Good morning...hotter than you know what here too...supposed to be 101 today and the darn humidity is AWFUL already this morning....icky poo-poo, take me to fall>>>>>>>>>

Very quiet in here this morning, they are getting ready to put the carpet down, so desks, cabinets etc. will be next, it is moving right along! Very spiffy, cause the owner is all about the "look"...

GANT, breakfast this morning!! Didn't realize how much I missed it til I saw it sitting there! I agree, play hookey on Friday, you deserve it. Are you going to OC this year with the family?

Momma, have fun at the gym.......kick some butt....

Bob, sorry the little one has ear issues, my husband get's swimmers ear and he moans when he has it, so I can imagine what it is like for a little one...hope he feels better. Oh, that story bout the bike is too cute, kids say the funniest things

Mac, hope ds's are all feeling better....Ed, I told you, up off those knees

Pam, my toe is doing good, decided to wear a dressy-er flip flop today without a bandaide so it can get some air and heal better, and I clunked it getting in the car ....it had to happen ya know tad swollen and teeny bit of black and blue, but overall, I think it looks good, just still sore and limited on what shoes I can wear right now..hopefully it will lose the tenderness soon though...

KS. What a great and detailed trip report. Sounds like you and your family had a blast. I couldn't see any of your pictures though. It's probably because I'm at work behind a firewall that may not allow the site your pictures are hosted on. I'll have to check when I get home. Nice job.

gant - thanks, had my arm twisted last year and finally wrote my 1st one...now, i'm hooked.

I printed that one out & found it to be a nice reference/jog to my fading memory lol, helped with planning the next one.

hope i didn't get too long-winded - it's a curse.

KS, very nice trip report, I need to go back again and look at it, I was reading it at work and of course I kept getting interrupted Sounds like overall the trip was great...minor bumps in the road, but a nice time all the same. So glad you had fun.

bob--noah has swimmers ear too. he says it was very painful. The dr. told me to wait a day for him to swim again, but not let him swim all day. His ear is feeling better now but the dr. put him on amoxil also since his throat glands were swollen and had a low grade fever.

mic--sounds like your office will be done before we know it. I bet you all will be glad when it is finished.

mac--ummm....do you have a note???? think you have been awal!!!!

got back from the hospital at 8:20 this morning. will get the test results back soon i think. and back tomorrow with another son. this makes 4 days in a row doing the medical thing. just part of my life.

swimmers ear bob? that is painful. didn't your son complain or cry? he must be able to tolerate a lot of pain. i sure hope he feels better soon.

went to 2 doctors yesterday and didn't get back home until around 5.
i guess i could have signed in at 7:30 yesterday morning before i left the house......but i am here now

He did complain and whine some -- that's how we knew something was wrong. When a 2 year old says his ear hurts, you have to assume he's hurting quite a bit.

oh bob, i'm so sorry the little guy has the ear trouble.

he should have some relief once he is on the medicine for a couple of days.

it is really painful for a child to have ear trouble.

you should buy him a ne toy so he will be distracted from the pain and discomfort.



i always did that and still have 2 toy boxes full of cheap junk.
yea, we had a lot of ear infections with the boys.

morning! i slept in, and enjoyed it so.

mic - it's a bit of a tome . Did they ever get the construction done @ work?

mac - i like the last choice - ha. Don't know how those other DISers managed to run around with their hair down. If i lived in such extreme temp, i'd have a very short 'do.

pam & bob - eek, sorry to hear; no fun to have earaches. Do you do the swim-ear/alcohol bit; seemed to help my boys. Middle son went the tubes, don't think it made any difference.

gant - nice spread, i had a square of a hershey bar.

Today's my oldest baby's birthday (go rats!)...he's 27.

Younger two want to go to the movies, not Harry Potter (DH clamoring for that this weekend once the 4-12's are over) Transformers...more than meets the eye .

Happy Birthday to KS son! woohoo.....27, he is just a tad younger than my oldest son, so we KNOW we both were but babes when they were born well you maybe, but not me, I decided to wait a few years to start my family

They are laying carpet upstairs today...desks, cabinets etc. are next, then the granite tops will be the last thing to go in. Telephone/computer/tv wiring is just about finished...it's a wonder what can be done in a short amount of time when you have a whole construction crew working at once. Be nice if it was like that at home

Tomorrow Morning I am leaving for Washington. My plan is to wake the kids up at 2am and spend the night at my aunts house an hour south of DC. Then the next day off to visit my SIL (the one whose wedding I am skipping out on) and my neice. Then I'll go to my other aunts for dinner then to my moms house for a while. I think I am going to be back on Tuesday..but you know how they get once I am there, they don't want me to leave.

I hope you all have a great week. Mic - my cell is the same, but I dont have yours since Samantha dropped the phone in my bathtub. Give me a call anytime and I will try to get up your way to see you.
