THANKSGIVING 2008- Whos going and where are you eating?

We, party of 8, are thinking of Biergarten for Thanksgiving. Our ADR date isn't until Tuesday. Also, thinking of Chef Mickey's, or Akershus for breakfast. Any opinions?

Akersus for breakfast is awesome. WWe just made adr's for 11/23 :thumbsup2

Thats sounds like a great idea for those leaving on Thanksgiving day.:)

We went to Boma last Thanksgiving day (2007). We couldn't really enjoy it too much. We ended up waiting over an hour after our ADR time. And then once we got in there my daughter said her tummy hurt.Ugh! The waitress was nice enough to let her pack those little pumpkin tarts in a cup for later. Need less to say we hope this years Thanksgiving day morning is better!

P.S. I made our ADR Sat. Got everything I asked for. I just need to be doing something Disney everyday.

Boma for dinner Thanksgiving evening. Lunch will be somewhere in AK. Made ADR's this morning, got everything we wanted pretty much at the time we wanted.

Not sure where we are going to go this year, but we have eaten at The Crystal Palace the last two years and really enjoyed it.

So I had booked garden grille but then I remembered my DH saying he didn't really need traditional TG so I booked LeCellier at 8 - No problem. Plus the kids can get soup as an appetizer. Guess who'll get to try the cheese soup? LOL I'm having too much fun with this.

Making ADR's tomorrow...
Hollywood & Vine Fantasmic dining package...My kids say that "It's tradition and there's no where else they want to go!" ;)

Just made my ressies saturday...Our first Turkey day in Disney will be spent with the kiddies off on the Pirate cruise while hubby and I enjoy a quiet b fast at Grand Floridian Cafe....Then a family dinner at Narcosses....I can't wait!!

I am going to make my ADRs tomorrow. We are seriously thinking of eating at the Hoop Dee Doo for Thanksgiving night.

We did reserve Hoop Dee Doo for Thanksgiving. We also booked Le Cellier, Coral Reef, Chef Mickey's, Sci-Fi and Ohanas for the rest of our trip.

Have you booked the Pirate Cruise yet? I had thought about that for Thanksgiving but didn't know if they'd have it. I've never heard of anything closing at WDW for a holiday though, come to think of it.

My 180 day was tomorrow but I called tonight - couldn't get LTT for Thanksgiving dinner so we're doing Garden Grill at 5p

Great thread. Im new here. I think we are gonna do the Spirit of Aloha also. I tried to make the reservations this am but they said my property was not Disney owned (Doubletree Walt Disney World:confused3 ) so she would let me make them. Although I had already made breakfast reservations at CRT earlier in the day thank goodness for Wednesday for my DD 5th birthday, I am so excited about that.:cool1:

I tried as well, no such luck for me! I guess that 5:55 am phone call has my name all over it!

I can call on Wed, we decided to go with Kona for breakfast and do DTD and disneyquest for the day as to avoid the parks so we picked Raglan Road for Dinner, has anyone ever gone there on Thanksgiving? I read on all ears that they have traditional holiday dinners but also the regular menu is available.
and the plan for the friday after is AK, I heard that Fri can be really busy too, im thinking AK might not be too busy. Guess we will find out!

I called tonight around 8p totally expecting the CM to tell me to call back tomorrow. Today was day 181 according to "my disney vacation" screen at disneyworld.com ... guess I lucked out. Try again and maybe you'll get someone else

We are going to Boma's on Thanksgiving at 6:00pm. I had a 5:20 and changed it to 6:00 - I sure hope we don't have an hour wait!

My 180 ADR's were Saturday morning and I kept waking up all night worried. I was up at 6:00 cst and made all our ressies. Only a few were not that great times - LeCellier at 4:10 and Fantasmic Pkg - Mama Melrose's at 3:40. Oh well, I'm happy we got them. We're doing Ohanas on Monday.:goodvibes
