ITA. Have you taken Jimmy before? We've never been and I'm not sure it's any good for Leo yet. Remember - he won't even ride half the stuff at WDW! :headache:

Jimmy has been looking at the site with me. He is psyched about Spiderman and the Woody Woodpecker Roller Coaster. There is also a Curious George section (water play area) that he is looking forward too. He also likes the looks of Shrek 4-D, the Dr. Suess area, and the Dudley Do Right Log Flume ride. That's today...tomorrow he caould say he doesn't want to go. Jim and I decided to do it, just for something different. Even if we just go around and look at everything it will be different, KWIM?

Definitely loud - about the same as Rainforest

Not to self - pack Jimmy's earplugs!:thumbsup2

Here's a link to the 2009 DDP. I was surprised at how little of the DTD eateries aren't included.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jo- What?! :eek: A meeting with UK WDW people? Why don't we have any details on this? What happened? popcorn::
Did you see in Dawns answer I said about walking from the Poly to GF? :rotfl:
Yes, that's what made me think of it!:lmao:
I'm heading to the dentist. I hate going to the dentist. I would rather have weekly girlie appts than go to the dentist.:headache:
Was going to wish you good luck, but I see you made out just fine!:thumbsup2
No school today.......lots of snow coming down really fast..goats are unhappy---they HATE any form of precipatation and won't come outta the barn. (Are they like that on Animal Crossings, T??)
Nope, they love it! :laughing:
Jim and I thought the Matterhorn was awful and if we had waited more than the 6 minutes in line that we did we would have been ticked! Space was in the middle of it's refurb when we were there:sad2:
Shhh!!! I won't tell Evan - that's his favorite ride! :lmao:
Any news? :hug:
She's fine, thankfully. Her ticker is just fine - it's her mind that's shot.:lmao:
SO the hives are worse today. Got to head to the doc today. Darn it! :headache:
Hi to everyone I missed! :wave2:
Ahem......you all are talking about my mama! Remember that my maiden name was Hoofnagle! :headache: ;)
How could I forget that?
I'm having a funny problem---my DIS life is getting mixed up with my Family life and now High school friend life.
Anyone else having this prob??? (I'm pretty sure I'm so much cooler on line!) :rotfl:
:rotfl2:
I am having fun putting up old HS pics. My sister and I were talking about the days and now she wants me to bring my yearbooks for our sister's weekend. She went to a private school her Soph, Jr, Sr year but was still friends with people at my HS.
I also found a lot of incriminating photos. I threw some away because I didn't want my kids to see them when they are teenagers.
I'm meeting the PR people from Disney UK for lunch today, see what they have in store for me :goodvibes
That sounds fun!
Just back from the dentist and everything went well. There was no decay or futher crack of the tooth, so just and xray and reseal. Total $114!!:yay: Not that I wanted to spend $114 on my teeth, but it could have been worse. :teeth:
Good to hear you don't have to have a root canal.
Shhh!!! I won't tell Evan - that's his favorite ride! :lmao:
Jimmy would probably love it too. But Jim and I were amazed that there over 1 hour waits for it!:confused3
SO the hives are worse today. Got to head to the doc today. Darn it! :headache:
LEt us know how you make out. Maybe it wasn't the sampoo and conditioner:confused3
BubbaGumpMenu
MargaritavilleMenu You and Jim should definitely enjoy a drink on The Porch of Indecision! :thumbsup2
I haven't really paid attention to the kids menus but the citywalk website is here.
THose are awesome. Thanks Angela!
OK, where are all my crafty focker friends. I need to know how to make autograph book for Jimmy. Something small and not too bulky that will fit into my bag (I may ditch the baggalini this year:guilty: ) PM me please:flower3:
======================================================
BTW - In less than 24 hours Jen2 will be back :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
So until then Hi Jen :wave2: Miss you!:goodvibes :hug:
/
OK what did I miss???!!!
You all missed a carp load with me.
I had one of the top 5 worst days of my life on Tues-wed. When KC came home that night from work he sat me down to "talk" (never good) and told me he wanted to leave. It was really bad, we cried, we talked, we cried some more, there was some begging even. Then somewhere on Wed something shifted and we just somehow got back on track. I really can't pinpoint what it was but we let all our frustrations go and seem now to be better than ever.
