test Part 10

Morning and a good one to everyone...chilly and rather dark here....not supposed to be real warm today, although our cold is not what mac's cold is...

Well, the first resolution must start today...NO MORE EATTING junk....when I put my work pants on  they are yelling at me 'quit forcing the zipper'... I got rid of a lot of the holiday junk food hanging around so that is a start....eek....I just ate too much over the holiday plus I was 'over' my good weight to begin with.......grrr...today will be hard because I've gotten into the habit of snacking, but NO MO

I did throw some stuff out that was hanging around in the basement with the trash today, so my getting organized is a little bit underway, but I have a LONG way to go to be cleaned up and fit

I ordered this last night, thinking I really need something to burn some calories and I just can't get out and walk like I would like...so hopefully this will help me some. I don't have room to store anything big and I really don't want to spend the $$ to join a gym, so maybe this will help, I figure it can't hurt and it folds up for storage :rotfl2:

Well, back to the real world...have a good one and see youse all later

Morning all!

It has been a crazy morning so far. All my kids are starting to trickle back...it's a full load again:sad1: I was kinda getting use to only having 2-6 kids.

It is starting time for me today as well. I always need to lose weight so that is my #1 this year.....AGAIN. My #2 is to be more organized and to keep a better house in '08.

I am thinking of taking a week off when dave has to work and the kids have school so I can go room to room and clean and organize. I figure I could probably get the whole house done in 5 days...maybe the only one I wouldn't get done is the storage room. If I do that it probabaly won't be until March or April though.

It seems like a Monday here....i guess that is good because it will feel like a very short week:rolleyes:

Have a good day everyone!

morning! 2 hour skool delay here, moreso cold than snow

mic - impressive, yet intimidating piece of equipment --you go girl!

tomorrow - down will come the Xmas tree & back will go the treadmill in the place of honor...all the better to laff @ me as i sit on couch w/bag of chips.;)

no more "i'm going to do it tomorrow"; today or never:thumbsup2

gave up resolutions years ago, think it has something to do with Catholic hard-wiring...already heaped with guilt; why add more for failure to keep other promises:rotfl:

Evening all......another day at the asylum......yikes, I hate the day after a long weekend or whatever, people are so nasty. Had a message on our answering system, "well, if this is how you conduct business".....because we were closed on Monday......whatever....how strange that they were off from their job/work also  guess no one else is supposed to have a day off work......

It is COLD here today with very blustery winds blowing, making it seem even colder then it is......brrrr....

I did pretty good today with no candy or anything sweet...detox day I guess, so tomorrow has to be better......LOL KS, I know what you mean about 'looking' at anything that resembles excercise ;) equipment, but I'm hoping I can peddle away on that contraption while watching a TV show and the time will go quick.......we'll see.

Ok, need to go get under the covers, I'm cold......we are being fruggle with our heat also, oil is so high and I don't want my budget payment to explode, it has gone up like $100 per month in 2 yrs. :headache: and I can't take it going any higher. Pretty soon, it won't pay to work, I see where gas went back up around here to over $3 a gallon and our state sales tax is going up 1% tomorrow...never ending:sad2:

evening all!

it is cold here too mic...although it is suppose to be around 50 here on sunday:cool1: i'm thinking maybe i can get a few things done outside....maybe:rolleyes:

My tummy bug is back tonight. Dave took the kids to the fitness center and we were going to go and play raquet ball until it struck.:sad2: hope it doesn't last long.

Hey Mac I'm finally here to take my test. Man has this thing been going on a long time!

I'm BACK!! Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years . Colder than blue blazes here this morning. Wind chill of 21 degrees!!! :scared1:

Spent the day with a friends son at Epcot yesterday and thought I was gonna freeze to death. Sure will be glad when Saturday gets here and winter will be over!!

