She said she had 8 credits. If she were talking about her current semester, she wouldn't have had them yet, she'd have been taking them and as we saw, she again dropped everything.
Her first semester, when she was living with her parents, she dropped all her classes because she was too "busy" with Bentley, though she was living at home with her and Ryan's parents willing to babysit and Ryan himself there.
Then she tried online classes and dropped those because... of Bentley.
Then recently we saw her get last semester's grades - she had taken four classes and failed two (like F failed, so no credits there). This semester, she just dropped everything - again. Again blaming Bentley though she now has no job, the four grandparents, Ryan with custody 2-3 days per week and unemployed Kyle sitting around. How Maci is not able to manage community college - and remedial classes at that, as we've seen - is beyond me.
Maci is, as Ryan said when she dropped the first semester, lazy as ____. I thought he was being unfair at the time, now I see he knew her well.
She sits around doing nothing but fawning after her bf. Neither of them can even be bothered to cook - we've seen them feeding that kid those frozen peanut butter and jelly things that continue to amaze me with their existance, and toaster french toast. They can't be bothered to do anything with the kid - this episode she was all 'oh mah gawd Bentley, you peed your pants!' then busted out 'is that why you were saying pee pee before?' Way to potty train. Also good job on breaking him of the pacifier habit. They can't be bothered to get jobs, and when Bentley went to Ryan's this past episode, Maci's reaction to his leaving was that she was bored and "this is stupid," now that he wasn't there. Gee, Maci, I have several ideas of how you might cure your boredom - get off your orange butt and do something!
Ryan didn't have a job because he was laid off from his previous job and was unemployed for a period of time. When they were first on 16&, Ryan had a good job, he was sent for an out-of-state training seminar by his employer, his own apartment, his own vehicle, etc. Maci moved into his place.
He was laid off. Presumably he's been looking for a job as he found one and started a couple months ago (in show time). Maci did office work for her father and bartended for a hot minute and since then, she's sat around. She has no room to talk about Ryan, imo.
As for the couch thing, I think Bentley naps there, not sleeps there in general.
Ryan protested her taking Bentley twice, for extended periods, once by the car and once at the party. When she would not stop and eventually just said she'd take him regardless, Ryan gave up and walked off.
Judges can absolutely dictate that parents can't live with a non-spousal partner, yep. Given Maci's behaviour (the running off to chase Kyle with no notice), it'd seem fairly likely Ryan could get it added.
Are you kidding me? How in the world would Ryan even have the right to even think that (as even if it were true, I don't think anyone should ever say that to someone.) She's been Bentley's sole provider his entire life. Do you not remember how horrible Ryan was when they lived together? He did absolutely NOTHING for Bentley. Not to mention, that Ryan certainly has never gone to college, so I'd say that's being lazier than someone who at least started. At the time he said that, he had NO job (apparently now, has only held one for 2 months...what the heck was he doing with all his time of doing nothing before that??) Plus, Ryan still lives at home with his mommy and daddy, so they can pay all his bills, and take care of his kid, when his kid is around. Give me a break, Ryan of all ppl., is that last person that should ever think someone else is lazy. By the way I'm pretty sure Ryan's "good job," had something to do with his Dad, and how long did he actually work for that company? If I recall correctly, it didn't seem like for very long. I was also under the assumption that Maci didn't move in to Ryans apartment, but that they got the apartment together, and I thought his parents got him that truck? Even if I'm incorrect, Maci obviously has a place and vehicle of her own as well. I'd bet my money that Maci has worked for a longer period of time in her life than Ryan, even though I'm not sure if she has a job right now.
