MCO to Poly Mears or Uber?

We're a family of 4 (2 teens 16 & 19), flying on Jet Blue. Are we better off just getting an Uber to Poly or to book Mears? I know Jet Blue has a new terminal so not sure on how far it is from the Mears station.

What’s your luggage situation? I travel with 4 adults sometimes, each with a large suitcase, a small carry-on and a personal item. We had trouble with XL rideshares fitting all the luggage and have had luggage in our laps before. After a small carry-on almost went flying from the back (we got it before it hit the person in the middle seat) we switched to private cars. A guaranteed suburban/equivalent holds us and our stuff safely and comfortably (GearFusion is our current choice). Mears bus would take longer but be cheaper. All options will pick you up at Terminal C.

Where do we go to get the uber/lyft if we pre book for pickup at MCO?
I'm sure someone can answer this. I've never prebooked....just book while waiting on the right floor (it's clearly marked for rideshare pickup) and never waited more than 5 minutes

What do you do for return to MCO? We're returning from Poly on a Saturday with flight at 6:45pm. Should we pre book that one and what time for pickup? Has anyone had bad experience with either Lyft or Uber not showing up or late? Any traffic issues generally on a Saturday afternoon?

No need to pre-book. There will be plenty of drivers and traffic won't be horrible. Still, I'd plan to leave about 3 hours before flight time.

Rideshare pickup is always the same regardless of prebooking it or not, it's right outside baggage claim. All prebooking does is guarantee your price and a driver, it does not give you any special privileges at the airport.

Personally I would not bother prebooking, it generally costs more (unless you get a very specific discount for doing so, like I do through a CC) for no benefit tbh. There's constantly vehicles around and you will not have to wait very long for a ride, even booking comfort or XL.

Re: returning home, I would book a ride no later than 5p if you don't have Pre. You will not need 3 hours, Terminal C security is nothing like A/B and flies by because it gets a fraction of the pax traffic. The longest lines I've ever seen in C have been bag drop at the JetBlue counter and that's easily bypassed with curbside check in.

idk if you're staying in the og Poly buildings or the tower, but if it's the latter you'll need to be picked up from the Great Ceremonial House. Non-Minnie Van rideshare can only drop off at the Tower, not pick up, due to the gate being unmanned.

Thank you! Another question for you as a Poly expert- we have a waterview room booked- what do you think of requesting Fiji Marina view? Any other suggestions for a request?
