We are coming to WDW and Ft, Wilderness on December 19th. We are planning to camp in a tent. (And an RV) The problem is that I'd be in the tent and I use a CPAP machine. Do all the tent sites have electricity hook-ups, or is this something we'd have to request? (They have batteries for my machine but they are very expensive and sleeping without the machine is not an option.)

I just found out that the campsites are $100/night at Christmas time. Room rates at Ft. wildernessThat's better than $500. It sleeps up to 10 it said is that right? My sister could sleep in another tent on the same site or no? It says it sleeps 10 and we would be 9 total.

You can register up to ten people on one campsite. But are only allowed one car at the site, others would have to be parked at the overflow lot.

Correct. Two tents are allowed per site and a total of 10 people can be listed by name on the reservation. What type of site do you have reserved, Toadlover? The Premiums do not have a sand pad (which are best for tents) because they are all concrete. The other 3 types do to varying degrees. The Tent/Partial sites have the biggest sand pads (actually they are a crushed seashell product called coquina).

Since no one ever knows what site you will get till you arrive, no one has to worry about the site sizes, etc. However you make your reservation (online, phone, travel agent, etc) later call back and ask the reservation Cast Member to list the size of both tents on the reservation (10x10, etc). That way the info will flow down hill and the assigning CM will ensure you get a pad that will accommodate both tents.

Have fun at Christmas. Bring some decorations for your site if you can.

PS - all sites have the same utilities (electricity, water, sewer, cable for tv and internet (must use a Fort-issued modem)) EXCEPT the Tent/Partial sites don't have the sewer hookup.

This seems like a great idea but i dont think my sister and family will want to share. Still if alone i will ne cheaper for me.

I think you can remind your sister that by sharing a site the price is divided amongst the 2 families. Example if the site is 150 dollars, then if you and your sister split the cost it is only 75 dollars. IF staying for 5 nights that is 375 dollars.

Yes it will be cheaper but. Dont know that they will want to camp in a tent all 5 of them.

There is a 2 tent per site limit? I know when I was there in June many sites had more then 2 tents (and alot had more then 1 car also)... I know it the 2000 Loop we where able to fit 2 very large tents and could have done a third small one...

Also if you dont have a tent now I did see many ones that had different "rooms" maybe that would be a option

Official rules say 10 people, 2 tents and one screen room. I have seen more than 2 tents also.
