afternoon all!

wow sounds like it is crazy with all ya all! :teeth: I am just here in little nebraska with NO computer :guilty:

No seriously, hope the weather doesn't dampen anyones plans...it is sunny but cold here.

Anyway, hope you all have a great weekend!!!!

We had rain most of the morning, now the wind is howling like crazy and the clouds are rolling by at warp speed. I have the weather channel on and been watching the stuff about Chicago :crazy2: Hope Mrs. Bob gets home ok, I'll be thinking of her...breakfast with Santa sounds kewl for sure.

Oh Deena, so sorry about Connor and his ear...hope it heals up ok. I had a perforated eardrum via an accident, and mine actually bled some, but as you say, they usually heal. Only nasty cases require any sort of surgery I guess. Will be thinking of him also...poor baby :guilty: :grouphug:

Momma, how was school today? All the little ones listen to you? and were well behaved?

Pam, I think Santa needs to bring you a new computer... :goodvibes

KS, sorry you got a mangling today, hope you feel better too...geez, you don't go in hurting and then come out hurting, that sucks for sure. Rest and take it easy.

Ed is at the wonderful world I'm guessing...were they flying or driving?

3.5 hours of shoveling and i am now done.

my carpal tunnel is killing me.

keisha, this white stuff isn't going to melt.
we are dropping into the single digits at the end of the weekend.

chicago got nothing compared to what we did. got hit harder than they did.
15 miles west of us received 16 inches.

i really don't need that much...

mac - just think of the calories you burned & the workout, my arms would have fallen off the 1st 1/2 hour, impressive:thumbsup2

pam - hope you don't get any nasty weather.

mic - are you close enough to the DC area where they stay warmer than the surrounding areas (interesting phenom IMO, must be all that political hot air warming things up;) )

It's still 50 here, windy as heck; friends shingled roof blew all over the street. I've been dodging run away garbage cans on the streets all day. Still hope the bad weather skips us.

KS yes they still do tubes but only if you have a lot of ear infections. Connor only had one last year I think and 2 this year.

KS, we sometimes are a bit cooler where I am, cause we are more away from the city...plus sometimes they get storms that we don't or just the opposite...we sit nestled with some mountains around us, and they often times stop bad thunder storms from hitting us...if you have relatives in VA, you may have heard of Loudoun County, that is where Leesburg is, and they got LOTS of bad stuff that misses us. I'm with you though, it could very well be political hot air blowing around :teeth:

Sorry you have shoveled your **** off mac..yuck, keep the white stuff out your way.......still windy as the dickens here...temps have dropped a bit, but it was 78 degrees in the lobby at work today when the sun came out. I put the air conditioning on for a bit to cool it off..can you imagine on 12/1 doing that??

OK, off to watch some TV.........big day planned for myself tomorrow, power shopping at its finest :sunny: We'll see who wins first..me the power shopper or me the pooper-outter. I used to be able to go non-stop, but those days are far behind me.

Oh my, white stuff and all in Chi-town! It's only a matter of time until it gets to Tokyo NJ! We just had rain/t-storms and wind (not the good kind) tonight. My high school football team lost in their championship game tonight 14-9 after being up 9-0! That sucked!

KS...sorry to hear about your "discomfort". My DW absolutely hates to have those done. I thought I saw on the news yesterday that there will be a very less intrusive way to do mamograms in the very near future where the "squish" will go away. I hope that is true.

Mac, you should have called me....I have a very healthy 17 year old who absolutely loves to shovel snow :joker: ....after I have told him there will be no more video games until the sidewalks and driveway is cleared. :smokin:

Hope you all have a great night.

Morning all

Gant, so glad you dropped by...how's fighting crime going? Snow in Tokyo?? well we can send you some I'm sure...sunny here this a.m., but big change in temps, my furnace actually kicked on overnight, and I have the temp set way back also, so the house really got cool overnight. It is 37 degrees this morning compared to 67 at this time yesterday :sad2: Of course, cause I need to hit the road it has to be chilly...oh well, maybe I'll scurry around faster and get done!!

Have a good day my friends!

good morning sun lovers.......... :sunny:

i didn't go to curves yesterday or will today. my work out was yesterday.
i don't mind shoveling some, yesterday's work was the heart attack type of snowing. since i am stiill here today, guess i can do anything.

poor pam out in the boonies and no computer. hope hers gets well soon.

mexican son went to chi town last night at midnight on the metra train. stayed with his cop-per friend to visit. have to pick him up from our train station at noon today. that means he will again hog the computer. that is fine. at least i know where he is then.........

hope all are doing good here.
catch you later.

Hello all . Schools finally slowing down some. Well I should actually be there printing pictures now, but I'm procrastinating 'till Monday. Caught up on most of my other classes so I thought I'd stop in and say hi. How is everyone, tell me all the news other than what's on this page, I know I must have missed a lot ::yes::

Jules :wave2:

ju ju, you have been missed !!
glad you came over to see us.

the only thing i can say is i am not ready for Christmas.....
i'll yak more later, i have to get off so son can check his email.

where is the pic of the new baby????

Ah, not ready for Christmas?! I get that, mostly a money thing for me it's hard now that my hours have been cut back. New baby's not here yet, not due til January remember :), all though he's expected to come by the end of the month. So, the only pictures you could see now are scanned us pics. My sis did get some good 3d ones but I'd have to get them from her, and I have no scanner, not quite the same as real pics anyway ;).

