I am excited to see a new restaurant since we were last in Disney. Please tell me all about Kouzzina! Thanks! :thumbsup2

We enjoyed Kouzzina last year and we plan to return this year. We love the saganaki, also the greek lasagna, pastistio, (Spelled wrong?) The cinnamon stewed chicken was good also. Try the ouzzotini, a very strong yummy martini! My husband wants to try the sampler platter this year, wasn't offered last year. I think the lamb burger, and some other entree's are on it.

Our Ratings of Kouzzina: (rev 3/2/11)

. . . food selection: C
. . . seating quantity: B
. . . seating comfort: C

. . . eatery convenience: C
. . . staff friendliness: B

NOTE: The food, although named "Greek" resembled Greek in
name only. Very, very Americanized. My $32-steak was dry and her
$27-lamb was overcooked. Both had to be sent back to the kitchen.
The daughter had the sampler. Pretty small, about six bites for the
three items. Poor room design makes for terrible accoustics, making it one of
the noisest eateries in WDW - worse then Chef Mickeys on a bad
day. Makes an unacceptable atmosphere. Additionally, the family
bought me one of the 6" Sara Lee frozen birthday cakes available
at the podium - pretty good chocolate!

My meal was inedible. The Greek lasagna was served very cold and service was so slow that by the time the waiter made his way back, the rest of my party was finished eating. They comped my meal but we are not in a hurry to return.

We enjoy Kouzzina for breakfast, never had dinner there.

I always tend to agree with Pakey & Rusty..I am trusting them with this one...Going to do Il Mulino instead this trip :thumbsup2

When we ate here last year, we had great service. Our waiter was so nice and attentive to all of us. Our food was served warm and delicious. I'm sorry others had a bad experience. I plan on returning in 2 weeks!

it's loud, but we have managed to be there when it was not so crowded.Quieter than FF next door each time in fact.Service was good.

We have tried the following.

Sampler good but not great,filling

Kouzina spreads very very nice, they brought out xtra pita as we cleaned the six bowls out

Lamb shank was awesome, this is $5 more than locally not bad by Disprices

Baklava average

Galaktoboureko was one of the best I've eaten

We did a walk-up the first time and were surprised to get in immediately, not at the top but we'd go back.

We went for breakfast and had such a great experience we went a second time before the end of our trip. The prices are very reasonable for breakfast, and you get alot of really awesome food. That was only icing on the cake, though. I have a deathly nut allergy, and it is important that the chefs pay special attention to that. At Kouzzina, Chef Marylin was outstanding at making me feel right at home, and making sure my food was safe. She modified the plate a little bit so that I was able to order anything I wanted on the menu. She then prepared all of my stuff separate [herself], and came to our table about 5 times to make sure we were happy, and I liked my food. Awesome place, and will definitely be going back this year!

Breakfast was delicious and you didn't need an ADR. There were tons of empty tables the last 2 times we were there. We walked up. We had a great server and enjoyed a quiet breakfast. We haven't been for dinner as the menu doesn't appeal to us.

You will not be sorry. Please report back after and let us know what you think. I'll be dining there again in October.

We really enjoyed it there. I had the sampler and dh had the steak. He is very reluctant to try anything "different" but he really liked the seasoning and accompaniments that came with the steak. Our kids really liked the dessert pizza as well.

We are planning a return visit during our trip this fall.

Take care:goodvibes

My wife and I ate there in November, and we both enjoyed it.

We thought the service was good, and while the restaurant did seem a little on the loud side, it wasn't so bad during our 5:30 pm Sat night seating as to be a distraction.

I agree with PP that the food wasn't true Greek - but it was close and had many of the correct flavors. Call it American-Greek food.

We liked it and decided it would be worth a second visit on our next trip.

Here is my mini review from January 5th, 2011:

We checked in at Kouzzina's at 5:15 and only waited a couple of minutes before being seated.

We were seated in Cora’s room all by our lonesome and we stayed that way until about quarter to six. It was nice, private and we had great service!

We ordered Calamari to start and it was tasty.

DH ordered the Lamb Shank and I got Agvolemono (lemon chicken rice soup) and a side of garlic fried smashed potatoes which were delicious. I also couldn’t get enough of the bread. It was so tasty with the olive oil for dipping.

DS ordered the kid's pizza and DD ordered the kid's chicken skewer. Everyone liked their meals.

I tried a bit of DH meal…it was quite tasty but I wasn’t a big fan of the gigante beans.

I was pretty full by the time dessert came around but DH ordered the Loukomades and we shared. I didn’t like them and neither did he. I ate one and he had a couple but we agreed we’d never get them again.

The kids got the pizza dessert cookies and were in seventh heaven! They also tried a Loukomade and it was a unanimous vote against the little doughnut holes. Either we’ve been spoiled by Tim Horton’s or they’re just not that good…either way…we won’t be eating those again.

Hope this helps!!

I just talked to my best friend who works at Poly she said: "The Breakfast was amazing last time we visited. We did ADR but none were needed. It was a breath of fresh air to be in a relaxing restaurant for breakfast before spending the day in MK. It is one of the only breakfast locations that offers relaxation (no characters) for adults. You should check it out"

Hope this helps, if you want me to ask her more let me know :cutie:

We ate there for both breakfast and supper last December. It is pretty loud at dinner, but breakfast is really quiet, and was wonderful. My dd12 had the french toast with bacon, my dd10, dh and I all had the waffle with whipped mascarpone, honey and pecans, came with sausage or bacon. DD10 didn't LOVE the mascarpone, dh and I did. They also have a wonderful sunrise sangria for breakfast, a white wine sangria, delish!
Supper was decent, but not as awesome as breakfast, it was MUCH louder, the restaurant was full. The calamari, the dips, and the saganaki were all terrific. DH had the steak and enjoyed it. DD12 and I had the sampler, and could have split one sampler between us. I enjoyed the lamb burger and the cinnamon stewed chicken, but did NOT care for the pastitsio. DD12 LOVED the pastitsio, ate a LITTLE of the chicken, and hated the lamb burger. DD10 had the cinnamon stewed chicken, but she got a peice of chicken that was gristly, so didn't enjoy it as much as we did. Dessert, thought the baklava was pretty good, average I would say though, not super. Kids liked the loukamades, dh liked the galaktoboureko okay. I ended up eating a few bites of the chocolate budino cake which dd ordered, it was too dark, not very sweet, and very very rich. We would go back for dinner, probably, but it isn't a MUST do. Breakfast is a must do to us.

DH & I had our only Disney OOP dinner there last trip and it was fantastic! We had the the cheese appetizer and a ton of the bread, I had the sampler (all of which was incredible) and DH had the fish stew (which he still talks about). I don't remember the dessert, just that we split and both really like it. The night we went it was raining and cool and the Boardwalk was pretty empty at 5:30 pm. We got there early for our 6:00 pm reservation and were seated immediately. The place was empty except for one other table until around 6:00, then filled up quickly. I will agree with the pp who said it was loud. Once the dining room was full, the place was pretty loud.

We are so going back next trip.

we LOVED Kouzzina. I don't remember what I got....it was some kind of shank, it was amazing. My husband got the whole fish and loved it, and our girls got pastistio, also delish. And we are Greek so a little pickier about Greek food. We actually cancelled other reservations to go back there and will definitley go again this trip.

Thats why I love the disboards, everyone's experiences are so different and everyones tastes are so different. Some people will dislike a certain restaurant and some people will like it.

I think all you can do is if it sounds good to you try it and decide. I would love to try it for breakfast!!!!
