I remember hearing that the microwaves are out for you to use in the food court.

Can I get a confirmation on this?

Sorry if this has been asked already, but can you bring microwave popcorn and ask them to pop it for you at the resort's food court?

The Microwave is out for use bring your popcorn just don't let it burn or the whole place will smell. Happened to someone while we were there and I walked into the food court and had to walk out (8months pregnant)

Loved the maps. they came on Friday. I think I'll request building 5. I would love to add a few more days. When I called CRO they said the POFQ does not have the ability to booked rooms and that I would have to call CRO # and can not get same day room ressie . So I'm confused

I was away for a few days and didn't see this.

We walked in at 6:00 p.m. on Monday night and told them that we had a reservation starting the next night (Tuesday) and we were wondering if they happened to have a room available since we arrived a day earlier than planned. The CM at the front desk had no trouble coming up with a room for us. So maybe you can't book rooms directly through POFQ, but if you walk in off the street, they might be able to give you a room. I think that if we hadn't been able to get a room there, we would probably have tried other resorts on property. Once dh drove under that welcome sign, I don't think he was willing to drive back off property to hunt for a hotel room. And the room they gave us for the one night was one floor up and one door over from the room we had for the rest of our time there.

I think you will be more than happy with Building 5. However, if you don't want to be facing the pool, you might want to request a garden view. That's what our TA told us she did. There's no charge for a garden view, but there is an extra charge if you ask for a water view, I believe.

Did you pack rack rate or did you get a discount on the room?

This question is in reference to when we arrived a day early and got a room for that one night before our reservation began. We were charged the same rate as for our reservation. Our TA watched for a discount of some sort for that time, but none were available unless we switched resorts. So I guess we paid rack rate for the whole time (unless our AAA was applied). I really don't know!

Are you driving? Take a right out of POFQ onto Bonnet Creek Pkwy. Turn left on Vista Blvd. Follow till you see FW on the right. A ten min. drive. Cab?! Bus travel, not sure of the best route. POFQ to MK then bus to FW? Maybe someone knows a better way? Time on the bus much longer than by car...30 minutes minimum to do the changes, I'm guessing!

I think the bus is the best route for you, then. The worst part of riding the bus is it's possible the bus will go right past FW on it's way to drop you at MK! So frustrating(could you let us off right here please, Mr. Busdriver?!!)

Are you going to FW for the HDDR? We went in June and had a blast!! We were going to take a bus from resort to MK and then catch the boat to FW but decided just to call a cab because we were told to allow 1 to 1 1/2 hrs to travel. The cab cost about $15 but took only about 15min. Once you get there you have to take the resort bus to the restaurant. Transportation is provided back to your resort after the show. Have fun!!

You could:
1) take a cab, then a bus w/in FW (probably the best option)

2) bus to any theme park, bus to FW, then bus w/in FW

3) boat to Downtown Disney, bus to FW, then bus w/in FW

4) bus to MK and boat to FW

Yes we are going to HDDR. We just made reservations today. I didn't think that they would have any slots open but we got lucky.

This is only true for the last show of the night. If it's one of the two earlier shows, you have to find your own way back, such as getting to MK or even DTD and then transfering to a bus to your resort. There will not be buses waiting for you inside FWC to take back to your resort, except after the LAST show of the night.

Really?? I love all the corny jokes and the food is good too. I've only been to the luau once, that was enough. Poor service, bad food and so-so show.
