are you still on that picture????:confused3 ;) I think I have said before that he is NOT my favorite yankee, but he is a stud for breaking 500. Hope he is where barry is now in a few years so barry won't have the record for long. (sorry keisha)

I think I have figured out why i have had a headache and kinda grumpy today. I have had no pop since wed. night.:thumbsup2 I am going to try to quit.

i don't get it (blonde moment); funny pic though.:thumbsup2 i hear flats are in for fall

out to dinner @ Longhorn Steakhouse, can you say medium rare...mooooo:cloud9:

Simpsons movie, better than i thought it would be, several Disney references...in the cabin & on the train (don't want to spoil - wicked funny)

working on my standard - absolut & hawaiian punch, while DH kills some Coors...years ago we'd be out bar-hopping...think i like this better.:)
do i know how to stretch out a birthday or what:banana:

keisha, party all weekend.
your birthday only comes once a year.
enjoy it all!!

don't know if i will be around to post much this weekend.

i'll catch you all later

Morning all!

Looks like i am the first one here again today....let's NOT start making a habbit out of this!!:sad2:

We are off to Lincoln to do some school shopping, hair cuts, and to pick up Aubrey's new glasses(hope she wears these pairs)
I want to hit the new super target that just opened in lincoln too:cool1:

Have a good saturday everyone!

Hiya everyone......just getting to check in....had to rush around to get out of house with my doggie....slept a little later than I should have...isn't that always the way??;)

KS, the baseball pic is from the play-offs the year the SOX WON THE WORLD SERIES...you would have to be a fan, or have watched the games to "get" the funny.....we'll forgive you:hug:  we know it's hard not being a fan of either of these teams...;) but you heard Bob, he is gonna break his own rule on his OWN thread and talk Yankees........and I must say I have cussed not only the sox today but those damn O's also  today better bode better!!

Dropped dog off, stopped at Wal-Mart, stopped at a favorite card/gift shop I rarely get in and poked around leisurely, bought a few birthday cards. Hallmark has the cutest little Halloween stand-up house that you hang little ornaments in the window/door areas, they have not only regular thingys, but cute set of Disney and if you like Peanuts, a set of those also. Had it in my hand and thought I DO NOT NEED ANYMORE HALLOWEEN things nor do I need to spend the $$...really cute though....then stopped at grocery store and went to tan...now waiting til it's time to go pick my best little buddy up...he will be so purdy :flower3:

KS, any hangovers today from the week-long birthday celebration(s)?? :woohoo: Glad you enjoyed the movie. DS/GF went to see Stardust and said it was very good. I'd like to see it myself, they said it was crowded, but of course that was Friday evening...movies are a good place to go that is cool when it's hot.

Will mosey by later......everytime Pam says going to Lincoln, all I think of is honest Abe and his log cabin.....:upsidedow

Mac, hope things work out for you

no hangover:banana: , might have to give it another whirl tonight;)

mac - crap, not more crap to deal with -sorry.

mic - might have to check out hallmark, i'm usually more of a $ store card buyer:guilty: some are cute

pam's crusing Lincoln, i always think of a bright shiny penny:) . drug ds to jppenny; walked out with nothing...guess he'll go nekkie. Not like my other 2 clothes horses:confused3

must admit not to follow professional baseball, hard to when barry left us:rotfl: even i am getting sick of the brouhaha & pirates stink.

Ran all day, today's mommies birthday...she's 77:scared1: . She asked for perch, acorn squash & cheesecake (thank you Sams). Now all i've got to do is figure out how to cook the squash.:rolleyes1 Then the chicken wings everyone else wants.

GO STEELERS!:cheer2:

thinking of running off to Kennywood tomorrow or next week, tix to use...not sure if i'm ready for coasters again...lol. The fries are tempting though - yum.

enjoy the weekend.

Okay, can you believe we just got home about 20 minutes ago??? what a long day of shopping. Got Aubrey's hairs cut...i have to say it looks pretty darn cute. She now has 2 pair of glasses, and a cool new outfit to start her new school career off.
The boys will also be spiffy. Got the rest of the school supplies but as we were walking out of walmart dave was talking to a guy he knew and i remembered......we forgot the freakin' kleenex's. Didn't feel like going back in so I will get them sometime before thursday because i am sure there is something else i probably forgot.

Stopped at the new super target and i have to say...i like it alot!! I will probably be going there quiet often;) So much better then walmart in my opinion.

