Can anyone give any insights on this? I was thinking about going there.

My decision is down to there or Spoodles. :sunny:

Me and my wife enjoy it. Not only can you get Tempura but also sushi. We may not hit every trip but more often than not we do stop in.

The original part of Tempura is kind of like a sushi bar. It is horse shoe shapped with the Tempura cooks and sushi chefs in the center. When they are done with your food they just hand it over the counter to you.

There used to be a seperate lounge at the front part of the Japanese pavilion where you could just walkin and grab a lounge table and chair. There you order drinks, sushi and some cooked appetizer type stuff. They now have turned into part of Tempura Kiku so you have to go through the hostess to sit in the lounge portion..

Any other questions in particular?

I have not been to spoodles yet, it is on my list for next time, though. I took my son and daughter to Tempura for lunch in June. Pretty standard tempura. I was a little disappointed in the sushi selection. California rolls, salmon, tuna... not much of a variety. The sushi was fine, it is just that I prefer an assortment. The view was nice, not crowded, there were only two other tables seated at the time, while there was a crowd waiting for Teppanyaki.
