I know that you like the Beach Club, since you work there, but is the BC your favorite resort to stay in? How about before you worked at Disney?
That's a hard question. If my daughter ever decides to get married, we would definitely have the wedding at the Y&B and we'd all stay at the BC. However, when we came to visit WDW before we moved here, we stayed all over the place. When it was the yearly week vacation with the three of us, I'd have to say my husband and daughter usually picked the GF. However, we also picked Animal Kingdom Lodge as the last place for our Disney vacation before we moved here. When Jeanne and I came for a quick three or four day weekend, we loved to stay at Port Orleans in Alligator Bayou. My mother loved the BC the most but disliked the YC. When we visited WDW, we rarely spent time in the pool ... we ran like crazy all day at the parks so SAB wasn't a biggy for us. However, like I said before, we've talked about a future Disney wedding and the BC is the family's choice. It's not because I work there either. My husband worked at the Contemporary and we never even considered having a wedding there. The BC feels homey to us and not resorty (is that even a word?) and that's why we love it so much.
I don't know if this has been discussed, but I was wondering ... with the recent renovation of the rooms at BC, were the suites redone at all? I fantasize about staying in the Newport Suite one day, LOL!![]()
Hoping one day we can stay in the Nantucket or the Newport Suite.
I tried to splurge a bit for next month and surprise my wife with this room
but couldnt afford either. wouldve made our one year wedding anniversary
really complete since we got married here.
BTW, didnt the BC drop these two names and just leave it as the presidential suite and some other name
for the second one?
Welcome home Teena! I am glad you had a great trip. We are also big fans of the Disney Magic. On our last cruise we had some very special pixie dust sprinkled on us and it has left a lasting impression. Also a big fan of the Golden Mickeys and sorry to see it go. Castaway Key is just pure heaven.... I guess you will have to book another cruise so you can really enjoy it with some nice weather.
Glad you had a lovely trip Teena. 13 weeks today we start our journey to the beach club (it'll be monday tea-time before we arrive though). I look forward to saying Hi![]()
everything I write is just my opinion and not an opinion of the Walt Disney Company.
... what a nice community we have!!
TeenaS~
Thanks so much! That was a big concern for me, .....
Thanks again!![]()
We have taken 2 cruises in the last 2 years. both on the Magic - we did the western first and in August we were supposed to do the easter - but there was a hurricane so we did the Western again. I have to say it is the best vacation ever....you are treated like royalty...so much for the kids and adults to do....my kids absolutely loved it. We are planning another in 2012 (hopefully on the new FANTASY)Welcome home Teena. Your cruise sounds lovely. About how many cruises have you been on? I really want to try DCL sometime but can't seem to tear myself away from the resortsYou say Spring and Fall are your usual timeframe, do you prefer one over the other. Do seas tend to be calmer in the Spring? (sorry this is a bit OT
)
What is it about the VP suite that makes it your favorite, if you don't mind my asking? Is it the view? The location? What is the bedding arrangement? Thank you in advance.
Just about 2 months 'til we'll be at the BC![]()
Thank you so much for all the advice and information you contribute to this board!
I am so excited about my family's first visit to WDW I can barely contain myself. Focusing on my work instead of your posts until May 1st is going to be very challenging.
Have a great day!
Also could tell you were back. The forum has jumped 2 pages in less than a day. As you folks say....Welcome Home
! We missed you!
