I haven't read the whole thread and I have missed the last 2 shows, but I'll throw in my 2 cents anyway.

Gary and Amber: If you are arguing the semantics of a wedding proposal...here's your sign. ( HATE that expression but if fit so perfectly here)
I don't think I could stand to be in the same room with them for more than 10 min, so MAJOR props to the camera crew.

Catyln and Tyler: Family belongs on Jerry Springer. Especially the adults. And like so many other on here, I cannot stand the way Catlyn talks. I don't think it's braces, i think it's whining.

Farrah: Ever since I read on the Dis that her boyfriend was killed, I see her in a different light. Yes, she is spoiled. But imagine how difficult it is to raise a baby on your own because the father died. She is reminded of that everytime she sees little Sophia. And yes, her mom is a nut job. I can't stand the sight of her.

Maci: America's sweetheart. Nah, really she is a great mom. She still has some growing up to do, but thats no different than any other teenage mom. She loves Bentley with all her heart and she is the only reason I watch the show. She is a good mom and her ex bf is an idiot for dumping her. She is gorgeous and sweet.

Chiming in with my thoughts on the gals...........

Maci seems like she has a decent head on her shoulders for being a teen mom. She usually puts her son 1st and doesn't whine about the poor choices she has made....she has her big girl panties on and I like that about a person! (in a way, she reminds me of myself and the type of mom I would have been with Christopher)


Farrah is spoiled but I think she is a product of her surroundings. Her mom is WAY out there, doesn't seem like she is the lovey dovey type which therefore makes Farrah not as aware of the needs of a little baby girl. I think she is doing the 'best with what she has' as far as knowledge for being a mom. I think it is hard being a teen mom and knowing that your baby will never have the father you pictured for her because he is dead.


Gary and Amber........I really can't tolerate Amber. Her voice is nothing but fingernails on the chalkboard to me! Of the 2, I have to say Gary seems like the better parent, which is SCARY. He really interacts with Leah and seems to be in it for her. I think he needs to get a job, but overall he doesn't seem like a manipulative person like Amber is. She needs to GROW up, get a job and try to be a mother rather than a drama queen.

Caitlyn and Tyler again are products of their surroundings. Tyler seems to have a 'better chance' as his mom seems somewhat responsible and tries to instill that in him. Poor Caitlyn, I want to take her away from them all and have her live with me, to show her how a family could be and should be (not saying we are perfect, but life could be so much more for her). I hope that with help of MTV or scholarships she will go to college and make something of herself to break the cycle her family seems to be in. Her mother is a hot mess and it is sad that she has such a little one yet to raise. I must say at least he has an older sister to watch out for him. I have my doubts that Ty and Caitlyn will make it as a couple, but even if they don't I feel that they are far more mature than any of their parents....the fact that they wanted so much better for their daughter is a testament to the kind of people they will grow up to be.

Tuesday is a bad night for us, so I had 3 weeks worth of shows to catch up on last night. I was fast forwarding through much of it and DD walked thought and said you really don't like this season much do you mom and I think she is right.

The more I watch these people the more amazed I am at how they function in everyday life. Most don't have jobs and spend the majority of their time whining how bad (fill in the blank) is.

Farrah, while I think her mom is a nut case, Farrah is no prize. You call the police because your mother slapped you, your mother says she was defending herself which I could believe either scenario because they both have issues, but then Farrah is waiting for her mom to finish her probation so you can ask her for help??? You either stand on your own or work it out with your parents Farrah you can't have it both ways.

Amber and Gary, I decided they are both too lazy to even look for another partner and would rather just fight and whine about their situation than do anything to change it. The way Ambers mom treated Garys mom in the first season of 16 and Pregnant, no wonder they didn't want to stay with them at the destination wedding nobody can afford. Amber if you really want to marry Gary, go down to Shadyside Park and get married at the gardens. Its makes a lovely wedding and I think its free to use. All you would need to pay for is the minister and license. Heck, my DS got ordained in Iraq and would marry you for free, and I would pay for the license just to have the whining stop! The kid across the street got his GED last week and his ambition is to sit on the porch and smoke all day. Maybe if you would have taken it while the information was still fresh you could have passed it without all the drama about taking the class. FWIW, they offer GED on TV classes on PBS and ITS FREE! Leah just has this old soul look about her. What is so sad, I'm afraid she doesn't have much hope for a better life. She is destined to go to the same rotten school her mom

Caitlyn is the one I really feel sorry for. What a hot mess that family is. Yes she whines and complains, but to have to live with those people is enough to send anyone over the edge. I wanted her to tell her mom that she didn't want her DD to live in this mess and actually saved her. Does anyone think her mom has the meth look about her. She just seems to look worse and worse every week. Join the military, peace corp ANYTHING to get away! I think both her and Tyler would be better off apart. They just feed off of each others sadness.

