Thanks again Teena-you'll be fed up "talking" to me before I even make it to the beach club (really hope not though). Found your post really helpful and know what it is now.

No I won't be fed up ... all I want is everybody to have a wonderful Y&B vacation. I love my resort and hope everybody else finds all the good things about it too. We have awesome CMs there and managers and we all want everybody to have a super vacation with us. So if I can help by answering questions, I certainly will try.

:dance3:Just thought I'd share my excitement with you all(since you guys "get it"). This time 18weeks from now we will be 1hr into our 9hr flight to sunny florida (and the beach club of course)! I can hardly wait-I have that "kid at christmas" feeling when I think about it.:woohoo:

Joyce, the small salads and fruit cups are a snack on the DDP. There weren't any cut up veggies last night in that cooler but I am certain those were a snack in the past. Oh, maybe they were in the long cooler....didn't check that one. I'll look again today.

Thank you so much for taking the time to check for me. I'll update the snack list thread. Have a wonderful trip!
Joyce

:)I can definitely vouch for the wonderful cm's because last year we stayed at the yc for the first time and we were celebrating both my husbands bithday and our 21st wedding anniversary and I had forgotten to bring a birthday card and couldn't find one anywhere. Well we asked(the kids and I) at the shop in the bc and while there weren't any on sale, the cm there gave us a "celebration card" and 3 helium filled balloons to surprise him with. She was so kind and went to so much trouble to help us and really saved the day for the whole family. The kids still talk about it and they kept the little mickey weights as a souvenier.

I totally understand. I have that same feeling as I am counting down my Disney vacation with my hubby, daughter and her boyfriend. We're taking Jeanne and Brian on the Disney Magic on March 20th to celebrate her getting her masters degree at night while working full time as a second grade teacher. And she got all A's and A+'s except for one A-. I am soooooo proud of her!!! :woohoo:

That's a great story and a perfect example of Disney Magic. What a wonderful CM pixiedust:

congratulations to your daughter. It wont be long now until you're packing for your trip. My daughter is studying to be a teacher (she's in her 2nd year) and teaching 10/11yr olds for the next 6wks or so. She absolutely loves it and the kids seem to love her so all good.

Teena - that's wonderful! You should be so proud of her. Have a wonderful cruise!

I'm terrified of snakes so I had the same thought! I did requests a room "not on the 1st floor" so hopefully it won't be an issue!

Amanda

Don't worry if you get the 1st floor - the snake at the CR was on an upper floor (LOL!). I have a phobia about snakes and still ended up loving our 1st floor room!

First, Teena, congratulations to your daughter (and to you) on her accomplishment! We'll be at BC before you leave, and are looking forward to meeting you!

I'm hoping someone can help with one more question - it's not necessarily a resort board question, but I thought that BC experts might also be International Gateway experts. Any idea when the guest relations/will call windows at IG open in the morning? Is it usually an hour before park opening?

Thanks to JuJu's great advice, I kept trying to get an AP rate better than my PIN code, and I just did! We are arriving around 8am, exchanging our GAD vouchers at IG, upgrading to APs and then using it to get the AP rate at BC check-in. (I know you are supposed to enter the park first, but posters with recent experience completed the entire transaction at once outside of the park.) So the earlier those IG windows open, the better!

It should be at least 30 minutes prior to park open, and at least as early as the earliest ADRs you can get.

That was unbelievably quick! Thanks, doconeill! We recently switched to BC, so now we're entering via IG. I looked up EPCOT breakfasts earlier today, hoping there was an 8am ADR somewhere in the park, but it looks like the first ADR is at 8:30 that day (but that was from an allears 4/09 menu.)

8:30 used to be the earliest ADR for PSB. They changed it recently. I was able to book an 8:05 ADR for our July trip.

That's always tough. I've stayed at every Deluxe but the YC and although I would like to try it some day, I just booked BC in part b/c of its new CL lounge princess: I also like the sunny, festive vibe there. I think YC would be great for an adult trip if you're looking for more peace and quiet... Good luck with your decision :)

I think you got it spot on when you said 'peace and quiet'. The friend I am travelling with isn't overly keen on children. Obviously at Disney there are children and I love seeing them enjoy themselves but not having any youngsters myself (goes without saying that my friend has no kiddies either!) I do still like the quiet life, I guess at the YC we'd be more likely to get that. I still loved the BC though and didn't think it was overly noisy or packed, I guess my friend and I will be in talks.

They are the same except for colors mainly. I call the YC the "dark side" but both are very nice and have the same managers and cast members and share all the same amenities, etc.

Ha ha 'the dark side'. Is that a good or a bad thing?! Glad they do share the same amenities, best pool ever. <3

This is great news! I was hoping that 4/09 allears menu was outdated enough to have the wrong time. Thanks!!

Congrats to Jeanne!!! Thanks for sharing the great news with us. Enjoy your vacation with family on the Magic!

Does anyone have an recent photos of BC Waterview Club rooms or views?? I've searched but not come up with much :headache: So excited to be there in less than 100 days :yay:[/QUOTE said:
Here is a link to my photobucket account with 6 views from our club room (5631)- we had views of the pool, a glimpse of the lagoon and a GREAT view of the entrance to the Beach Club. Loved sitting on the balcony and watching the sights!

Teena, congratulations to Jeanne! What an accomplishment while working full time. :cheer2: Enjoy your cruise. :boat:

Someone asked about plain croissants.....sorry but I forget who. Anyway, there are racks of them behind the counter in the morning but not in the case. They are available for sale or as a snack credit.

We had a great dinner at Flying Fish last night. When we returned to the room there was a very magical surprise in our villa....a plate with chocolate covered strawberries, a plate of cookies and two carafes of milk. The unexpected magic is alive and well at WDW. I took a photo and will try to post it when I get home.

New at Flying Fish is Dinner with an Imagineer....or at least I haven't heard of it before last night.

BCV23 - Wonderful news about the Disney pixie dust!

Hope you are having a wonderful time.

We have an ADR for Flying Fish in July - our first time. Can't wait to hear all about it.

Thank you so very much for trying to help me :flower3: Unfortunately, the link did not work for me  If you get a chance could you post them or maybe give me the link again? Your pics sound like exactly what I'm looking for!

A rack of croissants will sound divine to DD

Hope your vacation continues to be magical
