test Part 10

pam - great choices, never have seen POR;) ; did you select the New Orleans mansion area (trundle bed?) or the Bayou (both look great)! Believe you can catch a boat to DTD from there? embarrassed to admit we've never eaten @ WC - it's always a rollicking place when we walk by:thumbsup2 . Coral reef (figure out an "occasion" and call & ask for a dive banner - DS luved it) and you get a window seat. It has edged out LeCellier in our book, both are top notch!

.

We are staying at the Bayou with the trundle. I have one more to book and not sure where to go. We will be going to a water park ( that means i have to wear a swimsuit) and will do a ts that evening. I don't want to waste a park day just to eat so I am trying to figure out which resort we would like to go to. Any suggestions??? Thought about DTD but don't know if the kids will like some of those things there. BTW, a boat does go to dtd from POR.

Mic-- you have had alot of test:hug:

Mac--i hope you get sleep tonight!

ed--hey stranger. Sounds like your household is going to have a great x-mas!! I thought I would pick a wii up if i found one but I haven't seen one yet. I think we are getting the kids a new computer instead.

I need to get in gear with the secret santa...I need to know who is all in for sure. So far we have: Mic, Mac, KS, OCM...did gant say he was in? I will be pm'ing the people I'm not sure I got a yes from yet.

Hey Ed....glad you scored big on the Santa list......:cool1: sure makes ya feel good

Years ago, we stayed at POR when it was called Dixie Landings...we were quite a distance from the main building, but it was a nice stroll...have done breakfast at WC and we sat away from all the hub-bub...we have observed the carry on though when staying there and they appear to have fun. Pam, did you mention O'Hana's? There should be stuff there that would suit all tastes, and they have fun stuff for the kids during the meal.

Ok, Helio and Julienne rocked their freestyle...the others were so-so...and I'm sick of Marie telling everyone she is a big time doll designer...guess it's all the QVC-ites keeping her in each week......LOL

Night friends, mac, hope you sleep well...I woke up a lot last night for some reason, so I hope I sleep sound all night.

No, I didn't mention O'hana's, but I was thinking about that one.

I watched it tonight too. I thought they did the best out of all of them. I didn't quite understand Marie's dance:eek: who cares that she is a doll designer...her dance was awful!!

Pam I just got back from the POR. Stayed in the Mansions, if you have any questions let me know.

glad to see you back here ed.
hope your trip was great!

pam, ohana is really good for the family.
you might like it.
it took me about 14 trips to disney before i tried that place and now love it there.

dtd is good for earls. it's cheap eating and great food.

if you do a water park in the day, do one of the resort ts for the evening.
i didn't care for WCC very much, horrible service, food just okay.
check out the menu for ohana.

can't sleep.
going to try again

Morning friends......

Is our resident alarm clock not functioning? Did someone pick him up and throw him across the room? or is it the fact he had a milestone birthday ;) and can't ring as loud anymore

ha - someone hit the snooze button once too often;) jk, i can hear my internal clock ticking very loudly.

ed - :woohoo: don't u luv it when the kids ask for cool toys? Stood in line for the Wii last year:thumbsup2 ordered a gun of sorts (link's crossbow?) that hold the nancuk & other controller; comes with a mini training game for $20 from Best Buy. Figured the youngest one needed something under the tree besides my "gently used" controller. He is stil so excited about getting it - go figure. Dell has finally consented to my "build" supposed to be here Wednesday. Monitor still in limbo:)

pam - i was sooo tired after the WP (typhoon lagoon is beyond fantastic:banana: ); we went to DTD that evening. Tried to get into Capt Jacks w/o ressies NOT; settled for Planet Hollywood. We've eaten there a few times, i think it's decent (especially on the DP as to amount of food they throw @ you). Certainly better than any Hard Rock i've eaten at, the steaks are good as are the dinner salads & the kiddos think it's :cool1: . If off site, right outside the DTD gates is a good steak place (if you turn right - slightly past where I-4 crosses over - cannot remember the name:confused: .

off to retrieve my cap from the dentist, cannot wait to see how much that bill will run.

Morning all!

I just got off the phone and ended up booking o'hana's for us on that monday...got my fist pick of times too:cool1: I booked 1900 park fare or whatever for my friend to do breakfast on the sat. we leave and got their first time too.

My kids love typhoon lagoon. I am thinking about suprising them with the surfing lessons. We saw that the last time we were there and they thought that would be pretty cool.
We have been to blizzard beach too. I don't know if it was because aubrey was so little (she was under 2) or if it is because it is bigger than TL but I actually preferred TL over BB. I did ask the kids where they wanted to go and they all said TL. Trent likes the idea of "swimming with the sharks"

mic--our alarm clock has been broken for some time hasn't it? We have been living in the dark too...we haven't had a rise for a long time.

mac--did you get any sleep last night?

KS--I'm not planning on renting a car...this trip is going to be a car-free trip which we have never ever done before. Hopefully we don't regret it, but i figured since dave drives so many miles (he has put 40,000 miles on his car since feb) that we would try to live without a car for a week.

ed--is POR really spread out? I am thinking about trying to request building 38 in AB. I know that it is pretty far from the main buildings but i figured we are only eating there once and we would be close to the pool and bus stop. Noah wants to go over to the french quarters and go swimming in their pool too...he says it looks cool.

morning all.

i think our alarm clocker is on strike.
such a shame as he did it so well.......

pam congrats......you are going to have the bestest vacation ever!

keisha, 4 more sleeps or bottles of beer on that wall for ya'
at least you will have your teeth to wear on your vacay

I was in the Acadian House blg 80, all the way over facing the north depot with my 2 boys 8 and 6 and a lady in wheelchair. I think you'll do fine. My boys liked the old man river swimming hole and Mai Tai's at the bar are good.

Hey, that's pretty close to where i think i want to be:thumbsup2 I think the kids will like the swimming hole too....as long as it has water in it they will swim in it;)

I'll have to remember the Mai Tai's and we'll have to try 'em!:thumbsup2

I think I have everyone that is going to participate in the secret santa so I will try to get everyone their people by friday.

when will we have the big reveal (i watch lots of home improvement shows lol)?

cut me some slack, jacks...or else i'm late for a very important date;) ; trying to remember when they needed to be "in hand" last year...i can have mine on it's way by the end of the 2nd week of Dec...hope it's okay.

WOOHOOTY...Santa is indeed coming to town....:santa:

KS, don't fret over the date of mailing etc....we know you are going away, and will cut you lots of slack jack:thumbsup2

Pam, all your plans sound fun...seems when we stayed, we were way over by where you can pick up a bus, and it was a nice room. I really think you will enjoy O'Hanna

KS, cool about the computer...you will be having Christmas all month with new gizmo's & a cruise to boot. HEY maybe you will find out the newlyweds are planning to start a family, now THAT would be a Christmas present ;) :goodvibes

Off to watch some TV .... I can't believe they are stringing this finale of DWTS's for 2 hrs..... :headache: Just tell us who wins and get it over with

evening all!

we are back from trent's basketball game. They got be 42-29. The team that they played tonight has played 5 games already and it was our first jr. high game. They all looked so handsome with their ties on today.

I will have to look at a calander and set a mail out date. that way everyone has an idea of when their package should be mailed out.

Mic--i have DWTS on too....i can't believe this show is 2 hrs. tonight. I was glad to see Marie go.

:scared1:    they are talking about snow/sleet/ice in our forecast this weekend:sad2:

Have a good sleep everyone! just think ks on night closer to going on your vacation!!!:cool1:

:scared1:    they are talking about snow/sleet/ice in our forecast this weekend:sad2:

don't you be sending that stuff this way  It got a lot colder last night, but supposed to be in 40's most of the daytime hours this week, sun is out...

and a BIG good morning all, hope this day finds everyone in good spirits...KS is one day closer to the big TRIPPER...

Pam, I bet the boys did look dapper in their ties...hope they will improve and pull out a win for themselves...first game is always a nervous one

See ya later, gotta run :surfweb:

HEY, I just saw the ol' alarm clock show up, and he is looking a little tired this a.m.........how's the Florida climate?

morning:)

they didn't run DWS in our market, Steelers game;) ; missed the showing @ 9:00 am next morning:mad: d'oh. Always thought i liked marie:eek: she was so annoying after a few episodes.

bad poochie ate my new strand of Xmas tree lights (the LED ones i bought to replace the ones she ate last year:rolleyes1 ) and an ornament; despite the fact that the bottom third of our tree was left empty. Figure she climbed on the bigger dog's back for a leg up:confused: bad dog

DS managed to lose dress pants & a belt, had to run to WM last night. Watched a giant tree limb fall down very close on road in front of me. Took a mighty bounce when i drove over it; afraid to go out & see if i have 2 flat tires this am. Glad it didn't come thru my windshield. Same road where the deer ran in front of me & middle DS was a passenger in a rollover starting to think it's cursed, should take the main road to the mall in lieu of the windy shortcut.

Resolution for the day - put up the darn outside decorations and iron

Have a good one!
