Teen Mom

I think we have to remember that these are young girls with kids. Yes there are a lot of them out there but these girls are immature with kids and now they have the fame and money that this show is giving them. Right now they don't have to work, is that the most mature thing no, but these girls were not very mature to begin with to get pregnant.

Farrah may be romantizing her relationship with Derrek but he died so early and even though they had rough times she still loved him and had his child. I am sure in her mind she always wonders what if and she will never no. I know that being a single mom at such a young age makes you wonder if anyone will want you because you have a kid. I feel like she still makes dumb decisions but she it trying a lot harder then before.

C and T are very mature but they need to back up a little bit with the baby because they will scare off Teresa and Brandon. It is one thing to have contact and send pictures, it is another to have her at your graduation or wedding!!! It is almost like they are saying you raise her but when we want her around we hope you will bring her. We can't do the hard work, you do that.

Maci is spoiled and I think Ryan is too. Maci and Kyle were together when she started dating Ryan and got pregnant so Kyle has a lot of hate towards Ryan. It is not like Maci just found the first boy to come along and moved in with him. She has known Kyle for a long time. I am not sure how MTV is cutting the footage but it just seems like Ryan does not care. Bently calls Ryan Ryan not dad. That is odd to me. And Maci was cooking last episode. I think that arguement is silly. I have had pizza at my kids birthday parties, why can't she have crustables? I think she does a great job with Bently and she gets lots of help but you will notice when she does go places with her friends she usually has Bently with her.

I am not even going to address Amber. She is sad but a product of her environment.

All these girls are young and stupid and to top it off they now have the fame aspect. They have moeny thrown at them not only from MTV but from magazines and other places. I am sure it has gone to their head and right now they are just living in the moment. It will be sad when the money is gone because reality will set in for most of them.

I noticed Amber calling her mom down during the last episode. Seems Amber's anger issues come from her mom. That is usually the way it goes but actually seeing her Mom act like a 14 year old was an eye opener.

Cornflake, Your post amuse me. You keep saying it's all editing to make Maci look like a good person or what not. Why do you think that.

I think you have me mixed up with another poster - I''ve never said anything like that. :confused3

Cornflake, what I don't get is how you can just forget Ryan's start with Bentley. He wanted NOTHING to do with that baby. He was out sleeping with other girls while Macy was home taking care of their newborn. He never once got up with him overnight, never fed him a bottle or changed him. He rolled over and went back to sleep. And to say Macy should have handed him the baby and left, really? She tried a couple of times and Ryan wasn't remotely watching him, he wouldn't hold him, let him scream. In a later episode Bentley was running or crawling towards the steps, Macy warned him, and he still didn't move. This is really the guy you think is a good father?

I don't think Maci's mom of the year, but she does a pretty decent job. And having her parents help is irrelevant to me. Her parents weren't getting up overnight, feeding, bathing, clothing Bentley. Yes, they helped, but I would too if my 17yo had a baby.

I didn't forget it, he was a lousy father when Bentley was first born - though I don't remember anything about him sleeping with other girls at all, I remember scenes of him out at a club.

Also, while I agree he wasn't particularly interested or motivated to do anything, he wasn't totally refusing to touch the kid - and when he refused to get up, he'd been at work all day.

Yes, I do think Maci should have handed him the baby and left, as he'd done nothing to indicate that he wouldn't take care o the kid if no one else was there, just that if Maci was there, he'd resist doing anything and harangue her to do it.

However, I don't think that means he's branded forever, even if he changes - which it seems he has. We've seen him playing with Bentley, taking care of Bentley, etc.

Farrah was an awful parent too, pawning her kid off on her mother - remember Farrah sleeping while Sophia cried in the crib next to her until Deb came in to get her? Remember Farrah telling her mother she was going out and just leaving, and Deb saying she'd been out every night? I don't see a lot of people saying that, because of how she acted then, Farrah is a terrible parent now.

Having her parents help isn't irrelevant to me because she acts as if she's some struggling single parent who can't manage all the tough things she's juggling - when in reality, she takes every summer "off" (off from what, Maci?) to hang around with her bf, has no job besides allowing people to film her, has been supported by her parents in myriad ways, has an involved father and four involved, loving grandparents for her child and still can't manage to pass a single semester of community college - but says with a straight face that she's never made a mistake.

if forced to, could Ryan get a place of his own, pay his own bills and give his son a stable home without the help of his parents? NO. He tried, but he couldn't handle it. But Maci did. She has since Bentley was an infant. In a court of law, that will stand out. Yeah, the judge will grant proper custody but I can easily see Maci being the primary parent for Bentley, she's been the primary parent all along. What Ryan's parents are failing to see is Bentley wants for NOTHING. That child is loved and is happy to go to either parent when its time. He's not crying or latching on. He's a good boy. Maci has given him a good home. She's not perfect, but she's no Amber.

