Yes Mic its very hot here. They even had some rolling black outs in parts of Houston yesterday (luckily not mine!) because the KW was much higher than it normally is this time of year. Its dang hot here already. I can assure you Im not ready for a $500 or $600 electric bill

Apparenly my anniversary is not really a good day. Davids uncle died yesterday and a second cousin of mine died. We werent really all that close as she lived in California for most of her life and I only saw her a few times but sad none the less.

It is a good thing that dave has the week off this week! He got the kids up for me and got them to school so I could sleep in! Wasn't that nice of him?!?! My fever is gone but, my throat still really hurts as i can barely swallow. Dave asked me if i thought it was the mumps as there has been like 20 cases in nebraska and not to far from us. I don't think it is though because i would think the doctor would have said something about it if it were.

Really don't know why some little league coaches feel the need to try & pigeon-hole batters...let them pick for themselves. Always wonder about credentials.

Feeling old, DS's bb coach is a "kid" I used to babysit , you know you're getting old when...

Coach takes his bb very seriously. Earned a bb scholarship & played in the minors for a few years before hanging it up....really wants to win. DS's team (bad news bears ) upset them in the playoffs last year for the 1st time ever. Don't think coach will let it happen again this year though.

Last week had practice 5 nights, 3 or 4 scrimmages scheduled so far this week. Good thing I actually do like sitting & watching the games. A perfect excuse to do absolutely nothing.

I'll throw in a "Go Buc'os" for the Pirates. If McClatchey would open up the purse strings, we might actually have a chance of playing 500 ball. We do have the All-Star game this year. Wait 'till you see our ball-park.

KS I have seen pics of the new ballpark, it looks very nice.

Glad they started making ballparks again and stopped trying to use football stadiums as ballparks.

Yes, we got a new football stadium too for the Champions - Pittsburgh Steelers middle DS got to play on the field (WPIAL football championship game...yep, we won!).

Even the Pirates' cheap seats have wonderful sight lines & you can't beat the view of downtown & the river. Wait till you see the pierogi races .

I am actually starting to feel a little better now...my throat still hurts but i did mange to do laundry, go out to dave's moms, and take aubrey to dance so far today!

Now i have to clean my house because it is declared a disaster area due to the fact that i did not care....i will pay for it later as i am running around with my head cut off trying to make it okay for the kids to be here tomorrow!

Ok....IT'S ON....we all have the cards on the table...it's gonna be a baseball blitz from now on......... The guy at work who is a Yanks fan that I've been going back and forth with is leaving next week for another job........so I won't have him tormenting me all season but I will miss him, he was my lunch buddy....

Well, guess it's time to settle down...been doing laundry....not but 2 evenings left before we hit the road............... and I don't want to come back Sunday to a 10 loads of clothes.............gosh, I have no clue when I'll pack.........I want to run home Friday before heading down the road....oh, it will all come together I'm sure and I'll be ready to go

yep, she was awful and Ace followed close behind her....it will be hard to see who gets the bottom 3 tomorrow, as most of them pretty much nailed the songs.........and I have to say, that Rod Stewart's little baby was adorable!!!
Wow, he has adult kids (maybe even grandkids??) and has a baby...I think each wife/girlfriend he has gets younger.....