I just don't feel the Maci love that everyone feels. I feel she does a better job because she really has it pretty good. While Ryan is no prize, Bently Benny or whatever she is calling him these days really seems to love him and is always sad to leave him. I was really ticked about the whole pacifier thing. Maci was mad that Ryan gave him the pacifier AFTER he had fallen and was upset, but we see Maci giving it to him all the time. I think both sets of parents are really involved in his life and Maci does seem to have lots of extra cash to go out with her friends and take trips to stay with them. Rental cars are expensive so she is getting extra cash from someplace. I think the other moms would be doing much better if they had the advantages Maci does.

I noticed something that confused the bejeez out of me. Does tylet have younger siblings that perhaps arenot be filmed? There was an awful lot of toys in that back yard for younger kids It couldn't have all been Tylers when he was younger as there was A pink playhouse and toy kitchen???? So confused.....

Does anyone else thinks it mainly Ryans parents idea to sue for custody of Bentley he really doesn't seem to care one way or another. My heart broke for Maci when she was calling her mom. She is right he didn't want anything to do with Bentley when he was little.

I'm glad Farrah is letting her mom help her with Sophia, her mom loves that little girl to death, you can tell by how she interacts with her.

I agree. Ryan seems like he couldn't care less either way. I hope the judge laughs in his face when he asks for more time. Um lets see...you don't work, your parents must be paying child support for you, Maci works, goes to school and is raising Bentley mostly on her own...yeah, buh-bye you loser!

Farrah's just looking for free babysitting in my opinion and is willing to suck it up and deal with her mom to get it.

Usually I'm never Team Amber, but last night Gary was the a$$. After already agreeing to watch Leah he pulls that crap because his buddy was calling him a b!@$...whatever!

Poor Catelynn. I hate the way her mother talks to her. I can't imagine EVER calling my daughter the B word! Who does that?? OMG!!

I agree that Ryan only wants more custody due to his parents. And I think his parents are only pushing due to what they are paying in child support. For him to have the amount figure out as to what it would cost for Bently to grow up instead of mentioning what he might miss said alot.
I feel bad for Caitlynn. Her mother is awful. She seems like the type of person who would watch the show and not even be suprised by how she is dipicted. Caitlynn seems to have had a very hard life. I hope they get paid enough so that after high school she can establish herself without her mom.
Farrah seems to still be grieving. She had a lot of major changes in the last year. To me her mother is odd. Why is she so concerned about being best friends with her daughter? I also think that Farrah's mom wants to act like Sophia is her child. I cannot stand how often Farrah leaves the baby unattended, in the sink, on the counter, on the couch...
Amber and Gary seem like they only function with drama.

Last night was so horrible and also wonderful for Caitlyn. Her mother is a freakin scumbag and does not deserve to even have a child. I just sat there with tears in my eyes wanting to hug that poor girl. How amazing that she chose to get Carly away from that. I seriously pray that poor girl gets out of that environment. I just want to pick her up and let her move in here and take her to Disneyworld haha. So happy for them both when they won prom queen and king.

Glad to see the therapist call Farrah out for her anger. Their relationship is so complicated. I do think Farrah is trying her best, but OMGSH get Sophia off the counter!

For once, I felt bad for Amber. That was a horribly shady thing that Gary did. He doesn't work..... He does nothing and she should have been able to have her girl's night. Amber needs to grow up and Gary needs to man up.

I have been where Maci is when my son was little. His dad was no help and then later wanted to be just to hurt me. Ryan's parents are NOT helping Bentley or their son. Make Ryan find a job etc. Why was the girlfriend asleep on the bed? Also, why does Ryan have money for a girlfriend, a gas hog truck, and to go out to eat. His parents are enablers. I just admire that Maci.

My take on things... RYAN knows that Macis boyfriend lives 2 hrs away and would eventually want to move there. Parents want the joint custody because they are paying the support. Ryan moved on with his life I guarantee he spends very little time with Bently his mom does. New girlfriend a little touble maker. BIG GARY.... Knew he was wrong I feel like his friend is very jealous of Gary and he made him do it. Like he wanted to go dancing with the girls? And do what with Lea?CATELYNN...Mom is very angry and jealous of C I feel she had a very terrible life straddled with kids and some type of addiction then and still now. I dont think she misses the baby just wanted C to suffer like her knowing that C wants to break the cycle. Because if baby was in picture and she asked mom for help mom would say its your baby your the one who got pregnant deal with it. I feel like Tylers mom has her head on straight you would think she could have helped them raise that baby. Wonder if she now regrets it seeing her son suffer the way he is.FARRAH.....I can see her mom slapping her I want to every week . There is no talking to her that attitude comes out in every conversation. She doesnt want to talk just argue. Im glad that the therapist nipped her right in the bud. She doesnt want to ask for help but will let mom babysit not to help with the relationship but just to use her. Sounds like parents are still together and mom makes all the money. Her dad is a lawyer and when she got scammed friend said asked dad for money she said he has no money. Farrahs world is starting to crumble financially and wants to go home she is dying for mom to beg her and BABY to come home .When she does she is going home because mom begged and for Sophia not because its to rough out there. I dont belive the police should have been involved but I think the moms trouble were not from the punch but the rest of the cops/knife thing that way brushed away from us. DA tryed to talk about saying mom almost got shot she wouldnt put the knives down?