Good morning........and do I hear someone complaining about the cold?? IN FLORIDA....hmmmmmmm....;) :goodvibes It is 15 degrees here this morning, not as cold as some of you, but cold nontheless

Off to work, at least it's Thursday, every week should be 3 days, or what the heck, I'd spring for 4:upsidedow

Pam, feel better.......see you guys later.....have a good day

Morning Test peeps..

It's cold here too, but it is going to be back into the 60's by this weekend, so I only have to deal with this a few more days. I got my house painted green and my room painted a really pretty blue/purple color. My room is gorgeous..the kitchen/family room is all painted that same green color. Great for the kitchen, but a little overkill on the green for the family room. They are all open, so we are going to try one other color. I have to get paint samples in the next few days and paint the walls to see which matches the best with the bright green.

The kids are all back at school today and it's quiet here:thumbsup2 Sam goes back tomorrow.

I'm not sure when my first day back at the gym is going to be. I would like to start back tomorrow, but we will see. I just need a routine, I usually get my butt to the gym if I have the set days. I only work Mondays at the preschool now, so it should be easier.

Hope everyone stays warm.

Pam - hope you are feeling better

TVT - sorry you froze your butt off babysitting for your friend

Mic - You did better than I did with the no junk. I am proud of you. I love the new machine. I agree just walking isnt going to cut it.

Keisha - I agree about the whole Catholic thing. My giving up things for lent stopped when I told my mom I was giving up giving up things for lent. I eat the meat on Fridays and I eat on Ash Wednesday...well, if I happen to be eating that day. I never felt closer to God starving myself. If I am going to go hungry..it's to get thin. Completely vain.. and I guess I grew out of the whole guilt thing, because I don't feel the least bit bad about any of that.;)

Welcome Loribell - yes we are going on 4 years on this thread. The key to being a part of the group is to read and post everyday. You may be a little lost at first, but if you keep up..you'll get it.

Hi Mac - are you really taking pills to keep your mood up? Which ones are you taking? I took St Johns Wart for a week and my boss told me to stay away from those because I was way too happy all week. She said that she would fire me for being too happy if I took those again.

Ed - did you ever answer me about the Wii?

Keisha - you have a Wii...what games are good? I am trying to get Sonic/Mario Olymipics but any recommendations would be great!

Bob - our kids are pretty much the same age also., well, Cam and Nico. Do you have a Wii or do your kids play video games on any system?

Morning all!

Tony--sounds cold there...must be pay back for making fun of all of us who have to live with winter:rolleyes: Hope it warms up for you soon. glad you're back...did you have a good christmas?

mic--the bike sounds like a good idea. If i quit doing daycare i would get a tredmill and put it in the toyroom. Right now i just don't have any extra room for one though. Good job on detoxing yesterday:thumbsup2

mac--when do you start back at work?

ocm--your bedroom sounds very pretty. I don't know what color of green you painted but a warm red seems to go pretty well. My sister has a yellow/golden, red, and green all in her open spaces and they all look good with each other.

ks--is your ds's basketball almost over? I think trent has a couple of weeks left and then we can move onto the next sport.

Hope everyone has a good day today.

morning all & big shout out to Lori:thumbsup2 she's good folk:) if you're lucky they'll let you skip the test;) sure would be nice not to be the jr member of the firm lol

mac - u @ work already? if so, prepare to come home & put the hat back on...lori's ready to roll.:teacher:

mic - didn't mean to discourage you, once i haul my butt onto the treadmill & slap on my ipod it's actually sanctuary from the chaos around me:laughing: ; since i haven't touched it (other than to drape coats on it since the tree went up & we had to stick it in the corner of DR) for over a month i figure i'll have to go slow & steady if we ever do decide to take the tree down - tomorrow 'fer sure once DH is home.

hi tony, missed the morning shoutouts:surfweb: ; do we get a trip report?jk

pam - sorry the bug has flared up again, geez - will it never stop for you?

