2nd band of storms down, 1 more to go in an hour. Last one was very scary - dark as night, constant thunder/lightening; weird storm noises; not sure how people in tornado alley sleep at night.

bob - lots of tornado activity out your way (Canton/Youngstown); hope they skipped you and break up before they get to our house.

We got lots of rain at work, and then this evening, we finally got some rain at my house.....hard to believe 10 miles can be such a difference in rain fall...area had severe thunderstorm watches, but seems to have passed over us, thankfully...although the rain was good for us, we are SO dry.

I brought home a pizza for dh as ds went to a friend's after work...so easy evening here also.

Trying to pull together a short stint at maybe VA Beach in Sept....but timing and prices have to fit.........we need a little break from the ordinary.

Oh, it cooled off a tad here, still humid as heck.....

Just kidding Bob, I know you love your Indians too...I will go read that thread when I have a little time, even though I could care less 'bout them other teams I was rather happy to see Clemens got suspended, he is on my evil list lately...some team is coming to Charm City tonight

Had some rain during the night, sun is out and it is still humid, although not as hot.......we sure have had a stretch of the nasty stuff. Because I'm taking the doggie to the groomer tomorrow, it most likely will pick that time to rain

What is everyone up to this weekend? I'm still going in search of a few days at the beach

Hey, there's more than enough threads (including this one ) where too many people are talking about the Sox and Yanks -- I'm just trying to even the playing field.

Then again, with the Indians playing the Yanks this weekend, I'll have to sort of break my own rules on my own thread.

Weekend plans? Poker tournament tonight, visiting friends (ones with a pool ) tomorrow and no plans right now for Sunday.

this weekend will be a little of everything.
so much to do. trying to clean the junk out of the basement.
that job has been going on for me almost a year now.
i lose interest in it after spending hours on it...

morning - we survived the onslaught, they say we got hit worse than when hurricane ivan soaked us...glad we bought a house on one of the highest peaks in the co.

when i actively sold real estate, couples tended to gravitate to the charming cottages nestled near our many creeks in the area. they'd innocently ask "how high does the creek rise?" My stock reply, I can't say, ask the homeowner...while i thought: see those 10 foot banks around it...add on another 10 feet in the yard and probably in your basement.

pam - you did tony proud. Speakin of, wonder if those two caught the shuttle rise?don't think i'll ever see a launch - nuts.

ed - everytime i see your pics i'm off surfing expedia, dreaming.

mac - hire a dumpster we have twice, my mom's a pack rat

mic - sounds very cool, i've never been to VA beach; DH was stationed in Norfolk for awhile - liked the area; hope it pulls together for you! Do you have the SAMS club code for choice hotels? pm me if you need it, works wonders.

will have to check out bob's thread, i've been busy defending barry's honor on the CB
