The 2009 U2 Thread - No Line On The Horizon Album & Tour

Thanks for posting that pic!! The claw is massive!! We have tickets for behind the stage in Vegas so I'm glad we now know what to expect!

I have more pictures which show the lighting better!

The seats behind the stage at Vegas should be great. The Sam Boyd Stadium is the smallest stadium they are playing.

I can't wait until next week. Giants Stadium!!!

So, did anyone go to either of the Chicago shows? If so, how was it? We have GA's for Sunday and Monday nights in Foxboro. I still don't know what time to plan on being there.

My cousin's friend went to the Pat's game last night and said it took him almost 3 hours to get out of the parking lot!:sad2::scared1::eek: I'm hoping he was exaggerating but he's heading to the show Sunday and said he's not looking forward to dealing with the parking lot again. I can only imagine it will be worse than a Pat's game because there will be more people at the stadium due to GA. I really wish they were playing at the Garden rather than Gillette but I'll take what I can get!

We saw them at Foxboro during the popmart tour and yeah it was madness getting out, but so worth it. also saw them at the Garden :thumbsup2
anywhere they play is good with me

We'll be at Sunday's Gillette Stadium show!!!!!! We're in section 134. Thanks for the info about how much time it might take to get out of the parking lot. Sounds like we'll be packing some food and drinks to pass the time.

Getting you ready for the concerts!

Just waking myself up after the concert last night. It was amazing! This was their first night in Toronto and the dome was wide open! We took a ton of pictures and even some video.

We were in seats - 10 rows up from the floor - at about 4:00 around the side of the stage.

We took the kids! :cool1::cool1:So that was definitely a new experience for all of us! I have always told them I would eventually take them to a U2 concert - the only tours I have ever missed were October 1997 and May 2001 - birthin' my babies was the only way to stop me from going! And now my babies have been to their 1st concert - U2!!

They put on a really great show. Played a great list of songs. "Some new songs, some old songs, and some we barely remember how to play" as Bono said as he opened the set. They had 2 encores - one with 4 songs and the next with 3. (DON'T LEAVE UNTIL THE LIGHTS COME BACK ON! I can't believe people were leaving after the first encore!!)

Some surpises and special guests on the screen (won't spoil it for you!).

I've put some pics on facebook that you're all welcome to take a look at http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=122281&id=574871480&l=5c56f774a2

I don't know how to post pics here so if you can talk me through how to do it I can put a few on here for sure!

sounds great!!
we saw them in Toronto once too and at that time people left before an encore too!! we had only ever seen them in Boston prior to that and.............in Boston people stayed til the very very end. LOL

we are not making it to this concert and I am very bummed, but I will live it vicariously through you all!

We were at the last concert in Toronto - Vertigo. I have to comment that it seemed a very different experience. Both concerts were amazing - very visual - amazing lighting - great stages.
Vertigo was at the ACC - so indoors - hockey stadium vs. Rogers Centre - open dome - baseball stadium.
We had practically identical seats at both concerts. 5 rows up for Vertigo and 10 rows up for 360 - same angle around the stage. But for 360 we felt soooo far away. The distance between the stage and the first row of seats was probably double. At Vertigo I could see facial expressions etc. but I needed to use the zoom on my camera for the close shots you see in my album. Still an amazing concert though - just a much bigger show.

Are you going to the second Toronto show?

They will add some new songs for sure like they did in Chicago.

To add pix, you need to add them to photobucket and then copy the link from there.

Add them to photobucket.com first and if you still have questions, I'll be happy to answer them.

I had friends who did GA for Toronto.

I'm getting excited for my concerts at Giants Stadium next week!

No 2nd show for me - I'm exhausted! They were saying on the news here that people were lined up for the GA seats for yesterdays show from around 6am. Many just stayed after the show last night - left the stadium and lined up right away for the 2nd show. They're all in sleeping bags and blankets...too funny!
We didn't do GA since we were taking the kids and wanted them to see everything and not get squished. Next time will be just me and DH so we'll do GA to experience it!
Off to figure out photobucket - I may be back....

Love that pic of Bono! Can't wait to see more.

You guys are getting us so excited!!!:banana::banana:

Glad to hear the reviews so far have been great!

Yay it worked! Big though...This is the stage around 6pm when we were settling in...just so you could also see the GA audience at this time.

Between my DH and I we took over 200 pictures and some video. It was great!!

Wow, those are great shots!

I think my favorite part of the show was the Crazy remix. I loved it!

It's GA for the rest of my shows!

Yup! Me too! That was a pretty amazing! I always love to see something new done in a way that wows us at the concert - something you can't get off a CD!