I went to See Mary Poppins last night (very entertaining show BTW) and he dropped me off and picked me up. We have started communicating more, esp about all the stuff he bottled up(mostly me not being able to help financially). Things really seem like they were when we first met. We are looking at each other the right way again.
Needless to say this was a trying few days, I was so exhausted emotionally and physically. But the only reason I'm talking about it is because things are going to be OK. I have heard "testimonials" from several other couples who have been through worse and made it, so I KNOW we will.
So this afternoon we are heading out to recreate our first date, a walk around the city with a few stops in between, like ice cream at FAO Swartz and a ride on the Toys R Us carousel in times Square.
Thanks for letting me vent, I really only told one friend about this whole thing, but I knew my fockers would understand and be there. :hug:
I'm off to shower and have some food before heading out.
CE - have a good flight.
V - thanks for posting the photos of Trex. My kids would love this.
Janet - We went to Universal over Spring Break last year. There was something there for everyone. Baby Girl loved the Barney show and the Curious George play area. Ds7 also loved it, but a lot of the rides were scary for them. They were both good sports and didn't cry, but verbally told us they were scared. Specifically, tornado and earthquake.
We ate at Mythos in Islands of Adventures and it was excellent. I had read good reviews on it. It is a table service and was worth whatever it cost. We also did the meal deal. We will never do that again. All of the restaurants on the meal deal are the worst restaurants on site and they were all a lot busier than the other restaurants. We waited an hour to get our food each time. You can eat as much as you want, but you are eating up a lot of park time waiting for food and we would not have eaten the food if we were not so hungry.
:I'm one happy camper! This is so amazing. Dawn loves her some charts!!!! :cloud9:
That's because Dawn, like Mel, is OCD... LOL.
One of you dash and get FP's the others follow asap and all get in the standby line, I can guarantee you'll want to ride more than once
Excellent advice, Super JO!
mel---feel better :hug:
my 10yr old is very anxious about his new school, then he woke up vomiting this am. has a fever ,so i thinks he has a virus and not just anxiety issues.
poor thing. i thought my dd would have trouble adjusting, but she seems fine.
Thanks Rachel! I hope your DS is better soon. I am sending TONS of ((Hugs)) to you both.
Wow! That's really late to be getting out of school. We get out in May this year. We started school August 11th though.... Next year we start the 13th and get out the last week of May again.
We start after Labor Day and get out around June 13th. I think I like this the best of all the different start/stop times we've had over the years.
Jodi said:
I did the upstairs yesterday and finished downstairs today. I did the living room over the weekend when we got the Christmas tree down though, so today it was basically just the kitchen. I also got the rest of my scrapbooking stuff organized before picking up DD4 from preschool, going to the Y to workout and then home to shower before hitting the chiropractor. DD7 has Brownies at 6pm tonight, so I've got to start dinner pretty soon. I'm tired though......
Wshew! You should be tired! That was ALOT.
::yes:: Then you know what I mean. Ours would have been 22 if we hadn't had the other school merge in, so we were officially the largest at the time, too.
Well... I need to get the kids in and start dinner, I think. See you later, maybe!
Yes, I totally understand. SMALL TOWNS!
Glad to see you are feeling more human today, no school cancel, no power outtage, you solved the car seat issue and you're working on the carry on bag issue. Wshew!
I always pack the largest carryon's I can get for the boys (with some of my stuff in their bags) and then a large carryon for me, largest purse I have and then a backpack for each of them. That usually does us for 3-4 days!
What rides do you think my kids will want to ride at AK? Kirt usually goes to ride the two big coasters while I entertain the kids. We did the tour last time and saw Lion King, but that was a bout it.
How's primevil whirl? :confused3
Can I just say that I H*A*T*E* primevil whirl? OMG. That thing is TORTURE. See Mary's comment below to hear EXACTLY what I'd say about it. Right down to poor Bob having motion sickness issues like Mr. Diz....
She's been having palpitations that her anxiety meds are handling, so her GP sent her to the cardio.
So I saw the ortho today - he put in a heavier gauge wire on the bottom, so I can't eat anything, which is good for the waist line, I guess.