ocm - for the wii, think it's great to get the kids up off their butts too. funny thing is there were very few games when it was issued last year until the summer then out they came:banana: . His favs are Zelda, Super Mario Galaxy, Simpsons, Guitar Hero III, Harry Potter, Pokemon & Spiderman III . There is a nunchuk/remote contraption they call a cross bow trainer (looks to be more like a gun) that they sell with a mini target game you can buy for $20. Even i can play it. Believe it was originally designed for the Zelda game yet wasn't used. Assume it'll come into play on future games. He received fantastic 4 rise of silver surfer, from his brother-has yet to get into it. Make sure to look for sales (esp. Circuit City that i price match @ Best Buy since it's closer;) to me; was able to pick up a few of the above titles before Xmas under $20).

The much anticipated Mario Racing & Super Bros Smash Brawl has been delayed several times, had it preordered for Xmas; supposed to be out "soon" lol...figure def. before Easter.

He just rented Lego Star Wars the Complete Saga & thought it great, although he beat it in a few days. Also has rented the SIMS before

lastly...ta-dah:cheer2: check out my siggie...we're going to Disneyland:yay: aka mecca

Sweetlovin' - Thanks for the welcome. I will try to check in daily to keep up.

So your boss said she would fire you because you were too happy????

Janet - Thanks for the kind words. You are such a pal! So I am now the junior member huh?

Have a great day everyone!

You have to take the test before you can become the OFFICIAL junior member. Now, who has the test?!?!? I know, the test could be to go back and read the thread from page one and tell us something about each one of us:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I'm kidding!! That would take you FOREVER!!!

Actually, the real test will be to keep us all straight.;)

sounds like a fun time. You will have to fill us in about disneyland. Dave and I thought about taking the kids there but we haven't yet. I think this will be our last trip to WDW for awhile as the kids are getting older and there are so many places they want to go.

Hey all :)

Sorry I've been absent a long time -- been busy with the holidays and all. Cam's still off from school. He goes back Monday. I offered to also watch a neighborhood buddy of his today, so he's here as well.

Can't stay long -- off to tae kwon do soon.

OCM -- Cam got the Wii for his birthday this past Sept. He also got a Nintendo DS for Christmas from Santa. His favorite games for Wii right now are Super Mario Galaxy (Christmas present) and Wii Sports and Wii Play. We also just picked up Big Brain Academy today.

One other update -- it looks like I'll be heading back to my old company on a part-time basis. I just talked to an old boss of mine and she has a good flexible opportunity that should match up with my skills well. :)

I don't know if I answered you about the Wii?

But the boys... heck we all enjoy it. We made Mii charaters and we all like bowling together, I've had fun playing the Lego Star Wars with the boys. They also have Guitar Hero III, Mario Galaxy and Ratatoulli (sp).

How you all doing? Its wicked cold here but at least it is only for today going into this weekend its going to the 40's.

I love my Wii Character. :thumbsup2

Bob I wasnt too sure about the Wii Play (although I was looking for it just to get the extra remote as well.) I heard it wasn't as good as the Wii Sports, but Im glad to know its good for their age. I guess I will have to get Mario Galaxy and Lego Wars. Sounds like those are good.

We all love bowling, tennis and I like playing Lee in baseball. But we only have the backyard football and Julie just got the princess game. I am going to get the Olympic game tonight or tomorrow and I will have to keep checking deals for the others.

Thanks for your help all of you!

One other question..are any of you networked with other Wii people? My mom got one, so I am going to try (next time I get up that way) to help her set up her network and my two BILs are. Have any of you used that yet?

Nico has Arena football tryouts this weekend. I was enjoy the break from the running to different sports. That ends the week Soccer starts but two weeks after soccer practice starts. My spring is looking very busy.

Okay since I know mac & Janet then I think I will fail that test. There is no keeping them straight!;)

Co-conspirator sounds good to me.

We are all about the meat too. Will be grilling steaks tonight.