Made a stop at menards to get some deck sealer so dave can do one of his honey do jobs while he is on vacation next week.:thumbsup2

ks--have a drink for me....god knows i need one after shopping all day with my family:rolleyes:

mic--how does that puppy look? i bet he smells so good.

mac--hope everything works out for you!

bob--how 'bout them yankees?!?!:thumbsup2

Guess it is time to hit the sheets....i want to get alot accomplished tomorrow.

I'd do the shout out but, it's sunday - day of rest.;)

we're off to church (summer break over lol).

pam - you did shop 'til you drop, hope you finished the back-to-school list.:thumbsup2 glad to hear i'm not the only one who has the old "honey-do" list for the better half.

later

marrying into money works too i hear;)

hope tony & ocm have tons of fun:banana:

We had a blast !!:cool1:  She's back home and her kids are back now too. It was really different doing Disney with her and without the kids....We both had a great time, but we both missed the kids being there too. It was HOT HOT HOT here....Water was the drink of the day..ALL DAY !

pam - you did tony proud. Speakin of, wonder if those two caught the shuttle rise?don't think i'll ever see a launch - nuts.

We did see the shuttle launch....she had never seen one before not even on TV... I think she was pretty amazed.....

Morning all!

ks--thanks for having our backs today:thumbsup2 I'm sure mac has them all too!

tony--glad you guys had a good time! You will have to fill us all in.

I think today we are just going to hang and clean. I have a short week this week as I am taking thurs. and friday off to see my kids off to school.

Hello and happy Sunday all......seems everyone is busy, getting kiddoes ready for school or just doing whatever...Pam, your shopping trip made me tired reading about it~~glad Aubrey and boys are looking their schoolyard best to start the new schoolyear...hardly seems possible it is to start up again...my gs started the last week or so of July...he seems happy and doing well...although he can't stop the yakking........that will follow him all the way through school I'm sure, he can talk the spots off a leopard!! :cutie:

It is getting hot yet again today...cooled off somewhat last night, but was still rather humid...went without a/c though, but not thinking that will happen tonight.

KS, what kind of squash did you get your momma? AND Happy 77th Birthday to her...awesome accomplishment to reach that grand age. If it is just yellow summer squash, I cut it and you can do it in the microwave with a little water, then butter and salt/pepper it to serve...OR, I bought these awesome Ziplock Steaming Bags they sell now....just cut it, pop in bag, microwave it and voila, it's cooked....again season with butter/salt/pepper. You can also fry it, not too keen on that or grill it on the grill, zap some olive oil on it and throw it on the grill, zucchini is good like that. In fact, we are having squash today, my friend gave me a bunch from her garden, so we need to eat it up. You cannot freeze squash well, it is so watery, so we really must eat it up. I take it for my lunch most everyday.

Not much else happening, been a lounge lizard today, not even out of my sleeping shorts and t-shirt yet...:upsidedow

Tony, sounds like you had a "hot" time....so nice to hear you guys enjoyed the visit. While it is nice to do things without the little ones at times, I still to this day miss mine being along...I'm always thinking how much one or the other would enjoy something we are doing

Off to watch the team to remain untalked about play ball....:thumbsup2 Cleveland should have showed up at their game yesterday  :rolleyes1

i'm taking a break!!!! We just clean, rearranged our furniture. Now I am on the kitchen but decided to go through the kids clothes and MAKE them try on their last years stuff to see how much winter stuff i will have to buy. Trent is sitting okay but noah is going to need all new stuff:confused3 It doesn't even seem like he has grown until he put on his last year jeans:rotfl2: he was ready for a flood.

mic--glad your dgs is doing good...will he be a 1st grader this year? One of my parents brought me some cantalope. I am not big on it but i will cut it up and hopefully someone will eat it.

ks--happy birthday to your mom!

going to go and get busy again i guess...the more i do now the better i guess.

Evening all....getting ready to settle down for the evening...here it is, almost Monday morning again............:sad2:

Pam, you are one busy gal this weekend....boys seem to have those growth spurts and needed new clothes...my boys always needed new sneaks, seems like those footsies never stopped growing...

My gs is a second grader this year! Does not seem possible. Seems he was just a little chubby baby running around...and the youngest is almost 3 1/2 yrs. old.......I'm getting old :sad1:

WOW!! second grade??? i must have missed a year:confused3 I can't believe the younger one is 3 1/2 already!!! I can remember him as a baby...time does fly by!!
