I just reserved two sights for Dec. 6 thru Dec.13. They only had premiums available. I read that the premiums are all paved with no Tent (sand) pad. We will be in two RVs but we also wanted to set up a tent.

1) Tough to set up a tent when driving stakes into concrete.
2) That is just one of the reasons Preferred Sites sell out so quickly.

I just looked at a map with the camp-sight designations and they only have 3 as preferred and 11 as premium.

1) You can still put the tent.
2) It might be your only choice if The Fort is almost sold out.
3) It is just hard to erect a tent; you need to set it just right to drive stakes.
4) Sometimes there is just not enough space off the pad.

5) There are 799 campsites:

Chip,

You CAN set a tent on a Premium but I think The Rusty Scupper is trying to set expectations. There is no guarantee of having room off a Premium concrete pad to be able to set up a tent (like if you had a sand pad).

If your tent is free standing, that will work on a Premium and you are welcome to put it up. If your tent requires poles, stakes, guy lines, etc, that's not a good scenario for a Premium.

We just want it to work for you when you get there. :thumbsup2

PS - nobody asked but about 6 years ago when Disney started converting all those loops to Premium (those previously looked like the Preferred) I think they overdid it when going for the big bucks. In terms of mix viewed in light of supply-and-demand, the mix is off (too few Preferred). Can't go back in time but the Preferred are commonly full/unavailable but Premiums can still be had quite frequently.
