Don't mind me, I'm just jealous. It wasn't the best weekend ever. I'll be back with details tomorrow-ish, but suffice it to say...

I am done - DONE! - with WDW for a while. Really. I've officially hit Disney Burn Out. :headache:

But there are some good things to report, so I promise I'll be back with more. :)

S'Late- Wow! Sounds like the kids are doing their rooms pretty well! What did you end up doing?

DS11 was motivated my no McDonald's

DS9 was motivated by not being able to attend his BF's b-day party.

DD9 was motivated once her brothers had their rooms clean and had their Christmas trees.

NEver heard of a wedding on a Monday!:confused3

Some people on these borads do get a little holier than thou about that don't they:sad2: Whereas us Fockers, we ENCOURAGE you to take your kids out of school;) :lmao:

Yes. Thanks for pointing that out, Janet. :rotfl:

I have pulled them out the week before Xmas for the last couple of years. It's hard for them to catch up but they do. The schools are usually ok with it because they are both high honors students! However, having said all of that, with SD's issues now I'm not sure he'll handle being that far behind very well. I don't know what to do about it though....:confused3

There is nothing wrong with this picture! :thumbsup2

LOL. Ok Angela. Thanks! :rotfl2:

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
Going to pick up SD for his ortho appt.

See you chickies later.

Oh, oh!! I wrapped some presents! Go me!

MEL:banana: (what's with the smileys???)

Alright V, I was going to save these for my TR, but you forced my to use them.....to restore some magic.

These are a few shots from our AKV grand villa:

You name the time and place, and us brasses will blow your "woods" in the "winds" anyday! :rotfl: :rotfl:

LY/MI

BTW, I played the trumpet.

:thumbsup2 That great.. except... why do trumpets think they are GOD'S gift to the Band ??
If it wasn't for Trombones making y'all sound good.. no one would be impressed:rolleyes1 :goodvibes :rotfl2:
So did you do Marching Band Concert Band or both ??
I did both in HS but in College... Marching Band Only.. I LOVED:love: Making those formations on "Commonwealth Field" Still Miss it. The Foot ball team... :scared: But Basketball season... Now that's what I'm talking about. Payback for how lousy the football team was... getting picked to be in the Pep Band for Basketball.

Uh, yes, know this quite well....don't forget about those long power outages after hurricanes. :rolleyes1
Yeah... those too... except.. isn't it too hot and steamy and muggy for all that "close time" :rotfl2:

You're getting a sex change?

Shut up...Jen's doing that... ??
my money is still on the Wedding

DS11 was motivated my no McDonald's

DS9 was motivated by not being able to attend his BF's b-day party.

DD9 was motivated once her brothers had their rooms clean and had their Christmas trees.

Ahhh... In house Peer Pressure !!!:cloud9:

Somebody trying to spread his wongs a bit!

:scared1: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Sorry, couldn't resist.

*********************************
I had a whole multiquote deal typed out and then accidentally closed the tab. :headache: Sorry, everyone I meant to quote.

D and Woody took off for Home Depot to work on getting something to at least temporarily brace the porch a bit more. The insurance estimate (done over the phone) came in at $47 less than our deductible, but we're to call if a contractor gives us a larger amount - which I fully expect. We'll see.

I have some shopping I need to do without kids, so I hope that there's school tomorrow. There are still over 100,000 customers without power, though, and I don't know how many of them are in my town! ;)

Now I have to mess with my printer - the new router seems fine and the printer, which is wi-fi connected, has the green light on as if everything is cool, but it's not working. Sigh.

Have a good one!

:thumbsup2 That great.. except... why do trumpets think they are GOD'S gift to the Band ??

I didn't know we thought that. :confused3

If it wasn't for Trombones making y'all sound good.. no one would be impressed:rolleyes1 :goodvibes :rotfl2:

Uh, ya'll kept hitting us in the back of the head.

So did you do Marching Band Concert Band or both ??

Concert til HS then marching band through 11th grade. We went to WDW one year!

Ahhh... In house Peer Pressure !!!:cloud9:

:thumbsup2

Can he get work ahead... and turn some of it in BEFORE you Leave??
We did that when Sara was younger and we went in May for the free water parks. She did MOST of her work and took two tests early.. so that she would not have to play so much catch up.

Now... I would have the social workers on my case if I tried that. She missed too much last year all tonsil related, INCLUDING SURGERY. First of this year.. get that note from the county schools Social worker and it was very threateneing... including "possible court and children possibly being removed from us"

I have forced that poor little thing to go this year (and Last year.).. when she wanted to stay home and probably should have.

Do I want "Mufassa" watching me as I take my Bath :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Katt, believe me, you won't care and you will be facing the other way, watching tv!

