Hi,

We are board walk members and we are going to book 5 nights in a studio, at the 11 month mark.

We are considering changing this @ 7months to beach club.

The reason - weve never been and fancied something abit different.

Can anyone give us some advice about whats at beach club -

Do you think we'll be able to get a studio @ the 7 month mark? (end of july 09)

Is there any special area to request - can you get boardwalk views etc?

Are there any views of Epcot?

Any help / advice is really appreciated.

Thanks;)

We got a studio Beach Club with our SSR points for mid-July '07 at no more than three months when we first joined, so I'd say your chances are good.

There are definitely no Boardwalk views, as the BCV is on the other side of the BC Resort. There are rooms that have a view towards Epcot (maybe 25% of the rooms face that way, but perhaps only the upper levels can actually see anything), so you might be able to make it a request, but there is no separate booking category.

By staying at BCV, you will have access to Stormalong Bay - probably the best resort pool on property. It is one of only two pools that DVC members are never permitted to pool-hop to. It can get pretty crowded though, since it serves essentially three resorts - BC, BCV and YC.

You will also be closer to Cape May Cafe and Beaches and Cream, but anyone has access to those anyways.

It is also a shorter walk to Epcot.

Thanks for the reply:thumbsup2

I was not sure whether beach club villas had access to Stormalong Bay.

I'm so pleased it does.:goodvibes

You've probably got a reasonable chance of getting a studio at BCV at 7 months for July. Otherwise, my experience has always been that it's easier to get a studio at BWV than BCV. I've stayed in studios at both resorts, and one plus at BCV is that you can get CS food without going outside into uncovered area-BC Marketplace has some nice offerings, including cafeine-free diet coke, which many places don't, and of course, gelato.

We have gotten into the Beach Club at 7 months twice. It's easier to get a weekend than the weekdays. As others have said, the rooms views don't matter. Out reason for going to BCV is entirely the pool. It's one of our favorite parts to our trip. Our favorite thing is to get plastic noodles, wrap them around us and then float around the little lazy river in storm along bay. Heaven. I love the sand bottom too. We also tend to walk back into Epcot a lot - for dinner, or Illuminations, or shopping, so the quick walk is great. Definitely try it!!

That sounds great - I did not realise they had a lazy river - I thought it was a normal pool with a pirate ship.

Anyone know where I can get some photos of stormalong bay?

The pirate ship is realy a water slide and the pool is great -sandy bottom, lazy river and all. There is also a "quiet" pool on the side of the villa. We love BCV! View wise, it's not like BWV with the boardwalk view, water view, etc. We have gotten an EPCOT "view" at BCV. It's a limited view but I like it.

We leave for a BCV studio stay Tuesday am. When we had a 1BR, on a high floor with our requested Epcot view, we could watch most of Illuminations from our deck (couldn't see the low stuff). The quick walk to Epcot, and the nice walk to DHS were also plusses. The pool rocks.
