The 2010 Baltic Thread--Cruise Tips and Planning

Would love if someone who's taking the DCL transportation from London Hotel to port would report on how it worked out-check in, pick up, type of transportation, how long a drive etc.

Same here... I'm staying at the Disney Vacation Club Concierge Collection hotel in London, the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington and made arrangements to go to the Grosvenor House to pick up the DCL transfer... Wondering how it will all work out...

We are also making our way to Grosvenor House to pick up the DCL transfer-I imagine we would have to "report in"a day or two before hand?

Ditto. We are staying at the Renisance Chancery Hotel and have the DCL pkg.So would love to hear how it works out !

When we left out of Barcelona in '07, we were able to check in for the cruise at the hotel. The DCL reps had a table set up for 2 days. We got our KTTW cards. They picked up our luggage that am and off we went. Only had to get our picture made then boarded the ship. So Easy !!

Hopefully, this will be the same !

BTW, I hate snakes, too !!:scared1::scared1::scared1:

Well, when I called DVC to make sure this was allowed, they gave me a number for Ground Services and told me to contact them on July 5 to make sure that everything is arranged and under control.

They will then alert you to Departure Times and requested that folks arrive at least 15 minutes prior to Departure Times.

Would you PM me that number please-I contacted DCL and it was noted on my reservation but they didn't give me a phone number.

We leave tomorrow and are staying at the Park Westminister Bridge one of DCL hotels. I will post how things went. The hotel advertises free WIFI. DS andBIL are staying at the same hotel but did not book through Disney. They have transportation from the hotel to the ship but not from the airport to the hotel. They were informed to check into the cruise desk at one of the DCL hotels.

No chance of Sunshine this week in London

I'll be there two weeks from now. Would you please order a little sunshine, Andrew? :) Thanks!

And for the Beginning of July please and thanks-greatly appreciated!

For you both, I will try my very very best, now we have the Tennis and the so called, Wimbledon effect, (From 21st June) that tends to give us rain or a heatwave but nothing in between.

I want Sun for mid July, so lets all do a sundance.

Looking outside my Window all I see is dark clouds! Sunset is 21.15 tonight.

Thanks, Andrew! We arrive on the 20th, so I think I'd prefer the heatwave, tyvm. :teeth:

How about no heat wave; instead, hope for nice warm weather and sunshine. Somewhere between 75 and 85 degrees F or 25-30 C. :goodvibes

:lmao:

Well thats a precise order, even our weathermen can do that.

London is often all or nothing, Rain or Sun, Snow, or Heatwave,

Just been out and raining now!!

OK, lets see what we can do,

We have a booking for

Carribean heatwave on Sunday 18th July, all day, for the Kent area. All the way to 6pm. ( I put that one in).:)

OK, my vote is just for weather that doesn't interfere with flying in or with getting to Dover. I think that's fair. In other words, no volcanic ash!!!
