The 1980's.... that fashion is becoming popular again, it seems.

Are you talking about the ones with black soles or white soles? The black ones were Sebagos. I loved those shoes!!!

I think they were Docksiders thanks to Wilma Bud. I just remember everyone wore them including me.

I've actually been seeing boys at the local schools sporting mohawks. To this day, it still isn't a good look.

This guy will finally be back in STYLE...LOL

From our trip in 2005

OMG, I love the 80's. I didn't do the big Aqua net hair ok, not really big hair, but I dated some guys who did, the times of the glam bands. My exdh came over not too long ago with a neon green shirt, I told him the 80's called and wanted it's shirt back. I remember wearing cross earrings and my dgm thought I had finally "seen the light" but it was me trying to somewhat look like Madonna. I even watched Desperately Seeking Susan" yesterday.
Ahh, the 80's the mustang 5.0 with t-tops that some guys I knew drove. The camaro berlinetta, trans-am.
The net shirts that guys used to wear, NOT!
I wore stirrup pants, but not the floral jeans, my friend did then asked me what I thought of them, I told her and she got mad. Banana clips, leg warmers, yea I did them.
Sara Jessica Parker in Square Pegs and I had Johnny SLash glasses.
I love, love, love me some big hair! And miss my Camaro Berlinetta (which was actually made in 1979).

Anyone else love the big slouch socks that girls/women used to wear in the 80's? My girlfriend still has some of those and wears them because she knows I like them. I hope they come back in style. I hate those ankle socks that are in style now.

I remember boat shoes that we tied the knots in the ends to be like that. Penny loafers with a penny in them, and Tretorns

I loved my Tretorns

I just saw a show recently in which one of the characters was wearing Tretorns, light pink, which was also my favorite color. Arrrrrgh, I can't think of what the show (or movie, or whatever) was now, but I know it was set in present-day, 'cause my first thought was, "YAY! They're making Tretorns again!!"

My favorite pair was all-leather, 'cause they didn't get dirty very easily, though I also had several pairs of the canvas ones. I even seem to recall one of them being plaid (the little loopy swooshy thingie, not the whole shoe), that I thought were super-cool. :thumbsup2

I saw an ad in a magazine for Jordache :scared1: . I remember wearing them soooo tight you had to lay down to zipper them  .

My hair just doesn't do big very well. Guess I had better get out the Aqua Net and blow dryer :rotfl: :rotfl: .

My BFF had a pair of plyers in her pencil holder so you wouldn't hurt you fingers when you pull up the zipper.

Here -- circa '84/'85 -- rained out Springsteen concert. Ssssh, don't tell my parents I was drinking and smoking:

Hmmm......did you by any chance think that dressing like Courtney Cox in the "Dancing In the Dark" video would increase your chances to be pulled up to the stage to dance with The Boss? ;) :rotfl:

I was finally able to see your picture this morning at home. My job has filters, so I can't see it there.

DH saw it and mentioned that my hair looked like yours. But he said it looked like that up until I was pregnant with our DS in 2001. I remember my hair looking like that and loved it, but not for that long. We've been together since high school (1987). I'm wondering if he's starting to forget :rolleyes1

Our generation know that this is how Courtney got her start (I loved watching her as "Glo" in Misfits of Science). I wonder how many of the kids of this generation know that

I've been waiting for narrow leg jeans that ACTUALLY FIT AT THE WAIST and over-sized shirts to come back.

I hate the bell-bottoms and too-short shirts.

Having straight hair and no money in the 80s, we never went for all the fashion of the time. My sister had the better chance for the big hair as she had thick, curly hair.

Class of '88 here. :cool1:

Remember ....;) if a fad goes out and comes back in during your life, you should not try it the second time because chances are that you’re too old for it. ;)

LOL, who are you calling old ?;)

I actually saw LEGWARMERS in the store the other day :scared1:

My 14 year old just bought some the other night from Target and wore them to school already. I was already in my mid 20's in the 80's...all I had going on was the big hair.

I am a class of 90" girl myself. Still love my 80's music but can do without the fashion. The big thing in my school was French Rolling your pants and then wearing big scrunchy socks with your best flats that was for the Preps, then all the stoners wore the super tight jeans and leather boots that came up to below the knee, you could roll over the edge or not, your preference. I remember the Christmas of my junior year my mom bought me this outfit, plum purple pants and a shirt to match(with sholder pads of course) with a collar on the shirt that you could snap up to your chin or wear unsnapped, plus the matching purple belt that you wore over the shirt, Good Grief!! :lmao: The worst part is everyone thought it was awesome, even me :scared1:

I graduated in '90 too and I can rembember rolling my jeans real tight at the botton, first you cuff them then you fold them over to one side real tight then cuff them again.:rotfl: I can't imagine doing that to my jeans these days as I prefer wide leg/boot leg.

Another "Class of '90" here and I remember rolling the jeans. I didn't do it, but I did like the slouch socks. I still prefer wearing tapered legs when it comes to pants and jeans. Anything else gets in my way when I'm walking and I can't stand that :headache: . Could be b/c when I was younger my bell bottom pants got stuck in the chain of my bicylce :rolleyes1 .

I sure hope big hair comes back. Having straight hair has been a nightmare for me. My hair says the bigger the better.

:lmao: :goodvibes I am right there with you...went to the hair dresser yesterday and she confirmed bobs are coming back, not the Hollywood kind either. Ya! I had it cut and can finally wear some big hair again!:goodvibes