So what'd I miss? popcorn::
Hi T! Poor TE! I am so sympathetic to anyone who's got anxiety! Are the heart palpatations any better? :hug: for her!
And one for you too! :hug: Poor T. That heavy guage wire is bad! Tylenol and wine I say....
I'm back! Hello, ladies! Where's the guys?
Well, I'm kinda stumped until Rockie looks at the stuff I sent her. I'm putting Le Cellier at the top of my list. I'd like to go to T Rex. I'm fairly certain Rockie will want to do Italy.(Which I don't care for.) She hates seafood so that narrows it down. I want to pick something special for her B-Day which is our last day of the park visits. I'm leaning towards Cali Grill and burning 2 TS.
Your welcome. Poor SD. Just hang in there. Everything will get ironed out as soon as you get settled.
Mel - Did the Yoga help with your sore muscles and de-stressing?
Hi Kristel! I would consider making a trip over to Artist's Point at WL. The food is wonderful, I love the boat ride and the resort is SO gorgeous! You can see the water parade from there too!
It was Rachel's DS, not SD this time! Poor babies! Anxiety sucks!
The yoga was HARD. I'm such a wuss, but it DID help immensly with my stress. I'll put more info below!
Don't overdo your housework/painting/Walmart! Have a great day!
Here is an article from the Orlando Sentinel about the APce Mountain rehab. Looks like ne track and some other cosmetic stuff, but not the major overhaul the one oin DLR got!
http://www.orlandosentinel.com/travel/attractions/orl-disney-space-mountain-closing-010709,0,2888333.story
Hi Janet! Thanks for the link, I'll read it soon!
I'm here briefly! :wave:
Hi David!
Expedition Everest has a 48" height requirement and PW has a 52" or 54".
It is extremely jerky and hurts my back every time I ride it. But I continue to ride it in dread for ds because Mr Diz gets motion sick and would not be able to handle that ride.
Yeah. What she said.
:lmao: Oh you should, just so that she has more questions asked and answered. Have you seen some of the other moms have like 400+ q&a's already?! :eek:
I fell asleep early and woke up at 3 am. I have to get back to sleep.
Holy Cow! I hope you can sleep, oops I see you didn't. Good luck on the car fix!
Darn :rotfl2: I've got Mel on research duty for that when she goes soon :rotfl2:
I'm meeting the PR people from Disney UK for lunch today, see what they have in store for me :goodvibes
Yup. I'm Super Jo's assistant. I assist Super Jo. (what's that from???)
Oooooh! That sounds like FUN! Can't wait to hear about it!
So, I'm the first one up this morning? That's strange.... Mel must have slept in (and Katt too!).
No. I was awake at 4 am again! I just had ALOT on my plate today!
I hope Mel slept last night.
I HOPE He does not freak out about either one
Nope.
I hope Joshua does ok today! :hug: for you and HIM!
You know you can PM me research too Jo, just in case Mel forgets to check on something.
TTFN!
Yes, and let's face it, it's highly probable that I will forget some....
I hear ya! It's actually snowing big, pretty flakes right now. It's lovely. It can stop anytime.
Yup. Anytime!
Good morning! I cant quote worth beans on the little laptop....:headache:
I have been such a wet noodle these past few days,,,I cant seem to get anything done! :guilty: even now I'm still in bed and confy and warm...but I have tons of laundry to fold and have to get out and get some cat food...:sad2:
Carrie, honey, do you think you might need your medicine? Don't ignore it if you're feeling bad. I'm in a "therapy" mood right now. LOL.
Hope you get to feeling like a dry noodle soon!
Didn't you know? She was born in Hooterville;) J/K TE LYMI:hug:
Ok, so she's TE Hoofnagle from Hooterville????
Bwahahahahahaha!
Just back from the dentist and everything went well. There was no decay or futher crack of the tooth, so just and xray and reseal. Total $114!!:yay: Not that I wanted to spend $114 on my teeth, but it could have been worse. :teeth:
Good news, Slate. Glad it wasn't worse!
