Morning all!

I decided to take the day off today as I had a temp. of almost 103 degrees yesterday. I woke up feeling kind of yuck, but thought it would go away. Went to my aunts and ended up coming home early. Going to the dr. today at 2:30 as i think it may be strep throat. I think I am taking Noah with me because he has be complaining about his foot hurting!

LOL KS. My older sons didnt say anything about the baskets ahead of time but they sure scurried down quickly yesterday to snag their baskets.

KS, I know what you are saying with your ds's...mine are the same way....in fact, my son at home said "don't worry with a basket this year"...as he is watching his weight and working out, so I took him to his word, but did get him a DVD...and of course there was candy in the house, but I felt really bad about not getting it out and fixing it..LOL...tradition is hard to break I guess....but I know you have good kiddoes....all of us on here do Yes, my oldest always reminds me of "what he would like for my birthday or Christmas".... He usually starts the conversation with, "ya know what I would like for my birthday" or "what were you thinking of getting me for my birthday"....he knows how to work Mom....because he is still my baby, always and forever..........

Pam, oh MY...you can't be sick...get your butt to the Dr. and get better quick!!!!!!!!! I'm sorry you are feeling so yucky....

Just found out one of the guys in our office lost his mother over the weekend...guess she is elderly and has had health issues, but this was rather sudden...so sad

Thanks all! Sadly we are to busy to be having any fun. I have spent a fun filled day grocery shopping and trying to get my oldest out of bed so we can go check out housing at the University he is going to next year.

okay, it is official....i have strep throat!!!! YUCK!!! Good thing is that i got it on monday and not on friday!!!

I have to take tomorrow off too so it will be a 3 day work week for me!

Morning everyone!

I did have a productive day yesterday! I'm trying to meet this deadline for the MH. We may be pushing it back 3 days. With my mom coming tomorrow - part of Saturday, I just may not have time to get everything done in time.

Poor Pam, strep throat & all that chocolate to eat - how ever will she do it?LOL Careful w/that antibiotic they dole out...it will interfere w/effectiveness of certain other meds you might be on (ya' know, the girl ones some people take each month

).

We got home from DS's baseball scrimmage game last night after 9:30 p.m....going to be a looooong season.

Happy anniversary - lucky #7 . Is your DS the 1st to leave the nest, my boys didn't live on-campus during college years (although they do disappear over to their Dad's house periodically). Funny, I actually sold ex his new house when I was the site agent for development a few blocks from my house...all one big happy family

micky4ver - don't think you can ever be prepared for death, even when it's the very elderly/sick; always a profound loss. Know it's part of the cycle of life but, always imagined it'd be especially difficult during a holiday period.

KS my oldest just started baseball, I had to convince his coach that he was more comfortable swinging lefty. He thought he didnt look comfortable that way, my son said it felt more natural swinging lefty and thats the way he we practice at home.

Not much happening this morning, phones are quite busy, but overall quiet in the office...

Sun is shining, like Adam said, a little chilly, but supposed to be a mild day...then showers by week's end...and depending on WHAT weather forecaster you listen to, we have a range of mid 60's to around 80 for the weekend.........SOOOOOO...guess we'll just stick our nose's out the door on Saturday morning and dress accordingly...

KS, I remember those long baseball evenings........but they all are pretty good memories. My grandson is a lefty, but I'm not sure if he bats left also...hmmm....gotta think on that one....he just got into little league, playing t-ball...
