, I'm not sure you were reading along with our PTR much. Part of this trip was a "tribute" so to speak to my Grandmother who passed away last year. This park was very "her". From the Art Deco/ 40's theming to the Brown Derby. I really wanted to start my trip off thinking of her and all she meant to me. And I will definitely hit that more in a few installments. That was the major reason I went to DHS first this time around. I don't have one park I must start at anyway, and it just happened to work out this time that this was the right place to be first off.
I want a Kookie pen, I also want to try the Shrimp Chow Mein, I will remember to make sure it it thoroughly cooked as well.
Loved your DHS pictures, you look so happy!! It looked like a beautiful day.
It was a VERY beautiful day, Tracy! The sun was shining, the park wasn't that packed (at all!), and I did everything I wanted to and so, so ,so much more!!
That lo mein filled me up to the tippy top and last all the way until dinner- at a particular favorite place of yours!!!

In fact, my dinner was completely inspired by YOU, so I think it's very Providential that you happened to post again!!!!!
Maroo - I'm glad to see another coming to the something, something DARK SIDE (Family Guy reference.. I'm sorry I couldn't help myself) And by that, I mean congrats on the new spiffy Mac

Best computers of life. The cat is SO cute!
Liesa - looks like you had a gorgeous day at DHS. Love the hot wheels to match your HOT pink crocs

And you moved...again?! The new place sounds so tranquil. Pictures? Pretty please?
