The weather channel is being so laid back about this storm They are usually on the forefront of hype. The guy was just saying how it's really not a big storm, nor is it strong, and it's really just going to result in heavy rain throughout Florida on Tuesday and into Wednesday, then it's heading north.

Now I don't know what to think.

Our schools are closed tomorrow, mandatory evacuations for coastal areas and mobile homes, government offices closed.


Weather Channel is NOT to be trusted for accurate hurricane reporting. Their thing is entertainment and small storms are not entertaining. I recommend Bay News 9.

Here in FL, it's being taken very seriously, though. We've been lax in the past and regretted it - there's just no way of knowing how bad it might become, so we're prepping for the potential worst and hoping for the best!

Our weather here looks like a hurricane is off the coast. We have had dark, cloudy and rainy weather Saturday and today. It's supposed to be like this through Thursday.
I'm enjoying it, but it makes me sleepy. I'm trying to suck down some coffee so I won't go lay down.

But, whatever's good for me will not be good for inland areas. It's still not expected to be a big hurricane, but when they move inland, they spawn tornadoes, so that's a major concern.

I was watching The Weather Chanel, no Jim Cantore!, and supposedly the sustained wind isn't the problem, flooding is. Good or bad?

Beside, (cover your eyes, Mo) TE nor Waldo are even PACKED yet!

All they'll need is a raincoat.

Continental is allowing flight changes to MCO until Wednesday, this morning they didn't have Orlando listed then it was only until Tuesday at lunch time.

I need to get back to work so I can get out of here.
