Well it looks like I may become a regular on this thread. We are planning our next WDW trip for 6/11 and were planning on saving some $$ by staying at the Dolphin. My DS called a family meeting last night (which was really funny to hear a 10yr old call a meeting) and he wanted to discuss our trip plans. He asked if we remembered walking past SAB and touring the BC on our trip last summer. He asked if we remembered how cool the pool was and how much he loved the look of the restaurants and lobby. Then he asked if there was any way that we could switch the Dolphin part of our trip to the BC. He was sooo cute with his plea. He said he would contribute all the money he makes doing chores and he said that we should remember that he is growing up fast and that it would be good to stay there while he is still young enough to enjoy the pool slide.:rotfl2: Gotta love the little bugger! I am sold but I just need to convince DH, which I don't think should be too big of a problem.

Hi Teena!

Will you be working Monday April 12th? We'll be arriving sometime in the late morning/early afternoon depending what time I get DH's butt in the rental car.

Would love to say hi!

Meg

ETA: I just finished reading 181 pages of this thread and can't think of a single question :)

Yep, I'll be there from 8:30 AM to 4:45 PM with two short breaks throughout the day (11:45 AM - 25 minutes and 3:00 PM - 15 minutes). I look forward to meeting you. Are you staying at the BC or BCV?

This link has all the info about refillable mug locations:

http://allears.net/din/mugs.htm

It looks like Hurricane Hanna's, Beaches and Cream and Marketplace, but maybe someone who has been there more recently can confirm!

Ale & Compass in the YC lobby serves continental breakfast and I've read you can get refills there as well. Haven't done so myself.

Our trip is coming up soon!! We're wondering about SAB hours recently - can anyone report on the recent/upcoming hours? Thanks!!

I just checked the activity sheet and the resort info foldout sheet that I received last week. Neither lists specific hours. If it's too cold, it might not open at all which happened when we were there in January. Brrr!

Can refillable mugs be used in ALL the resorts or just the resort that you are staying in- we go to Poly, Contemp, GF, Boardwalk... for breakfast's and dinners

Just the resort where it is purchased, IIRC.

bicker is correct. There is little print on the mugs that is now quite specific about that. However, I do think Y&BC is considered one large resort.

What a cute story.:surfweb: He sounds like a determined young man. Happy planning and welcome aboard. :grouphug:

Regular BC! I upgraded from CSR w/ a bonus from work and was going to surprise DH- but I am a really bad secret keeper and told him the next day

Glad we'll be there at the same time!

Thanks, BCV23! I was anxious to find out, but I may be able to answer my own question soon. We have friends arriving at BC tonight, and we asked them to check SAB hours and e-mail in the next couple of days - I'll post when we hear back!

The hours can change according to weather and occupancy. Right now it's so windy and cold ... I feel like I'm back in Pennsylvania instead of Florida.

Thanks, Teena! Does BC decide the hours daily, and how do we find out when we are there? I just want to prepare our boys if it looks like they won't be able to swim next week!

They normally decide a few days before if they are going to change the hours due to occupancy numbers (like during the holidays ... Easter, etc.). As far as weather, they make that decision every morning. It's rarely closed for cold because we rarely get weather like we've had lately. I just heard next week is suppose to be really nice (as of now) so I wouldn't worry. Remember, the hours are for SAB. The quiet pools are open 24/7 whether it's 30 degrees or 90 degrees.

Thanks, again, Teena! We'll see you soon!

One more question! (I know I keep saying that!) We just received an e-mail from Disney, and it mentioned (among other things) that BC Marketplace opens at 7am. I was hoping it opened earlier, especially when we are getting to EMH at the parks - is 7am the earliest we can get our refillable mug coffee?

Hi!
I believe from reading this thread that the drink station will turned on at 6:30 am, with coffee to refill your mug, but the Marketplace itself doesn't open until 7.

I have my DH home from his deployment, and I only have 23 days until checking into my dream resort of BC! I am just sitting here with my beer reading this great thread and dreaming of being beside SAB and contemplating the walk to Epcot for an evenign stroll around the countries. And I just found out about the Tequila Cave...

Yippeee!

Hi Beech Club fans. I've been reading through some of this wonderful thread for a while now trying to learn as much as I can about this awsome resort. I'm booked for a studio at BCV on 9/23-10/1. It is a suprise birthday trip for my DD11. I'm so thrilled to be planning another Disney vacation. I'll soon be making my ADR's, so I have a question. In September, about what time do they do the camp fire sing-a-long and movie on the beech? I plan on making a ressie at Cape Mays and want to be finished in plenty of time to do the camp fire and movie. Thanks so much.

Yay! Sorry I missed that - thanks for the quick response!

:goodvibes No problem! Didn't mean to sound snooty, I just meant I didn't know from personal experience b/c I haven't been yet.

Hi TeenaS. We will be at BCV on the 9 - 14 May and we will be celebrating my birthday on the 13th. Hope to bump into you...8 weeks to go till I leave on a jet plane :)

I should be there on the day you arrive. See you in eight weeks!

Congratulations - on having your DH back AND Beach Club in just a few weeks :cool1: I have to wait a few MONTHS but I'm very excited as well. I am so ready for sunny, happy Beach Club days :yay:

We are going to the BC from August 27-September 5 and we are going to be celebrating our family. It is the third aniversary of the finalation of our sons adoption. He is now getting old enough to understand this and I feel itis important to make this something special for our family.

This is our third trip as a family and we had done MNSSHP and I have done gift baskets in the past. Now I am looking for new and for the entire family.

So I am wondering if the BC has something or if anyone has any good suggestions.

Thanks
