Cool! Thanks for the info :thumbsup2 :cool1:

How deep is the pool? When we stayed at AKL, we were so disappointed in the shallow pool. In the middle of summer the shallow pool warmed up so much it felt like we were wading in the air! We're trying POFQ for the first time this August and are hoping for a cool, refreshing swim in the afternoon.

It seems to me that the deepest point marked on the side of the pool was 4'11". I'm 5'3" so it was deep enough for me. Taller people might think it is too shallow though. The pool is more of a "paddle around and socialize" pool than one you can actually swim in, if you want to swim more than just a few strokes. If you prefer to swim laps, it looks like there could be a few quiet pools at Port Orelans Riverside where you could do that.

We were there in early October when the temps during day reached the mid- to upper-80s. The pool was always refreshing in the evenings.

It's not real deep. Most Disney pools are not.

The pictures on Page 36 really are some of the best I've seen of the resort :) Made me really excited!

Thanks for telling us about Page 36. Great pics! One question though -- In the picture of the walkway to the hot tub, there is a noose hanging. Why? Or is something else that just looks like a noose to me?

That's just the rope they use to close the hot tub at night so that you won't use it during off hours.

LOL! No I didn't take a close up pixs of some of those ugly heads. They look kind of scary. Maybe I should next time!

Again... I apologize for bumping my pixs. I got frustrated last night because I couldn't locate my pixs and when I finally got to page... what 27 or 30 somewhere around there... I just went ahead and bumped it up so I can easily find it again! So sorry... I won't bump it again. I just got impatient last night. Forgive me my POFQ fans! :jester:

I just found your pictures. There are GREAT!!! Your children are beautiful and the photo shots made me wish we could be there "right now". Thanks much for sharing.

HI everyone,

We'll be going to POFQ in August with DD9. I have a question about the slide, that through researching and reading I can't find, :confused3 so hopefully you will be able to. After seeing pictures of the slide, my DD wants to know if getting to the slide she will have to go through the head in darkness. IS the entrance to the slide enclosed? I see the slide is open, but it appears that the rest is enclosed. DD9 has aspergers, adhd, sensory problems.... and is deeply afraid of the dark. I purposely booked this hotel for the slides because she is getting older and I thought the value pools although fun for her, might not be as much fun as a moderate pool with a slide. I might have to rethink if this slide wil be a problem for us. Thankyou for your time!:goodvibes

The photo is coming out smaller than I wanted, but I hope you can still see the answer to your question. The exact spot where the child stands at the top of the slide is covered, but it is NOT a tunnel. You can see the reflected sunshine immediately behind the spot where the child stands to begin sliding.

I hope this answers your question.