Jo gets PIMP OF THE WEEK AWARD

:rotfl2: Not everyone has got the hint though :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

I am done - DONE! - with WDW for a while. Really. I've officially hit Disney Burn Out. :headache:
Oh no, I can see how it happened though

They are so cute now---they still sleep right with their mommy, Noodles.........but I have convinced her to stop nursing cause I told her I WAS NOT taking her to the Goat LaLeche league group!
I miss your goat stories!!!!

Talked with my sister tonight. She said the insurance guy finally came. They are getting a WHOPPING check for the damages, it's pretty much a GUT the whole house deal.
Fantastic!

We're home, we're exhausted.
Welcome home :goodvibes

And we have to keep chatting since Jo's Asleep
I knew it :headache: :rotfl2:

I'll only say, sometimes things change.

And I think we should arrange a Focker meet.

A fabulous idea! At the wedding pavilion and we should dress appropriately?
I like Angela's idea Jen :rotfl2:

Angela hope Reid's op goes well

So I went and took my Coding Test today. 5 hours and 30 minutes of stress and I was finished. I find out in 2 weeks if I passed - I have a feeling I didn't, so if I don't bring it up again, you'll know why.
I'm sure you did fine but wow that's a long exam!

It was on, then D said, "It would be weird to have cable without power, since they were both out," so we turned off the generator, and we're good!!
Wooohoooo

Jo-I subbed. :flower3:
I saw :thumbsup2

(Did I tell you that his school is a music magnet school???). Wednesday his pollyanna gift is due.
Huh? and huh?

And what's wrong with that photo? :rotfl2:

I'm at home today getting ready for my test tomorrow  so I'll be on and off through out the day.
Good luck!

Angela do you get the Orlando Sentinal????? If so can you have a look please :goodvibes

I've wrapped up all the girls stocking pressies and bought near enough all the last bits :yay:

You're getting a sex change?

:rotfl:

DS11 was motivated my no McDonald's

DS9 was motivated by not being able to attend his BF's b-day party.

DD9 was motivated once her brothers had their rooms clean and had their Christmas trees.

Glad you found the right thing! :thumbsup2

with SD's issues now I'm not sure he'll handle being that far behind very well.

Since my dad worked for the airlines, we traveled a lot so we got our work to do while we were gone. Of course that was ages ago and they might not do that now! :rotfl2:

Slate, those photos are beautiful! :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 That great.. except... why do trumpets think they are GOD'S gift to the Band ??

So when are you forming the Focker band? :goodvibes

Hi, CE. Glad D's home with you and the boys. :thumbsup2

Now... I would have the social workers on my case if I tried that. She missed too much last year all tonsil related, INCLUDING SURGERY. First of this year.. get that note from the county schools Social worker and it was very threateneing... including "possible court and children possibly being removed from us"

 That's crazy!

Angela do you get the Orlando Sentinal????? If so can you have a look please :goodvibes

Sure, from what day?

Somebody trying to spread his wongs a bit!
OMGosh, until just now, I was really confused what a wong was! Now I get it, wings... :lmao: Sorry. I just wasn't sure if a wong was something only boys had or what! ;)

Janet said:
I got all of Jimmy's gifts wrapped:woohoo: That gives me more time to get other stuff done. We have his first report card conference on Tuesday. Everyone keep their fingers crossed for a good report from the teacher:thumbsup2

Jimmy has a busy week at school. Tuesday the K to 4th grades are going to see the Winter Concert (Did I tell you that his school is a music magnet school???). Wednesday his pollyanna gift is due (So they can see who doesn't actually bring one in so they can remind them) and Friday is their Class party. Next week they only have 2 days of school and then they are off until January 5th.
Fingers crossed here.
That's so cool that the school is a music magnet school. :thumbsup2

Nope. Sorry. SD actually said, "Mom, this isn't fun. I can't smile for ONE MORE SECOND." LOL.
Then I started laughing and every picture I took came out like THIS:

101_0470.jpg

Because I kept telling SD to smile.....

LOL
That's funny! I like it. :lmao:

Got to take the Goofy Kid to get photos for his braces. I think we're almost to the end of the brace adventure. He's excited about that!

MEL:goodvibes
This weekend one of the moms told me that if a bracket falls off it adds months onto her brace time.
Did I tell you guys I got in trouble last week b/c B has lost 3 brackets since May? :headache:

So... what did you think about the outcome? I'm glad Bob won, but SHOCKED that Susie came so close!
I'm glad won too. I'm surprise Sugar was so rude about the votes at the end. i think she could have done better if she hadn't have been so witchy. She should have gone the, "I was playing the game" route. :confused3

You're getting a sex change?

Good job. Moms always know their kids and what will motivate them, huh? :thumbsup2

Scott called and strongly expressed our feelings about the letter.. and the fact our OTHER kid has "autism" and does not miss.. and if any one would want to be missing and sometmes NEED TO MISS.. it would be Joshua.
Last year he missed 1 day.. and that was in May
