"Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party". It's a hard ticket event. MK closes at about 6 and the party starts at 7 (part goers can get wristbands later in the afternoon that day so be able to stay for the party which ends at midnight).
I went on one of the first ones last year (Tues. Nov. 29th I think). The crowds were light and the rides were all walkons but everything was a walkon for me that week - gotta LOVE that week after Thanksgiving! The parade was cute but I missed the snow on Main Street. Since I live in NY, I get enough of it. The fireworks were wonderful, but I thought that the party didn't live up to the hype for me. I wanted more traditional holiday things like carolers (didn't find any?) and holiday storytellers.
However the Candlelight Processional in EPCOT blew me away. I just LOVED that and I'm not a "churchy" person. I just loved the music and those 6 (yes, count 'em SIX!!) fanfare trumpets made me want to leap up and cheer with tears in my eyes. Alright, I'll admit it, I did weep and cheer but I'm a trumpet player too. Best of all, this is a free event. I imagine that weekends are more difficult to find seats, but if you go early in the week you can get a seat. Best thing, though, that since it's at the stage near the American Adventure, you can hear it clearly if you are in the area.
As for MVMCP, it was cute but not worth the $40ish ticket price for me since the crowds were very low during the regular park hours.