Just got this from the Teen Mom wall on Facebook

When did he try and couldn't handle it? When he got laid off? He... got laid off. Maci has no job and no skills.

And, again, she didn't do anything alone. She lived with Ryan, then she lived with her parents, then she moved to Nashville and moved Kyle in now she's back living with Kyle. Maci has been on her own like a month. She mostly lived with her parents. How has she done anything alone?

after Bentley was born he and Maci had a place. He partied all night while Maci with a newborn. I'm sorry, but I just dont agree with you. Maci lives in her OWN home. She's not living with her parents. They asked to move back. She contacted a realtor instead. You take care now.:)

I would love to be able to see how good of a parent Maci would be and how independent Maci would be without MTV money. IMO, she gets just as much credit for providing for him and being independent from her parents under the current circumstances as Kate Gosselin does (or did?) by providing for her children with payments from a reality show.

We're free to disagree.... Ryan had that place before Bentley or Maci was in the picture. It was his apartment.

Yes, she has A place now - not her own, one that she and Kyle moved into, on her MTV money. They just moved there, her 4th move in 2 years, and she spent most of the two years living with her parents.

Cornflake, I think she really should have lived with her parents for most of the past 2 years. She was a teenager with a baby, lord knows she could have used the support and help of her parents, particularly when Ryan gave none.

Do you have kids? I'm hoping no, cause as a parent, there is NO WAY I would leave my baby with someone who showed ZERO interest in him. No way. I'd do just about anything before I'd do that. Especially a newborn who can't care for himself at all. Heck, my own husband is a physician and loves and wanted our kids and I still was hesitant to leave him alone with our kids as tiny infants. But at least I knew he loved them, wouldn't neglect them, and would do anything in his power to keep them safe and as happy as he could.

Ryan proved just the opposite. He had no trouble staying out all night partying with friends, but was just so exhausted he couldn't get up with his own son (and the sleeping with someone else is from what Maci said, I don't think they actually showed it, but she said on one of those Dr. Drew shows that he cheated on her while she was home with a newborn)? And when Maci was there he wouldn't care for Bentley why? That makes sense? When I'm home, my husband still has no issues changing diapers or feeding the kids (though I breastfed, so the number of times he had to bottle feed could likely be counted on one hand, but that was my choice, he had no issues feeding pumped bottles when he was home). And my husband has a legitimate job where he works 12+ hours a day, not whatever Ryan might have been doing.

And that trucking job, not only was he a moron not to take it, but quite honestly it was rude and embarrassing to his father as well. He went out of his way to look for something his clearly untrained, lazy son could do (remember then constantly harping on him about a job?), and he flat out refused.

I also disagree that he had no obligation to Maci. Maybe not legally, but morally he did. He was a willing participant in the conception, he willingly agreed to keep the baby, and so it is his job to see that the mother of his child is cared for during hte pregnancy and immediately after. Not forever, but at least the first 6 weeks while she was recovering from birth and sleep deprived. Doing otherwise is/was a disservice to his son.

Now, would I hold it against him forever if he changed? Certainly not. I think Farrah was a horrible mother to start, but she's come into her own and has definitely changed and is a way better parent now. Ryan, however, has really not changed that much. His parents are the primary caregivers when he has Bentley. If it weren't for them, I doubt he'd want to see the kid at all. I have rarely seen him play with Bentley, feed, change, dress him, it's always his parents.

Oh yeah, and when Maci moved to wherever Kyle lived, she didn't move in with him, she moved into her own place. Later on there was discussion of Kyle moving in, but I'm not sure that happened as then she moved back to her hometown (where Kyle did then move in). But she's been with Kyle long enough that I wouldn't see that as a problem.

Again, I don't think she's mom of the year. I don't think moving him away from his family was a good idea, but overall, she is way, way better than Ryan as a parent.

just finished watching last nights show. I LOVE MY DVR!

Cait & Ty: these kids are so cute. Trying to figure out this crazy world. Even though they are my least favorite story, I have to give them kudos on how they are moving forward. How did Ty's mom get Brendon and Theresa's number? Cait and Ty don't even have their number and address, they have to go to their adoptive counselor to get pics and drop off gifts for Carylee. I can't believe Ty's mom called them. I'm sure Brendon and Theresa were totally freaked out by it.

