This question may have been answered before but I can't find it:

When taking the ME what resorts does the bus stop at and in what order. We stayed at OKW in september 07 and the ME bus route went:
OKW
SSR
POFQ
POR
If I remember correctly. Is this still the same or have things changed?
There's no pre-set grouping of resorts. And there's no pre-set order of drop-offs. The 4 you mentioned above are all in the same zone, and are in a very logical order, so it may be a very common occurrence.

However, any resort can be grouped with any other at any given time. In other words, if you stayed at OKW every month in 2009, it might make the exact same trip you made 8 times, but the other 4 times it might make 4 very different trips.

We're staying at POR, from 19th August for two weeks.

I certainly hope to meet up with some online forum folks during my stay, and given the amount of fellow Brits (mostly from another board) who are staying at the same time, I think I could probably just throw a feather in the air in the food court and it would, as likely as not, land on one. :)

Cool.. so you have free dining for a portion of yoru stay then?? maybe we will run into one another.. I know we'll be in the Pool at FQ.. my DD just LOVES the slide there.

I have a couple questions:
1) Am I going to like FQ if I love Pop Century?
2) How is FQ at Christmas? (I'm going 12/28-1/4)
3) How does the bus stop work? I notice in the pictures that there is no que area.
Thanks.

I just wanted to post a little comment from my sister and her family. My sister, her husband and 8 yr old grandson stayed at POFQ for 4 days from 6/8-6/12. They were 1st timers to WDW. So they did not know what to expect at all. They loved it! Everything was clean and pristine(also the parks). The housekeeper did a wonderful job. Loved the pool area. Now they have a little bit more understanding why I love WDW so much. They did make a 1st timers mistake one evening coming back from MK. There were two buses in line to drop people off at POFQ. They were on the second bus. Instead of getting off they thought the bus driver was going to pull up a bit. Well he didn't and proceeded to go to Riverside. Well my sister panic. Instead of just getting off at Riverside and walking back(which I did inform her before the trip they were sister resorts) they told the bus driver they missed their stop. He told them he is not going back(He was the only cast member which didn't have a magical personality). He told them to get off and wait for a DTD bus which might take them back. Of course I wonder why he didn't tell them it wasn't far to walk and there was a pathway. Anyways lucky enough a DTD bus pull up soon after and the bus driver was a lot nicer(He noticed their first time visitor buttons). He dropped them back off at the POFQ because they were the only ones on the bus. But my sister did have a sense of humor about it anyways. Yes I explained to her the bus driver didn't drop them off on a dark corner in NYC, it is Disney. They really had a fun time and couldn't believe how nice the Disney resorts are. They had great experiences in the parks too.

Oh yea I forgot! I did tell her if any DISers were on the bus with you that evening they would of helped you get back to POFQ:goodvibes

I really can only answer the last one. Yes there are no queues at the bus stop. Not a real big deal. You just board the bus. Generally everyone there is not waiting for the same park.

Hi guys! Now that my trip is getting closer, I was just wondering how you can tell a fellow dis'er when you get there???

Yes you will like it. It has a wonderful feel. If you have been to New Orleans or Louisianna it has a similar look.

It is great at Christmas. We were there in 2006 for Christmas. They do decorations around the resort.

Bus stop is very easy. They pick you up first so we never had to stand. Wait until it comes..form line..get on.

Look for LGMH (lime green mickey heads). You can get them at Home Depot. Most people put their user name on them. I bought the big Mickey head punch awhile back and used some lime green scrapbook paper and red letters. I then took a paper plate and some puzzle pieces (I bought one at a dollar store that had a forest scene) and used only the green pieces. After I clued the puzzles pieces to the plate, I made 3 levels, I put the Mickey heads on top. I attached some magnets to the back.

okay, so people put these mickey heads on their doors outside their rooms?

There are lots of different things to do with LGMH's....I used one as an ID tag for DS...I wrote our cell number on it in case he got lost, laminated it, punched a hole in it and attached it to his belt loop. I also had one attached to the zipper of our backpack and I saw some rooms with them stuck in the windows.

What type of entertainment is there here? Does the cool piano guy from Riverside come to the French Quarter to preform too?

Yehaa Bob only plays at Riverside, but the lounge bar at FQ has its own nighttime entertainment from Elliot Dyson (Weds-Sat). There's a bit more on both of these in the Live Entertainment info section at http://www.portorleans.org?sub_rec_services.htm