My 2 cents...

I think Ryan only wants Bentley more because that would be 'fair.' His parents want Bentley around more (and what grandparents wouldn't) and that's the only reason he's pursuing it. He wants it to look good on paper. I don't really think his girlfriend is trying to stir the pot but 'attempting' to be supportive and personally I think she feels like a little family when Bentley is with them and enjoys it. I honestly do think the judge will give Ryan another day if he wants it. I don't know why I think that though. I don't think he should get one, but I do think judges want to see father's involved as much as possible and like to give each parent equal time with kids when they can. We'll see. I also think part of him wants to keep Maci from moving just 'because he can.'

Gary/Amber are ridiculous. I honestly wanted to hit Gary's friend for being such a poo stirrer, but Gary should be able to stand his ground. They are both train wrecks. Amber said last episode 'I'm doing damn well for myself without an education,' and I wanted to hit her. I have to assume she gets various amounts of welfare if she is only working part time and lives on her own. She therefore, is not taking care of herself... the government is. Amber's voice also makes me want to punch babies.

Farrah I'm coming around to. I still think she's a bit of a brat although I think she's grown up a lot since moving out. There is a lot of pent up anger towards her mother and I am willing to bet it started well before this show started taping. Her mother has always struck me as very odd - spiteful even. I do think Farrah's mom likes to act like the baby is her own. I think deep down Farrah wants a good relationship with her mother and I don't think she would have asked her mother to babysit if she hadn't have offered. But being a single mom she and weighing the pros and cons (she's losing free babysitting and is struggling already) it seems like a good choice and a step in the right direction. She may not get along with her mother, but it's clear Sophia would be in good hands with her mom watching her and it's an opportunity for Sophia and her mom to be together and form a relationship without Farrah and her mom clashing all the time.

Catelynn... I just feel bad for. I'm fairly confident her mother is going through cocaine withdrawals (maybe crack). She looks like a drug user, she's constantly tweaking and her horrible mood swings seem to have really hit peak since Tyler's dad went to rehab. I can only assume that he was the one that had the drug connections and kept the household stocked up. I feel terrible for her. Tyler still strikes me as very mature for his age. I know a lot of people had issues with the phone records thing but I honestly didn't. I think if you have to go that far you might as well call it quits, but some people would rather not. It was pretty clear that after he asked for phone records the 'truth' came out and frankly, if he wouldn't have asked for them Catelynn probably would never have fessed up. Either way, the way he handles the relationship has always struck me as a bit mature for his age. Not sure why.

Does anyone know if Ryan ends up with shared custody? He doesn't seem that into it, although i can see hy his parents are pushing it. They have a very real fear they wouldn't see their grandson once Maci moves away.That said, I was APPALLED by Maci calling her mom while driving home. I kept looking to see if maybe someone else was driving, but it looked like it was her. I lost count of how many times she looked away from the road, took both hands off the wheel and closed her eyes. She's very lucky she and Bentley are still alive after that.

As for Gary and Amber, I always hope CPS will catch an episode and investigate them. Two of the most self-centered people I've ever seen.

I have a few questions and I really don't feel like going back through all these pages to see if there is an answer.

1. Are these girls getting paid for being on this show. That would be the only explanation I have. I was a teen mom and there is NO WAY I could have afforded a nice apartment and a car note.

2. I know Farrah's boyfriend is passed away but does her boyfriends parents ever see this Sophia. Do they even know she exists? If they do why aren't they hlping this poor girl.

3. I can't believe these camera crews aren't required to hold some kind of liability toward these toddlers. Like calling CPS. (Ahem, AmberGary, caugh)

4. Maci and Ryan. Come on people. There are kids that live across the country away from the other parent let alone 2 hours away. I live here in TN and where they live now and Where she wants to live is realisticly not that far away. They can compramise and meet half way at Denny's or something. Ryans parents are just trying to control the situation IMHO.