Lucy, I'm home...Man, I did some power shopping today...hoping I got just about all I need from malls etc....and can I say, that even for someone who used to work at the mall, it was like a frickin' zoo for this far out from Christmas...people everywhere, lines....... :crazy2: people starting to be rude, can't find a place to park......yikes, I thought everyone was out last weekend.

Anyhoot, I'm beat, between Christmas shopping, getting groceries, stopping for gas, at the post office, doing Wal-Mart and finding something for the Christmas party at work and the concert (which meant trying on clothes :p ) I got a lot done, but I'm tired. Eating some grub and I'm going to finish putting stuff away and call it a night.....

Hey Jules, welcome......let's see, Readers Digest version...mac & Deena went to WDW in Oct., met each other and also TVT got to meet mac...Momma has had some issues at home, but she is working on them getting her life straight...Bob is fine, except for the ocassional sick little one and his wife was on a road trip this week and may have had trouble getting home with the snow...TVT had a birthday..KS is gearing up for son's wedding, plus her little guy was sick, she also did WDW, and OH, can't forget Officer Jeremy :teeth: and the fact she is a grand-fur-mommy. :teeth: Gant is still busy fighting crime, his football team crashed last night...mac is shovelling snow yet again, Pam got a new dishwasher, but she has had sick little's also, Aubrey has surgery on her eye soon, AND her computer is dead and at the hospital...Ed is at the world of wonder and me, I had my family in for Thanksgiving, got to spoil the big kids and little kids...and I cried all last Sunday cause they went home :guilty: That should fill you in on what's been going on.....did I miss anyone? Glad to hear school is going well...my son took a couple finals and will be finishing up first semester right before Christmas. He did sign up for classes after the first of the year...so that is a good thing. He started a new job also and is making a nice salary...and OHHHHHHHHHHHHH...his car got hit by a tree fallling on it while he was driving...totalled it, so he has new wheels now......

:wave2:

mic - sounds like a soap opera:rotfl: , you should get a job writing cliff notes. DH drug me out to shop today, I'm such a picky thing, got 2 purses & a gold Micky Mouse charm
wink.gif

miz -

a bambino after the hoidays
sunny.gif

mac - always good to know where the boys are!

deena - hope connor's feeling a mite better today

pam - marooned w/o the computer, sucks.

gant - thanks, glad it's over for yet another year, small price to pay for piece of mind.

Speaking of Officer Jeremy, he came home w/a new car this afternoon (something he & his dear old dad cooked up). Nice ride, Mitsubishi Eclipse, loaded, looks a mite fast. Sez he can handle the payments & insurance, meanwhile back @ the ranch, I'm paying the insurance on his old heap. guess time will tell, wonder if his pop will pony up some dough if he comes up short. Ever think no-one in your family listens to you lol.

He's finally supposed to take the final certification test & get on the patrol schedule the end of the month, small government sure does move slow.

wow! That is a lot of info! I love how you even added things like Pam's new dishwasher :teeth: . Very sad about all the sick little one's :( hope everyone's getting better. Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving, and sorry you were sad :(. How was everyone else's Holiday? Whoa!?! Where's the falling trees come from, how'd that happen?

Yep KS ~ baby's due on the 13th of January. Can't wait but now really really hoping he'll come earlier since I'm scheduled to leave on the 14th, and either way will be missing the first 4 1/2 to 5 months of his life. I'd like to spend some time with him before I leave, but he's not going to know me when I come home anyway :(.

I'm in a perpetual state of confusion...

miz - Where you going, back to school? As for him not knowing his mommie, the bond between you will be so strong, it'll overcome anything.:wizard:

Whoa! He He not his mommy, his aunt ;). Oh my I'd never leave my own baby for this. I'm doing the disney cp in the Spring. My niece possibly forgetting me and him maybe being afraid of me are the only things that almost make me not want to go, if they were my own kids I wouldn't be. Not a mommy yet, not even close :). Well I guess I could be but right about now that would probably require a visit to a certain type of "bank" :p

told you i so confused :rotfl: .

sure sound like an aunt I'd like to have:thumbsup2

luv DH to pieces but, think i might have considered the "bank" too after the ex & all that entailed, if we'd never met.

best wishes.

wow ju ju, you are going to wear mouse ears....congrats!!

do you know where your placement will be?

gee, now i have to make a trip to the motherland so i can see you in person.

it has been busy for me the last 3 days.
besides my troubles of shoveling i have been trying to make arrangements for my parents.
on thursday the st louis and illinois side across the might miss were hit by an ice storm.
my parents are elderly, my mom lives in a wheelchair, lost all power thursday. a neighbor's tree fell on their house and the tree by the alley where my folks garage is also fell. it blocked them from getting out.

readers digest version, after no heat/power since then, i have got them moved to a shelter run by the red cross. they got in at 2ish today and now have someplace to stay. my dad is a heart patient and can't handle the cold so i was afraid of hypothermia happening.

i could not get them a motel as most of that area does not have power and what does already booked up. i didn't have anyway to get them out unless i drove down there. our storm cancelled that.

anyhoot, they are now safe for the night received food and got their meds.
my mom said it's like the cots they slept on when she was in the air force.
both parents were in the military in the 40's, i had a modern mom....

once i get thru most of this week, i have to go down there and help with the acessment of their home. right now i am hoping they do not have trouble with their pipes freezing. if they do, it happens and i 'll deal with it when i get there.

all is fine with the world now. the folks got a ride to the shelter and the red cross are taking care of them for the night. i put in for them to stay sunday night also as their temps could reach 15 tomorrow night.

i'm cooking dinner now. late but no one cares tonight what time they eat.
they didn't want peanut butter and jelly sandwiches so they are being patient.