Amber: That girl is like a ticking time bomb. She has alot of issues. And she has been in and out of relationships since Leah's birth and her getting involved with another guy is the last thing she needs.

Farrah: HOW STUPID IS THIS LITTLE GIRL? Wouldn't it make more sense to finish school at home, then move? Wanting to move a plane ride away from everything she and Sofia knows is beyond stupid. If it was just her, fine, but she needs to think about her young daughter. Her parents watch Sofia whenever Farrah needs them too. Most likely they do it for free. Does this girl realize how good she has it? I wanted the shake the tar out of her watching how disrespectful she was to her parents. Does anyone know why she calls her dad Michael? I thought maybe he was her step dad, but he obviously looks like her, so what gives? Is it a religious thing? I notice there were no Christmas decorations in their house. Are they Jehovah Witness?

Maci: First, I was glad to see them thinking about putting Bentley in a daycare. I know from family experience that its important to put Bentley in a classroom setting now before he needs to start school. But Bentley was so cute yesterday he was getting out of that room. When he saw Kyle walk in he calmed down. It made sense that Maci's biological clock kick started. Kyle is a good guy, but that should be the main reason why she needs to do this the right way. Pushing Kyle to it, will only push him away in the long run. Him proposing, getting married then having another baby is the right way to handle this. Maci needs to focus on finishing school. She said that Bentley is with Ryan AND his parents half the week, thats when she needs to be in school. Maci is a good girl, she just needs to focus on her priorities.

I thought the same thing about Amber. She's getting involved with another guy? Worry about getting your act together first.

Farrah...I just want to smack her upside the head.

I don't understand why Maci dropped half her credits. She can concentrate on school when she doesn't have Bentley soooo...why is she using Bentley as an excuse? :confused3

Sooo Maci, you can't manage to do your school work yet you're so bored when Bentley leaves for half the week (your words) AND he's going to daycare now? You don't work, so what exactly are you filling half your week with? Yup, not lazy at all..

This is only the second guy we've seen her with save Geeeerrryyy. The first was that winner ex-con she picked up at that hot meeting place, the Walmart, and moved into her apartment. She's so high in all her scenes it's amazing.

Farrah...I just want to smack her upside the head.
There's a line. Also, given the previews, what the hell is with her flying around to random states, and now apparently dragging her parents with her, to 'see' if she wants to live there. Like, what? Pick someplace, preferably for any reason at all, research it, find an area, for, again, reasons, find if it's affordable, if it has what you need, etc., etc. THEN maybe before committing, fly out to check and see if it's what it looked like. Just... 'I want to go to California, so I'll fly there and look around and ... eh, I don't like California, Imma fly to Arizona and look at it!' Girl is dumber than a sack of hair.

Because Maci is lazy as ____ and has no ambition whatsoever? Heh. She can't do schoolwork when Bentley isn't there, she's boooored, so she'd best have another baby so she can have it seven days a week.

Because that's obviously one of your better reasons to bring human beings into the world. Also, 2 kids at 19 with two different guys just smacks of success and good sense. Her mother's face was kind of priceless.

I also loved how she's so sure Kyle won't leave her and she won't be doing this same dance again. That's what you thought about Ryan, you've been together less than a year and already broken up once, you're both unemployed and he clearly doesn't seem interested in a kid. He wouldn't even change your kid's diaper and doesn't cook for him, though neither do you. What stunning father material. He hangs him upside down and picks him up, yeah, what more can you ask for?

I couldn't believe Tyler's mother called B&T. I like her in general, I think she's quite sensible but that was appalling. 'Do you mean I have to go through you to go through them every time....' YES! It's not your grandchild, it's not their child, it's Brandon and Theresa's child. Back. Off.

I feel C&T and get they were excited Butch and April (who SO need their own spinoff) were finally sortof embracing the adoption thing but the present pile was over the top. I wouldn't be surprised if B&T close the adoption at some point, or at least move that way.

I agree! I know that Carly is T&C's biological child but they chose to give her up for adoption. So to have her come to their graduation and want her to be the flower girl in their wedding? A bit much. I also agree all those gifts were way over the top. It's one thing for T&C to be involved in Carly's life but their parents too??? As Carly grows up, she's only going to be confused by all of this. I can definitely see them closing the adoption.

Brendon and Theresa needs to close the adoption. Its too much. Cait and Ty expect this relationship. I mean how much is too much? Will they expect to be there on Carylee's first day of school? On her wedding day, will Ty expect to walk her down the aisle?
