Hello all! Planning to rent points and stay at BWV next January during race weekend. I've always wanted to stay there just because I love the location! So all of you BWV veterans...tell me all you can think of to share about the resort, specifically a studio room.

One specific question I have is about the mini-fridge in the rooms...just how "mini" is it? Can a gallon of milk or OJ fit in it or is it too small? And is there a microwave in the rooms as well? Thanks!

A gallon of milk should fit. They are decent sized fridges (think - college dorm room). And yes there is a MW. If you do not like stairs, either ask to be on a low level floor or close to the elavators. We were near the BW on teh 5th floor. I do not mind taking stairs usually, but it got old after a while. The stairs wells are not dirty, but they look like intrustial / mechanical stair wells.

The nightime entertainment is very good and free (like the one says - free / disney - that does not go together usually).

The fridges are definitely not the tiny square ones you see in some places, they're more counter height. Milk will fit - we always purchase some for our ds. We had a room in the village green area - great view and the floor we were on (3rd maybe?) had the gigantic balconies. The balcony was about half the size of our room! Too bad we were there during love bug season and really couldn't enjoy it!

Not quite sure which race weekend you are talking about, but if you mean the WDW Marathon weekend, I just want to remind you that you will have to take a bus to the start and from the finish from BWV.

So no private transportation would be allowed? Only buses?

You can drive to the Epcot parking lot, but it gets difficult early in the morning with all the offsite runners driving in. It took me about an hour to get to Epcot from OKW in 2011.

You will love the Boardwalk!

Its great to make the whole loop around crescent lake on foot, rent the surrey bikes, or a boat at the Y&BC marina. There is also a putt putt course over next to the Swan & Dolphin.

The stairwells are fire escapes, they are not supposed to be pretty. I don't think fire code allows carpeting or wallpaper.

This year the traffic was much, much better. Only took us about 15 minutes from AS Sports. Last year there were a couple accidents that really snarled things.
I also plan to stay at BWV next January for the Marathon.
