Teens and Vaping.....what to do?

Does he know your sister died from drugs? If so, talk about it some more with him - how it killed her, how it messed up other people's lives etc. Talk about how you can't trust him because he lied to you and set reasonable consequences for the lying. But mostly, lay on the guilt so that he feels like a little **** for lying to you and risking his life doing something stupid.

I have four teens and if any of them were caught vaping or smoking they would be in serious trouble with me. I don't think people understand how bad it is for you. My kids would get their phones taken away. It has become a problem at my kids' school. I hope that your kid does not get hooked on nicotine, it is an awful addiction. Do what you need to do to steer him away from this stupid trend!

You've gotten a lot of good advice. Just want to mention the Adderall... kids LOVE Adderall and take it as a drug. I just want to mention that (so that he doesn't have his bottle of pills and can trade them for vaping, sell them for money, etc). You probably already know this anyway.

Just want to throw this out there. Have you really talked to him about it? Why is he doing it? Does he like the taste? Is he getting pressured? Does he want to fit in? Does he think he is supposed to because “everyone else is doing it?”

His reasonings May give further direction on how to proceed.
