Good news - the days of the "cattle call" are in the past. Now when you check in (preferrably on-line 24 hours in advance) you will get a letter and # assigned to you, which is the order you will board the plane. But you can still pick any seat you want. It is much better if you ask me.
I knew about getting the letter grouping but the number grouping is new to me. I'm of the old school days when you got to the gate and then sat as close to the boarding area as possible so that when they called your letter you could clothesline people to get as close as possible to the front of the line.
Awww...you had a moment. Like when I went to Costco and bought fat-free frozen yogurt twist and pretended it was a Dole Whip. Aren't those pretend Diseny moments the best? Well, not actually the best, because being in Disney would be the best...but...oh carp...you get the idea.
Totally get you.
I mean really, get your priorities in order! Spa & Lapu Lapu Fest. What better way to start your vacation than with pretty toes and totally sloshed?
Well, really I can only think of a couple more items that would make that sentence perfect:
1. rich
2. Captain Jack Sparrow
YEAH!! YOU'RE GOING TO DISNEYWORLD!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously, thanks so much for the heads-up on the SW rates. It was sheer curiosity from your post that led me there.
Though, I have to admit reading about your procuring your flight made me do this

because I still haven't booked. We all know how OCD I am and it makes me absolutely nutso that I haven't booked flight yet.
I wouldn't worry too much. I have to say that for both the Boston and Providence markets, the flights have been hovering between $99 and $150 each way. That's not too bad and is, for the most part, pretty normal for my past flights, though pre-gas-costs-$42-per-gallon-times, I was usually able to get a SW deal out of Providence for $49-69 each way.
Ahh, the good old days.
I have to say that the best deal on airfare I ever got was to Cali. My friend and I went to LA in August of 2002, when the travel industry was scraping the post-9/11 dredges. We booked direct flights from Providence to LAX with a 'Friends Fly Free' deal for $200 RT for BOTH of us. Yes, that means we each paid $100 to fly RT to Cali. Amazing. And likely, extinct in these times.
I love the new suitcase and congrats on the flight!
Thanks! I looked at that suitcase in a whole new light last night when I got home, knowing it now had a "reserved" spot to go to Disney.
I have to pace myself -- otherwise, everything would be completely packed tonight, and I would be forced to sit on my suitcases and tap my foot for the next 226 hours (yes, I did just figure out how many hours before I leave

).
Hurray for the awesome flight!!!
NINE DAYS for you! Could you pack, like, one suitcase per day? You know, just to keep temptation at bay?
And totally hooray for the awesome flight! It was the exact times I was looking for and everything!
We used to have one of those at our outlet mall, but they closed up.
I guess my family was the only one buying their goodies...
My weakness was the chocolate covered marshmallows. Mmmmm...
Mmmm. I snagged one of these for myself not too long ago. De-lish! I don't know if any of it travels well, but I'd be happy to pick something up for you and send it on.
Congrats on your new luggage, and more importantly, your airline tickets!!! Now it seems even more official!
You're right. It does!
