ok just saw this on the DVC board

http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=26999349&postcount=80

some good news
The way things look I should be ok for a Wed AM arrival. I'm not going to sweat it though - I'll be there for the wet Wienerfest!:thumbsup2

I am however, worried about V, LL and Kate. The 3 of them are driving in and that scares the bejeezus outta me. :scared1: Sending them good mojo and lots of :pixiedust: Drive safely my friends!

Just checking in to see how the forecast is doing. It looks like the path of the storm is changed. Hope all is well with everyone. Faye does not know what she is messing with when she took on Focker Fest.

Just popping in fast whilst undergoing a last minute, pre-storm root coloring... I've got my priorities straight! :rotfl:

No one wants to say anything too official, since things can change quickly, but it looks like Fay will likely come ashore around Naples and cut diagonally across the state, much like Charley a few years ago. I may be out of the woods! Shifting my concern to Angela, though.

No worries about me - I WON'T drive if it's bad out. Kate, be careful!

As for LL... well, I wouldn't put it past her to grab a boat and row over to WDW. ;)

Be back tomorrow -

Janet, have a SAFE flight!!

OK Ladies...Jimmy is asleep, Andrew is too excited to sleep, Jim is doing last minute trash collection and I am doing a last minute baggalini check and I am off to bed.

To my feloow fockerfesters...I AM OUT OF HERE IN 9 hours and 24 minutes. I will text who I can when I land to let you know we arrived safely.

V, Angela, Kate stay safe. Pixie dust to LL driving from Vero. More pixie dust for thosef lying after me and I can't wait for Saturday:banana:   See you all then.

Everybody else bye and see you when I get back :wave2:

================

Got home from concert about 10 mins ago. SD had a pretty bad panic attack at the concert! Scared me and surprised me! :confused3 He totally hauled himself back from the ledge though and made it back to see the last 4 songs! I have never been so proud. :goodvibes He can do this. I know he can.

The concert was amazing. Rob and the boys still rock HARD!!! Glad the storm is taking a more positive path for our fockers. Now, lets just get Kate and LL safely in town and we're good....

CAN NOT wait to meet you guys!!!

MEL:banana:

Morning, all.

So for, it looks like I'm a "go" for FL! Grandpa's surgery went well - there may still be recovery issues, but for now things look good.

Southwest this morning says there "WILL" be delays into MCO today, :headache: nothing yet about tomorrow. I am awake to print my boarding passes. :thumbsup2 Sounds like tornadoes are becoming an area of concern, including, if I remember my FL geography from our possible move, around Vero. I hope LL is OK.
I did find ponchos last night. :rotfl2:

Back later!

Good news CE! LL should be fine in Vero - Disney knows what to do and will take every precaution necessary. :thumbsup2

As for me.....

WOOOO HOOOOO WE DODGED THE BULLET AGAIN!

Really, I don't know how long our luck over here in Tampa Bay can hold out. One day, we're going to get nailed, but at least it's not today! :)

Honestly, this now isn't a very big deal for FL. We have afternoon thunderstorms that pack 40+ MPH winds and spawn tornadoes, so it's pretty much business as usual. Leo and I were doing the happy dance after the 8am advisory...

... then Gramma came home from work. Little Miss Negativity blasts out with, "Well, we avoided a direct hit, but it's just going to linger and rain all over FL for days. Your trip's probably a wash out."

Thanks. Thanks a lot.

And...

WHATEVAH!! We're going to WDW with 40ish of our closest imaginary friends, so ppffft!!!!

Leo has school tomorrow, I'll work until 1pm, then we'll head over.

:yay: :yay: :yay: Morning V!

I'm glad all is well at your house. And bonus...a day off! :thumbsup2

I'm looking at that stupid map and trying to decide when we should leave. If it hooks to the left and goes to Georgia, I should wait until Thursday and drive straight through. But the temptation to get beyond it is always there. Oh well. Fact of the matter is I don't know if I'm ready to leave tomorrow night. The suitcases are out, but....:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: (for Leo).

Someone will hear from Janet, right? And did KC ever get on to let us know Kat got in okay?

Maybe she had a craving for peanut butter and the smell of Sharpies.

LOL, I was trying to figure out your best path this morning, too! But I'm still not quite awake enough and I couldn't get past the SC/GA border.

I was jsut wondering the same thing.

:lmao:

O.k. ladies. I have never dealt with hurricanes. I figured no problem with this storm as I am not coming in until Sun. Now I look and realize I am driving in from the north on Sat. and Sun. Will I have a lot of wind and rain to deal with on Sat going into Georgia? I am stopping for the day near Macon. I guess I never gave much thought to these storms causing weather problems so far inland.

I don't know about Kat, but Janet's supposed to text me when she's there. I'll be gone, but I will try to post if I hear from her.
