THANKSGIVING 2008- Whos going and where are you eating?

We are having dinner @ Boma at AKL. We have never eaten here, so I hope it will be great! Last year according to All Ears, it looks like they had some of their regular items along with some holiday offerings.

You don't have to be staying at a Disney owned resort to make reservations. That's crazy. I live in Orlando and always make reservations even though I'm not staying at a resort. Who ever you talked to didn't know what they were talking about. You can make any reservations for any Disney restaurant, regardless where you are staying. You need to call them back.

Great thread. Im new here. I think we are gonna do the Spirit of Aloha also. I tried to make the reservations this am but they said my property was not Disney owned (Doubletree Walt Disney World:confused3 ) so she would let me make them. Although I had already made breakfast reservations at CRT earlier in the day thank goodness for Wednesday for my DD 5th birthday, I am so excited about that.:cool1:

maybe this is due to the 180 plus 10? my guess is maybe the OP tried to make an ADR before the 180.
I made mine yesterday....now just waiting for those hours to come out to see how well I did LOL

Made my ressies this am and got everything I wanted plus all the right times!!(Within 15 min. or so)

We're doing T-day at WCC, at 6:30. I hope the wait is not too awful but if it is, I'm still eating at Disney!!

Have you heard bad things about WCC Thanksgiving dinner?
We have our ADR for there. Now I am nervous.:worried:

bump. I think today is a mark day ( to make ADR) for people going to stay at WDW for Wed. 26? The day before Thanksgiving. Is that correct?

Yep, today is that day...and my 180 day mark, finally! So, even without Nov. hours posted, I made my ADRs this morning. They are:

1) Kona Cafe for Thanksgiving dinner, 11/27 @ 6:05pm

2) Crystal Palace, b-fast, 12/2 @ 10:05am

3) 'Ohana, dinner, 12/5 @ 6:30pm

Just what we wanted, at the times we wanted. Woohoo! :cool1:
Good Luck to everyone making ADRs! :goodvibes

Slight anxiety here - was able to book for T-day today, even though we are staying at the Dolphin. She gave me a confirmation number and everything. Do they boot the 'illegals' at the end of the day?

Wednesday 11/26 - Kona - Just DH and I!
Thursday 11/ 27 - Cape May Cafe
Saturday 11/29 - Tusker House

So excited I got to go early, but also slightly nervous. Anyone else have this experience?

we're doing 1900 Park Fare for dinner at 5:30 on Thanksgiving. DDs are doing Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique in the morning, then going to the Mad Hatter Tea Party in the afternoon. Can't wait!

:cool1: just booked our dinner at The Brown Derby. They are having a traditional thanksgiving meal and you can order off the menu.. works out great for us as we are celebrating ds's 7th bday at MGM. I just need to order his cake closer to our trip. I also was able to get a ADR in Epcot for Teppayan .. we are all set..

We are doing Thanksgiving dinner at Jiko!

Yum =)

We are eating at Trial's End. I tried to get 1900 Park Fare but they were all booked. Has anyone eaten at Trial's End for Thanksgiving? I would love to have any comments.

I haven't, but if you go to the Trip Reports board, look for the one by mom2mek, her large group of 16 people had dinner at Trail's End on Thanksgiving last year.

We are not fans of the traditional Thanksgiving meal at WDW, so we always pick a buffet. That way, most of the regular items are offered along with traditional Thanksgiving items that we can skip. This year it will be Boma for our dinner.
