Not sure where exactly you read that the boats start running at night, but that's just not so.
Click on this photo for a larger image, so you can read the sign.

It says it right on the first page of this post...guess it should be updated :confused3

What kind of transportation options are available?
The main type of transportation that is available is the bus. The bus will take you to all 4 major Disney parks and water parks. To get to Downtown Disney, a wonderful boat ride down the Sassagoula River is available at night. All transportation is shared with Port Orleans Riverside. To get to POR, you can walk, take the shuttle boat, or shuttle bus.

Yup, needs to be updated!:)

Does POFQ have someone to bring your bags to and fro your room, or one of those luggage carts you can use? I'll be traveling solo with my DD3 and will definitely need help with my luggage...

Bell Services are right at the front of the hotel, just drop your bags off there and they will bring them to your room once you've checked in.

Well, after almost two years of planning I have finally made up my mind and thanks to you all, I have decided on POFQ. Whew! I just called reservations and officially booked and even got the king bed I wanted! Yippee...let the countdown begin. MNSSHP, here I come !:moped:

Okay, now that I've made it official, I'd like to ask about the king rooms. Does anyone have a picture of the inside of a king room? Where are they located? What kinds of views are there? Could you have a king room with a water view? Are any of them corner rooms? Anything you could share would be awesome! I can hardly contain my excitement! :hyper:

1. Pictures, I have them but am technically challenged....so forever on a disc they will remain...you may want to try search here (ha, ha) or google it

2. Location, they are located throughout the resort. All floors, all buildings.

3. Views, again everything from parking lot to River

4. Waterview, yes

5. They are all corner rooms I believe, and have 2 windows.

Oh and kymom99...yes they all have hairdryers

HTH.
Jean

Awesome! Hair dryers take up so much room in luggage! One less thing to worry about!

Just a heads up...I will be posting a trip report and photos from my family's trip to POFQ at the end of the week on the Disney Report. Stay tuned.

Anyone going to be a POFQ mid to late(ish) September that would be willing to send my DD a postcard announcing our mother/daughter MNSSHP trip?

We are arriving at POFQ on Friday, October 3 and I would love for her to get a postcard WITH THE PINK DRAGON SLIDE on it (that's the whole reason I booked this resort...she saw it on one of the travel channels shows and I already had a girls tripped planned but switched from Pop to POFQ...all for a slide :)

Anywho, if someone has a September trip planned and would be willing to send DD a postcard, please PM me.

I'm willing to return the favor when we are there :)

Thanks!!

As said earlier, Bell Services will be glad to assist with your luggage, but they will not let you take one of the luggage carts if you want to get your luggage to your room without their help.;)

Does anyone know if the slide lets you out in deeper water? My son cannot swim and won't go down if he thinks he is going to go under. He will do the slide near the wave pool at typhoon lagoon but nothing else so far.

Depending how tall your son is, he may be over his head. I think it is only 3.5 feet. We went last year when my son was 4 years old and he hates going under water but still went down the slide a million times. I just stood at the end of the slide and caught him. He loved it.

The water at the slide is pretty deep. I'm 5'1" and it comes up to about my chest there. If he's feeling brave enough you might be able to catch him at the bottom. Otherwise, I'd say it's difficult to go down and not go under.

Can anyone tell me how far a walk it is from FQ over to Riverside. I have dd who is 6 and ds who is 13 and would like to maybe eat at Riverside. Will it be too much on little legs. Thanks
