Thanksgiving 2007!!!

We are currently in 6630 for next year, the same cabin we had last year, and wished we had this year. But that Florida resident's special was very good, and Lisa is still hoping for an upgrade on saturday...my packing comments..still in progreess...are on the other thread.

Priscilla- We most definitely will need to be linked. No, I don't have a room assignment yet, I still need to book this dang cruise (after Thanksgiving, I think I will).

Are ya'll on Deck 2 again?

TCD

Yes we are. 2574.

Last year, John, Julia and their kids had adjoining cabins next door to us, and Trey and Tonya had the room next door to them. The last night, all of us (adults) stood in the hallway and visited for at least 30 minutes or more. We were all really getting to know one another, and I remember thinking 'darn, we need to be able to continue this visit, I hope we can all sail together again. :guilty: ' (Are you reading this John, Julia, Trey and Tonya? Who else here is booked for a Cat 9? Let's all book rooms close together, and continue the party! :thumbsup2 )

Priscilla

(The location was great. No noise, but still only a few steps away from the elevators.) :)

Sorry guys, I have been away from my post this morning. Work really can interfere with your DIS time! Weather report from Central Fla. as of noon: Blue skies and 63 degrees. A little cool for cruising, but perfect for camping.

Are you heading to the campgrounds tomorrow? Have a "Hoop de Doo" good time! And eat some of those great ribs for me!

I will be coaching a soccer game tomorrow, then watching Hayley play HS basketball. She was on the local news last night hitting a couple of baskets in the tournament they are in. She got to drive my pu to school today. First time. So she thinks she is big stuff.

Thnx Willie - we will enjoy. this will be my last post until we are on board. i will try to post in both threads. am leaving the office soon to head up to the port.

Oh and andrew, having "camped' at fort wilderness ourselves, does this mean renting one of the fully loaded cabins, bringing a fancy RV or actually using a tent?...we of course rented one of those rustic "cabins".

Chuck- Do you realize where you will be 24 hours from now? You lucky dog!

I will be camping in my redneck RV (pop-up camper). I'll post some photos when I get back.

Saw on the other thread that you had to delay packing to watch Survivor. Hey, we have something else in common (besides DCL). Last night's show was pretty good.

Have a great cruise!

Yes, we are heading out in the am tomorrow. Heading East just like last year, only we are stopping at WDW instead of heading on to Port Canaveral.

I probably will not have access to the internet next week, so don't worry about me if you don't hear from me for a week. I'll be back. This will give the rest of you slouchers a chance to get your post numbers shaped up.

If I do luck out and get a site and the magic equipment to go on line, I'm thinking about a live from Ft. Wilderness thread. I'll let you all know if I do that- the camping boards are very slow and quiet.

In case I don't make it back on-line today or before Thanksgiving, you all have a great Turkey Day. I am hoping that next year, we will all be together to enjoy it together sailing aboard the Magic!

Lampy should be posting snow pics soon with "lake effects". Whatever the heck that is.

Like Jimmy Buffett sings "You always take the weather with you.."

Lake effect snopw in the forecast for tonight.....then a "heatwave" Wednesday....50 degrees! :rotfl2:

OK Fellow Turkeys, here is a serious request for info (I thought I needed to clarify that given the nature of my posts). :rotfl2:

I booked our first cruise (on the Wonder) by calling DCL. I was clueless, and took what they offered. I booked our second cruise while on the Wonder for our first cruise.

I did not re-book while aboard the Magic last year. Can any of you veterans give me advice on who to call to book for next year. I think most of you posting on this thread re-booked on the Magic, but if any one has a good suggestion, please let me know.

I am going to have to book two cabins. On the first two cruises, we had connecting Cat. 9's. For this next cruise, I think I want to try what Willie and Lampy do (is it a Cat. 7 and an 11 across the hall?). So, what do you all suggest?

TCD

I call Disney direct....(Sorry Dreams Unlimited) 800-951-3532 they should have all your info in the system.....hot legs contest, pirate night dance off etc!!! LOL disney.com will allow you to check availability and prices.......

Uh, does this mean that you know longer have your 'girlfriend' to seat us together in the dining rooms? :sad2: Oh well, I too, still think it's better to book with Disney direct. I'll bet they could still book us all together. :teeth:

Yo! Willie, you are a bad dude, aren't you. You like my man G-Unit? J/K I go for the old school rap ala Vanilla Ice (my DD's are so proud of their old man). Anyone remember the Sugar Hill Gang (circa 1978 0r 1979 I believe). I asked my DD to download Rapper's Delight on to her computer for the old man. That is some rough stuff there.

TCD

RAPPERS DELIGHT? I have the "best of" CD in the vette....New York New York, big city of dreams....remember that? I believe "Bick house" is another....BTW TCD.....I know EVERY work to rappers delight....the long version......there was a remake I believe by arrow smith about 5 years ago and my DDs were AMAZED!!

Still in touch with my "girlfriend" she actually got a promotion.....seating assignments won't be a problem....and yes, it is more difficult (for me)to "link" if you use a travel agent!

TCD.....Now I usually get flamed when I post this on other threads but back in 02 when we were going to sail east with friends I booked thru DCL and our friends used at TA. We were to fly out on Thursday morning and I got a call from DCL at 5:30 Wed. to cancell us. They tried to call our friends TA and who works Wednesday at 6 p.m.before Thanksgiving.....they would have flown out had we not told them!

Hey lampie it is 'aero smith 'not arrow smith. I know you are from the older generation, maybe its time to pass on the bonjovi thing to someone a little younger

Rob

Speaking of which.............I started a "live from" thread for Chuck......Yep, that makes 3 years in a row for me!! LOL

Rob

I just thumped Rob on the head for that one.

Yeah, we're all feeling a little lonesome for the Magic today. I'm on my way to fight the crowds at the grocery stores now for Thanksgiving dinner. It WILL be good to have cornbread dressing and sweet potatoes at dinner this year (Rachel 's favorites) but if given the choice, I'd still opt for lobster and prime rib on the Magic! :Pinkbounc Not to mention, a luxury to be served and no dishes to clean! (Can't wait until next year!) :yay:
