Quick driveby while the potatoes finish boiling...turkey is done, gravy is done, veggies are heating, table is set, dressing in oven....almost ready....I said between 3 & 4, so I did good!

I was able to speak to my Mom this morning...sounds very weak, said her throat is sore (guess the airway) and she is in a progressive care unit. They are starting to remove lots of the wires and gizmos she said, so hope she continues to improve...again, time will tell.

Ok, back to the kitchen...everyone enjoy their families and meal's today...we are gonna enjoy our's...so I hope

well, lunch wasn't the greatest today. two out of five loved the place.

nope, I didn't go shopping either....it's to cold here--18 degrees right now!! I have to go and take trent to basketball practice here in a few minutes too. Thank god for heated seats


I think my kids are going to at my sisters house tonight. My neice wanted them to come last night but with trent having bb practice they couldn't....so I think we will have a kidless night tonight

No shopping for me either...I actually did some shopping on Bath & Body Works online last night, they have THE best sale...I had a coupon for $10 off and got free shipping...beats trying to get into the store today...it made my evening that the site let you get the sale prices last night

I'm home alone, dh had to work. The dog woke me up early, so I see a nap in my future this afternoon...I've been watching TV and about to get a shower. Somehow or other yesterday while cutting the rest of the turkey up, the electric knife flipped outta my hand and caught my ring finger above the knuckle, so I have a lovely chunk of meat cut out...it was so weird how it happened, as it's my right hand that was holding the knife and that is the hand/finger it hit I know, supposed to be carving up turkey, not ME It hurts too Gonna let it get a good cleaning up in the shower and bandage it up again...I still haven't figured out how exactly it happened.

BBL friends...mac, glad at least 2 of ya enjoyed your meal...although that was less then 50% of those in attendance

we are sitting here watching the husker/colorado game...so far huskers are doing good I am thinking the NU football team will have a new coaching staff next year though.

Mic--OUCH!!!! that sounds like that hurts. Make sure you keep it covered...it is crazy howcuts have been turning into staph infection around here.

I think dave and I are going to go upto Lincoln tomorrow morning to do some shopping before we have to pick up the kids tomorrow. Maybe I can get done tomorrow and start wrapping...I hate wrapping presents!!!

Keisha - how was your shopping trip?

Thanks for the support, everyone. No one, except TVT knew what was going on. I really was freaking out too much to post anything about it. However, I think this is going to be a really good company and I am really excited about it. He just told me that one of the travel deals employees were offered were $25 per person (up to 4 people) for a Disney Cruise. I don't know all the details of what "could have been" but that is one email that went through that was offered to employees there. This is also the first time ever he will be working for a "profit" company. In DC, he worked at the U.S. Senate and American Red Cross and here he worked for American Cancer Society. So this will be a good change.

I got some great deals this weekend. Target.com had the games for $20 and $25 so I got Disney Scene It 2nd Edition and Disney Pictionary. I also got decorations for my house at Target. At Disneyshopping.com the Disney mickey icon wreath, the mickey and minnie christmas tree skirt. OHHH..Nico's Redskins bedding I got a great deal at Walmart.com!! And the biggest purchase was Lee getting the Nintendo Wii at 3am on Amazon.com. I have gotten some great deals these past two days and I haven't had to face the crowds

The only thing I am still in need of is the girls costumes. I may have to suck it up and pay the $25 each at Disneyshopping, but at one point they were on sale for $16 each and I didn't jump on the deal.

Evening all....seems us shoppers, online and in the trenches got some deals. Momma, you did good...and hold out a bit, I bet those costumes go on sale again..you never know. My original plan was to buy a WII for dh and ds, but since ds moved out, and they needed a TV, I went that route instead. My shopping is going to be easy and cut way back this year.

We just got our first oil bill of the season...we are on the monthly payment plan, and it went up $50 so much for extra money every month.

My finger is fine...just took a chunk out of it. I'm keeping antibiotic cream on it.

I hope all works well with the new job for Lee, I can imagine how much stress you were under, those things work on you mentally. That is awesome if you get some travel perks Again, I wish him well with the position. Too bad he couldn't have found something back around your families though...but then again, in Atlanta you are a lot closer to Disney

got busy today and cleaned racks in oven...ick....ran vacumm, tidy-ed up a bit, did laundry and made some turkey noodle soup, and read a pile of magazines that have been laying around and I'm tired of seeing them sit around...good grief, I found one from fall of 06
