The only other interesting thing I have to say is - I am eating some AWESOME jelly beans!!! Jelly Belly Ice Cream Parlor Mix! There's Mint Choc Chip, Apple Pie, Strawberry, Chocolate & Cake Batter. YUM.

YUM...those do sound good!

Unfortunately, BOTH! :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: Usually in the morning when I take Linds to school DR and I stay in our PJ's. We live on the main road in our town and I think half the moms drive by our house each morning. I'm sure they all look at me like I'm nuts. LOL

Hope you can get to the store without having to take the little ones out. :lovestruc

Eh...didn't happen. Oh well, got some yummy Steeler colors Crisy Cremes though. :)

I hear you on that! Hope she feels better. :hug:

In other news, we took the plunge and put down a deposit on DVC. :faint: We're waiting for the paper work to come through. So, it looks like our June trip to Poly is morphing into a July trip to SSR. We're pretty excited about it, and can't wait until we get a chance to stay at BLT - probably won't be until June of 2010. :eek:

Gotta go check on my little one. I'll try to pop in again later.

:wave:

Thanks David. :)

And CONGRATS on the DVC purchase! Glad to hear your little one is feeling better.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Took the kiddos to the store. Lindsey looked pathetic and rode in the cart but once she got some meds in her and ate some chicken noodle soup, she perked up a bit. Her and I stayed up and watched Wall-E while DR fell asleep on me.
Both are in bed now and I'm going back to work on E-bay stuff. I have no idea why I buy my kids so much stuff! It's such a sickness!
See ya all tomorrow!
Evening everyone! I need help! Jim is working on the DVD from the August trip. We need an idea for a a song to be payed over the Fockerfest pictures. We were thinking of downloading some German music on iTunes, but I thought you all could come with a better idea! Hellllllp!
Hey where is everbody? Oh yeah, it's Saturday and some people have lives. :rotfl2:
Katt - Um, thanks for the gory visual. I'm glad I wasn't having dinner when a read that.
Janet - I was happy with free food at WDW. It's all in who you know. :rolleyes:
Mel - That's the key to excercise. Find something you like and don't overdo it at first.
Tig - Congrats on the DVC!
I like the idea of the german music.
The problem for us is that free dining is usually after Jim and Jimmy are back in school, and while I probaly wouldn't mind pulling Jimmy out for a couple days it is hard for Jim to take days off. Substitute teachers are so hard to come bye around here! :sad2: I would love to go for F & W Fst, but the only way that is going to happen is if I do a solo trip or we wait until we retire!
I was bein' sarcastic. I'd rather have 20 - 30% off stuff and free tickets.
How about 'Roll Out the Barrell' for your music?
OK...I'm feeling a little bit like Eeyore here....
How come nobody ever quotes my posts...am I not being read?
Hey Kat, glad to hear things are getting back to usual. Hang in there:hug: :hug:
We like the Borgata, thats really the only place we have stayed
If your looking for some nice places to eat in Nyc instead let me know. We go into the city prob about once every 2 weeks. I know lots of GREAT places.
And you don't tell me? LOL we should have dinner!I think if we do stay here that I will be making a reservation at the 4 seasons.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
working on an update on my TR...it's the fockerfest one...look for it in about ten minutes!!!
Finally!!!!! I'm just sitting here on the couch with a drink and my laptop, whilst Steve watches football on his new TV! :cloud9: Its what I wanted to do last night, but couldnt because we asked our friend Frank to help us set up the TV. And I posted on FB that they were setting it up, so I get a call from another friend about it because his son saw my post on FB so they ended coming over then I felt like I was obligated to call another couple to come over so they wouldnt be mad if they saw cars at the house. and then they all brought their kids! teenagers that usually stay home!! :sad2: I usually love a gettogether,,but thats not what i wanted last nite! I was frusterated all nite! and I had to run around and pick up the house in a matter of 45 minutes! :headache:
I'm off to catch up on everyone,,I left off at page 215, I think we are up to 221 now!!! :surfweb:
No FB inspired house parties for us, but I have to admit that we've ended up making dinner plans and starting long distance catch-up phone calls through people noticing status or green light on FB. Sorry you were subjected to the party-without-notice! :headache:
What do you think of the HD picture quality? You can really tell the difference.
Thanks David. :)
No problem. And, thanks! Have a good evening! :goodvibes
Thx Kristel!
===================================
DS6 has been asleep for a couple of hours or so. Jenny and DD11 finally got home from the talent show about 1.5 hours ago but had to go back out because I was wrong in prior post. She remembered the stuff animals, but really did forget the pajamas and the sleeping bag. :rolleyes1
I'm thinking that DS6 is okay, and it must have been just something he ate yesterday. No fever and no lingering effects tonight. I gave him a little more to eat not too long after my last post, and no issues. So, assuming he makes it through the night with no issues, we've got a busy day ahead tomorrow.
