This thread is soooooo awesome and helpful! We will bet at POFQ Jul. 22-29 and can't wait...all of these details have been really hepful.:woohoo:

RangerFan, the pool at FQ is great and you can use the pool at Riverside too! We love the FQ pool. It is large and has a cool shape, and the area around it is nicely landscaped with trees and millions of chairs and tables. The pool bar is close and even the food court is pretty close, so you can eat outside easily. My kids LOVE the dragon slide. It is a slow slide, more geared toward littler kids (and chicken Moms like me) but it looks VERY cool... You slide out of his "mouth" when you hit the water... The middle of the dragon's body goes up over the middle of the pool like a bridge, and so you can swim under there or hang out in the shade if you like. My husband actually gets in this pool for just that reason -- he burns easily and seeks shade everywhere at WDW. Overall the whole pool area is very fun and festive, and the BEST thing is that FQ is so small that no matter WHERE your room is, you will only be a few minutes away tops.

We have always enjoyed our FQ stays. Have fun!

I'm so excited; we'll be at POFQ for the very first time tomorrow. Just had to say that the pp we've talked to on the phone there are super nice. We just called to confirm our reservations and room requests, and we asked them if we could buy a PalMickey in advance for our kids. They said it will be waiting at the front desk for them with a card that says, 'To Tyler, Chloe and Anna. Welcome to Disney World. Love, Mickey Mouse.' We can't wait!

I will be at POFQ in July. I am avidly reading anything I can find on the resort. Planning is half the fun of a trip to WDW! :surfweb:

here's a silly question ( I asked on my other thread but got no answer )

have you ever seen adults go on the slide ? or will pooh sized moms for instance get "stuck" hahahaha that would be embarrassing!!:rolleyes1

I went on it and so did the other 3 adults in our group. I don't think you can get stuck on it-I'm pretty pooh sized and don't remember being worried about that.

Hi All
From UK , we are visiting POFQ 13th Oct-26th  Now here is my strange question my DD (23) has fibro myalgia and is a v light sleeper and I snore ( oh how embarassing):rotfl: We have booked a package with a UK travel company that includes one room. I was thinking that I might try and book a extra room directly with WDW and try to get a connecting room, do you think this will be v difficult and confusing ?:headache:

Thanks

Viv x

I've been on the slide at both POFQ and at POR. You definitely won't get stuck; you may feel a little silly though. I thought it was great fun!!!

Someone in our family snores and my husband used to complain until he began wearing earplugs to bed. They must work pretty well cuz I only sleep 18 inches away from his head...I mean the person who snores REALLY REALLY loudly is pretty close to him...;)

Foam type ear plugs that form to your ear.

HTH.

I agree with the ear plugs. There are medications that can help her sleep, isn't she on one? I too have fibromyalgia and take amitriptalene.

I just read on a website that POFQ has camera rental. Does anyone know anything about this?? Thanks!

Uh, I would be that one DH to my darling wife. You can buy the ear plugs by the box at walmart somewhere in the pharmacy aisle. They're 32 decibel blocking. I've even used them at the firing range. Just make sure you put them in correctly. They take about a week or 2 to get used to them, but once they're in a plane can land on your head(or the equivalent of you sister-in-law sleeping over), and you won't hear it.

Hey it's the me emoticon: :happytv: and I use this one at work when asked to do something by management: (You want me do to what?):lmao:

Have fun at POFQ!!!

Hi All
Do you guys know if there is a retractable clothes line in the rooms at POFQ ?

Thx
