We may have a family member (who is a resident & citizen of another country) coming to visit us for about a month this summer. Her health insurance from her home country does not cover her when she's in the US. I'm worried that if she has a health issue while here (which may happen because she's a little older & usually has some sort of issue requiring a doctors visit about every other month), we won't have the $$ to cover her health expenses, and neither will she. Is there any kind of temporary health insuranace you can buy for an overseas visitor to cover them while they are in the US? Not sure if travel insurance would cover this.
