test Part 10

oooh, a newbie:banana: don't ask me about the test, i used an old Space Mt. fastpass to sneak in...:rotfl:

mic - you are a young soul, any lad would be thrilled to have you as his grammie:thumbsup2 i know people who were old before they turned 30. I have no idea what sort of squash it was, did the mw method, flipped it, threw on some butter, cin., nutmeg & dash of salt - it was okay. Today DH calls me out to back yard...must be 8 "acorn" squash staring @ me.:scared: Think i'll go savory this time & try to stuff them with ground meat & tomato sauce...will search for rec. & let you know.

pam- i tackled DS & made him try on jeans yesterday too:lmao: ; inspired after reading your post. He only fits into 2 pair (including the pair of levis i bought @ Kmart - ha!). Said he plans on wearing all windpants anyway (of course, the ones he likes are far more expensive).

tvt - why am i surprised? Glad ocm had you to lead her into the light:) , next thing we know you'll drag her off to NASA so cool imo! did a behind the scenes tour, loved it. Other than a few overnight trips, have never been anywhere w/o one of my kids; not sure why - the thought sorta scares me? sure it'd grow on me though.;)

ed - i've got lots of left-over cheesecake and cupcakes

i am done cleaning for the day!! I decided to takle aubreys room too since i let a daycare kid play in there with her and she decided to clear off her bookshelf and stuff it in her closet:mad: found barbies and polly pockets mixed together and stuff thrown under her bed. Needless to say she will NOT be going in aubreys room at nap time NO MORE!!

Have a good night everyone!

Oh and for the newbie....your test will really come tomorrow when our teacher gets here!:thumbsup2

Sorry, I had to wait until I got the chance to speak with my boss.

Anyways, I have made a request to go to a part-time (20 hours a week) schedule. We've made the decision that instead of hiring a nanny, that I am going to stay home with Ryan a couple days a week and have him go to preschool 3 days a week, part-time (until 1pm) if possible. If they accept my part-time proposal, we may have him stay until 4 or 4:30, depending on my work hours, but if my offer is not feasible with the company, I will be resigning and today will be my 2 week notice. :)

Wow Steve very cool, I stayed home with my boys for 6 mos. (not by my choice I was laid off) and wish I could have kept doing it, I had so much fun with them.

both boys needed them. Noah wears his out before he outgrows his...little turkey is always on the move. Aubrey didn't need new ones so she just got some shoes that aren't flip flops that she can wear with her skirts she insist on wearing.

bob - what a wonderful opportunity for you, most guys never get that chance.

pam - do you shop & sears & do the kids guarantee program? don't think it covers shoes though lol.

Oh, that is great news Bob...if you are happy about it,I am happy for you..keep us posted

Oh my gosh, less than 1/2 hr. to go thankfully.....what a day.....every day seems to get busier and busier....

Remodel is about done upstairs...we are waiting for the hand-milled desks, then of course granite will need to be cut for desktops, tables etc....phone lines are in, but then phones will need to be placed and of course computers. The brunt of the work is done, constructing rooms, walls etc...carpet, paint, wiring, a/c all that stuff...I'm figuring perhaps by Sept. we will be moved. We are not going up til it is totally ready, no rush to get up there before it is totally operational. I need to get on the phone and start pricing new copiers, fax machine etc....I'm gonna be a busy girl. When it is complete, I'll take some pics to share...it is quite nice.

Well, my boss has now talked to his boss and the two of them need to speak with the woman whom I formally report to (don't ask -- it's a complicated and stupid reporting structure).

So far I haven't heard that my proposal has been shot down yet, so I'm still hopeful that this might work, but we'll see. Hopefully tomorrow I'll know more. One way or another, by the end of next week, I'll be home at least a couple days a week. :)
