The 3 most Pops (Sodas) you drink

I drink maybe 1 coke every 2 or 3 weeks, and that's a diet coke. I'm from Georgia, we call all soft drinks coke then sort of specify down from there. You want a coke? Sure. What kind? I'll have a Dr. Pepper.

I gave up all soda a year ago.
But prior to that my list would have been:
1) Diet Coke
2) Mountain Dew
3) Dr. Pepper

Pepsi
Coke
Dr. Pepper

No real preference. I buy and stock up when 12 packs are on sale for $2.99 or less. Dr. Pepper is distributed by Coke in this area.

A question for those who call all soft drinks Coke. Why go thru the routine of saying "I'll have a Coke," then waiting to be asked "what kind of Coke?" Why can't you say right off the bat "I'll have a Dr. Pepper coke."?

1. Diet Coke
2. Diet Coke
3. Diet Coke

Much prefer fountain pop over canned or bottled.

I love Dr.Pepper 10, Diet Dr.Pepper Cherry, and Mister Pibb, that is the abosulte bomb os soda

I am trying to cut back on some sodas. I am so glad they brought back the New York Seltzer line, I love the Root Beer.

I call it soda, so do the majority of people I know. I grew up in MO and live in AR.

We don't have soda in the house except for a rare occasion.

If I drink it, it's diet coke 99% of the time. Sometimes I get weird cravings for orange Fanta, so I guess it accounts for the other 1%. And when I say weird craving, I mean, it's a crazy have-to-go-to-the-convenience-store-now-or-I'll-die kind of thing!!

Lol, this was SO confusing for me when I was first waiting tables in my early 20's! Im from CT and when I would get customers from certain parts of the south they would say, "I'll take a coke" I would write it down and then try to proceed to the the next person, but then they would say "yes, well I would like a Sprite!" I kept thinking these people were changing their orders on me! :rotfl:I finally caught on, but not after thinking people were just messing with me for a while!

Similarly, until this very day I have people come up to the bar and say "I'll have a soda"...sometimes they mean coke, sometimes they mean seltzer, sometimes they literally mean just pick a soda, any soda :confused3 But I always have to ask for specification.

I have quit several times, and yea I am back at it.

1. Diet Mtn Dew (which is basically like my version of water now)
2. Coca Cola
3. Mtn Dew

....and if I am ever down where I lived when I was young, gotta get Ski.

1. Dt Mountain Dew (sometimes I add a shot of Dt Cherry or Dt Blueberry syrup).
2. Dt Vanilla Coke
3. Dt. Cherry Coke

Pepsi
Coke
Dr. Pepper

I'm sure it comes from the fact that coke is a Georgia thing. It's just like you might say do you want a soft drink? Yes, I'll have a Pepsi. Would you like a coke? Yes, I'll have a Dr. Pepper.

I've slowed down on drinking pop but:

Coke
Cherry Coke
Cherry Dr Pepper

(I'll sub in Pepsi if that's what a restaurant offers)

Deep south - all soft drinks are Coke or cold drink - we sort of switch around!!

Mostly drink water, otherwise -
Diet Coke
Diet Cherry Coke
Diet Dr. Pepper

I don't drink soda much - I'm more of a sweet tea drinker.
But sometimes a fountain Coke tastes SO good!

1. Cheerwine Soda (local North Carolina Cherry flavored soda)
2. Pepsi (high test)
3. 7up or something similar.

I really don't drink much in the line of soda... mostly unsweetened iced tea.

They are soft drinks in New Zealand. I probably average one a week, almost always coke (regular). One of my favourite restaurants stocks Dr Brown sodas, I have been known on occasion to get a Cel-Ray soda much to my kids disgust!
