I totally understand. I have that same feeling as I am counting down my Disney vacation with my hubby, daughter and her boyfriend. We're taking Jeanne and Brian on the Disney Magic on March 20th to celebrate her getting her masters degree at night while working full time as a second grade teacher. And she got all A's and A+'s except for one A-. I am soooooo proud of her!!! :woohoo:

That's SO awesome!!!!

Don't worry if you get the 1st floor - the snake at the CR was on an upper floor (LOL!). I have a phobia about snakes and still ended up loving our 1st floor room!

Fabulous! Just what I wanted to hear.... :rotfl2:
I'd be totally fine on the 1st floor. I'm just a teeny bit afraid of 1st floor with quiet pool view because I have water safety fears with 3 little kids! I worry that one of them will decide to run from the patio to the pool. I'm not a crazy, over-protective mom in general (ok, I'm crazy but not terribly over-protective ;) ) but kids and pools scare me!

We had a great dinner at Flying Fish last night. When we returned to the room there was a very magical surprise in our villa....a plate with chocolate covered strawberries, a plate of cookies and two carafes of milk. The unexpected magic is alive and well at WDW. I took a photo and will try to post it when I get home.

New at Flying Fish is Dinner with an Imagineer....or at least I haven't heard of it before last night.

I'm so happy to hear about your wonderful trip! It is definitely getting me excited for our trip (which feels so far away right now).

Amanda

Teena - congrats to your daughter! What a great way to celebrate together! Have a great time!!!

BCV23 - I am intrigued about your dinner at Flying Fish, and can't wait to see your photos. And thanks for the news about Dining with an Imagineer there. Geeez....just when I think I have things all figured out for our trip I go and learn about new experiences that I must have - LOL!:rotfl:

I do have one question to throw out there. Just how much of a delay will we experience entering Epcot in the morning from IG? I am one of those Park Opening, Soarin' FP crashers and the thought of not being ahead of the masses has me wondering if we should do the ridiculous and drive to the Park for opening. :rotfl:

Finally, can I just say that it hit me tonite that our trip is barely only 2 months away!!! I have been so excited for this trip to hurry up and arrive, and now I am in full panick mode that I need more time to get ready for it!

We were told by our managers and I think it was about six months ago that the IG would now open the exact second the front entrance opened so that people at the IG would get to Soarin the same time as the people at the front gate. Supposedly, the CMs at the IG have radios and they coordinate with the CMs that are leading the masses to Soarin from the front entrance and both crowds from both entrances are suppose to get to Soarin at exactly the same time and merge together. I personally have not tried it. Hopefully somebody here on the boards have done it recently and can tell you whether or not it is working the way we were told it was going to work.

Just a quick question.

Is there room service at the Beach club?

I know our family has all our reserves made, but sometimes during our stay we just get exhausted
(o.k. our 12 year old DS never does! LOL!) and we like to hang in our hotel and use room service as a treat.I know, sounds crazy to go to Disney and be using room service!

Thanks!

Yes, they definitely have room service. In fact we used it a few times. Sometimes you are just beat and room service is the answer. My kids actually like getting room service.

If you look at All Ears they have the room service menu listed.

HTH.

Disney Mom, Thanks! Thta is a nice room service menu! It is a LOT nicer than the POLYs Room service menu from when we were there in "08". We may be doing RS a couple of times! LOL!

Thanks again!

Hi!

We have added 2 nights waterview room at YC to our upcoming holiday. Am so excited as it is my dream resort, and it is a 10th anniversary treat!!! :lovestruc

The question is, how do I make room request? :confused3 I only have one and that is a Boardwalk view.

Do I fax, email or phone the resort?

Thank you :thumbsup2

Anyone???:confused3

Add the request to your reservation. If you made your reservation through Disney Travel, then call them and make sure "Boardwalk view" is added to your reservation. If you dealt with a travel agent, make sure your travel agent adds it to your reservation.

I'm so excited! I just booked our "surprise" October trip. I was able to still use the 40% code and was able to get BC again. I just booked a standard room since it's a shorter trip and we're doing two weeks in the Deluxe CL room in July.

Last year we did the 15th night at the Swan since they were running a really good special. We leave very early on the 16th day to drive to Hilton Head so I didn't want to pay for a deluxe club room when we wouldn't get the full use out of it on the last day. This year I was able to use the 40% code to book the 15th day in a BC standard room - only $204. This way we're just moving in the resort, no big deal, and we'll still have club level access on the 15th day!

We did the surprise trip in 2008 in October and it was great. DH is running the new 1/2 marathon and we'll be doing the F&W Festival and MNSSHP!
So now I get to plan two trips!!!!! Thank goodness for APs and codes!

The Boardwalk view is also a Lake view, so I would put on your request view of Crescent Lake. When we stayed at BC in December we had a water view room and I had requested a view of the lake and we got the view of the quiet pool with the lake behind it and then the BW behind that....it was awesome.

I'm a Soarin' junkie:lovestruc
Last trip I walked at a very fast pace;)ahead of my family. The guests from the front gate were rounding the bend at the same time I made it to the Land. Its actually pretty exciting as they have drums beating and the CM's were wearing Mickey gloves and giving out high 5's.

Does the BC (or any resort for that matter) ever run special prices/discounts on suites? I have never seen them listed so just curious. Sure would be nice to book but oh so expensive! :scared1:

Oh, good question! And to expand on it, can you use the special pin codes on suites???

You know we did look into buying DVC. The only thing that stopped us was that we would need a 2 bedroom (5 people) and the 2 bedroom for two weeks during the summer was astronical! We are going over to look at BLT in July - I know a one bedroom can fit five over there.

Thank you so very much for trying to help me :flower3: Unfortunately, the link did not work for me  If you get a chance could you post them or maybe give me the link again? Your pics sound like exactly what I'm looking for!

Sorry about that! I will try again! Hope these are large enough for you to get an idea. If not, if you PM me with your e-mail address I can e-mail the pictures to you.