The kids have religious school in the morning. After that, DS6 and I will be heading out for first a cub scout den meeting and then a full pack meeting. Both meetings are pinewood derby workshops. He's in a den with other Tigers in their first year, so our den is having a preliminary workshop so that those scouts and parents with older siblings and who have been through this can give us a clue as to what we should be doing. I did some reading of materials on the whole thing, but until I've actually done it once, I'm not going to feel comfortable. DS6 should do as much of it himself as he can, but I expect that the parents will be managing any power tools.
I'm off to bed. Have a good night everyone!
I'm home and tired. I went to dinner and to see Bride Wars with my MIL and SIL. It was cute. I'm shattered as Jo would say and off to bed early. :goodvibes
And I took my first Zoloft today. I'm feeling good about the future!
Fantastic!
Angela went with Carrie & I on our October Ip-Dip trip. She posted a lot on Buzz's trip reports (MontanaDisneyFan), but I don't think she's ever posted here.
She did post here a few times ages ago but couldn't keep up!!!
Jo - fancy shmancy grilled cheese maker there, Missy! :snooty:
Would you expect anything else? :rotfl2: BTW I think it cost like $15!
Lindsey isn't feeling well at all and is currently laying on the couch.
Hope she feels better today :hug:
It felt really good to do something physical and I don't think I've ever said that out loud!!! LOL. Maybe I DO like excercising, and I just hadn't found the right kind???
:thumbsup2
How about....
that EVEN Jesus ( as a child)OBEYED his earthly parents, did his chores. He no doubt felt the same things you do. Sickness, frustration, scrapes, maybe he even got a spanking for misbehaving, or being mischievous. We do not have records, but he came here to be AS US, experience all the things we do... so he would understand how we as mortals feel. His ONLY DIFFERENCE.. was that HE WAS GOD... yest he OBEYED,, not ONLY HIS HEAVENLY FATHER.. but his Earthly Father and Mother.
Maybe because his parents knew WHO HE WAS.. they were more portective... perhaps his siblings were jealous... as they saw he was treated different
I'm reading you, Carrie! Glad the tv is set up. We love ours, and now I don't even like to watch the one in the family room downstairs because it's only a 32 in. or something....LOL :snooty:
Been there, done that a few times! DS15(16 in 3 wks) was a scout. He did 3 (i think) Pinewood Derby cars.
Be prepared to compete against the DADS. Bob always had SD do his own car, using the tools together, but with SD's guidance on style. Then you go to the competition night and you can SEE that the other kids have had MORE help than that! It's sad really, but the kids do have a ton of fun racing them. No guidance here really, just that if you graphite the axles, it will roll faster! And it's legal. :thumbsup2
I'm home and tired. I went to dinner and to see Bride Wars with my MIL and SIL. It was cute. I'm shattered as Jo would say and off to bed early. :goodvibes
Hi Dawn! Did you like the movie?
Frosty cold day again here, I think this is the longest cold spell we've had for a very long time!!!! Been to Church, next week is my turn for Sunday School again, topic is Jesus Childhood :confused: Any ideas???? For the 3-6 y/o's :confused3
Jo, am I going to have to send you some long underwear? Brrrrr. By the way, I heard on the BBC (I love to listen to their news reports, nice accents) that Wooly's is closing in UK! Did you shop there? Our Woolworth's have been gone for a few years, but I have fond memories of them! Nice that they held out longer there....
No ideas on Jesus. Sorry! (I'm a heathen...) Have fun though!
(((((((((((((((((((((((((((0)))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Ugh! The sleep thing is really getting to me! I went to bed at midnight, took 1/2 a pill. Slept fitfully till 3am. Then got up and went to the spare bedroom. Slept there from 4 or so, until 7:30 am. I don't know! :confused3 I guess I need the whole pill? :confused3
Worse is that Bob has taken to staying up till 3 am on weekends, so when I do finally conk out, he's coming to bed and waking me! I am going to have to lay down the law!
This morning he's making apple crepes for breakfast though, so I think I'll lay down the law around noon! LOL! :rotfl2:
It's finally done snowing. We got around 5 inches all together. The kids will be so thrilled to have to shovel, AGAIN! :laughing:
Bob leaves town for Mississippi on Monday morning. I hate to say it, but I'm really looking forward to having some ALONE time. I need to get my sleep under control! This is only a two day trip, so this will be a good time to get caught up and maybe even start my packing!
MEL:banana:
Good Morning, Fockers!
We're headed to church in a few. Nothing too exciting going on here today. I'll probably spend the afternoon watching football and doing laundry. I have a bunch of ironing to do too.
Hope everyone has a great Sunday!
We're headed to church in a few minutes. Afterwards, us girls are coming home to hang out and do nothing while the boys go to the Monster Truck show. :rolleyes:
Morning! I can't stay long - got a ton of stuff to do today. But wanted to report that I signed Leo and I up for 2-year passes to Busch Gardens and went there yesterday... OMG, have I missed that place! They've added a bunch of stuff since we last visited and it's fantastic - the new tigers area is especially terrific.
I swear, BG is like the antithesis of AK; no bottlenecks, TONS of animal viewing areas and opportunities, loads of good food options, a relaxed atmosphere and enough open space to create cooling breezes. Add to that perfect theming and I remembered anew why I so much prefer BG to AK. :thumbsup2
I didn't want to deal with a camera, so no pics - I'll be sure to take some next time we go. But I highly recommend a little side trip for anyone heading to WDW!