Exactly! Are your trees all out of whack, too? Ours keep blooming, pollinating, leafing, dropping leaves, going dormant, budding, blooming, etc. over and over. I can't freaking BREATHE! :headache:
Thank you! I am packing the kid's Zyrtec RIGHT NOW!!!!
Like Rainforest, it has a bunch of rooms. We were just in front of the Ice Cave. Instead of periodic thunderstorms, there are periodic asteroid (meteor?) storms.
3066445639_c928d39c11.jpg
P.S. The food was TERRIFIC, too! I had a lobster ravioli that was insanely delicious.
Awsome! Thanks V! I am booking it right now!
Morning :goodvibes
Hope all is well.
Hi Kate. Sorry about the Inlaws. Who's Lola?
Jimmy has been looking at the site with me. He is psyched about Spiderman and the Woody Woodpecker Roller Coaster. Janet:
Went to US with boys and BIL last year. Bob was working at a convention that week, so we did some alone things....
This is what I'd offer as the parent of a child who HATES loud things! (and just general infor. that might help)
1. SKIP TERMINATOR (way way too loud!)
2. SKIP Twister (loud and SKEERY)
3. Spiderman was AWESOME, but has loud moments. Don't skip it but bring earplugs. some loud air cannons, and some loud explosions.
4. The terydactl (sp) sky ride seats are FUN! Has to be a child w/ one adult, but you guys could take turns. Jimmy will like it, but it has high spots where he may be scared if he doesn't like heights.
5. Photo takers there are AGRESSIVE. Be warned. I had to actually tell one who grabbed my son to BACK THE HECK OFF. Sad.
6. I walked thru Seuss land. It was gorgeous and colorful, my boys were just a bit too old though.
7. Men In Black was a lame, indoor version of primevil hurl. Bleh.
Hope this helped.
**********************
Gosh, I hope they let me post a reply this long!
Yoga was good last night but hard. I'm not bendy at all, apparently! LOL. Gus liked it very much though and wants to do it next Wed. too. SD came and worked out for the hour and he LOVED IT. I was hoping...
This morning was my appt. with the therapist. It went great. She said that she doesn't think that I have depression but that I have some hormonal and PMS related anxiety issues that will be helped with a low dose anti-depressent. I have an appt with my family dr. to get a prescrip. tomorrow. I am feeling GREAT just having a plan!!! She was wonderful and I'm seeing her again next week. Thanks for all the support. You all would have laughed when she asked if I had a good support network and I said, "Sure, they are online but they're REAL." LOL!!!
Today Gus is going snowboarding on his new board for the first time. He's OVER the moon! He can't wait! I'm glad to have a day off the gym. I'm so sore!
I am going to start packing my bags for the trip this weekend! YAY! Hope you guys are all doing well. I am so far ahead of the game today, I actually made dinner for tonight YESTERDAY!
HA!
CYA
MEL
I had one of the top 5 worst days of my life on Tues-wed.
:hug:
Everyone goes through stuff. Sounds like everything is working out. It's good to get all those feelings out in the open. You can't keep it bottled up because it just makes things worse.
I;m getting flustered with the Universal part. The section here on the Dis is very inadequete and there aren't many more sites out there about Universal.
I can help, give me a call and I will get you maps next month ( as long as feet hold up, I am planning a day)
Just back from the dentist and everything went well. There was no decay or futher crack of the tooth, so just and xray and reseal. Total $114!!:yay: Not that I wanted to spend $114 on my teeth, but it could have been worse. :teeth:
I have a lame work day followed by lots of excitement: Leo's got a riding lesson after dinner and then the Big Game...
GO GATORS!!!
Did everyone know that V's a Gator fan?
She's fine, thankfully. Her ticker is just fine - it's her mind that's shot.:lmao:
Gald to hear TE's ok
SO the hives are worse today. Got to head to the doc today. Darn it! :headache:
Feel better:hug:
UGH, major prgramming problem at work and my year end reports that are due 1/31 are not happening. I have to have 400 detail reports reviewed and balanced over the next 3 weeks and I don't even have them yet. I already told the staff be ready as it's all hand on deck when we get them.
At least I can say that one month from today I am Disney bound. Which reminds me I need to PM Angela.
Anyone know if Grey's Anatomy is new tonight?
I'm leaving for my sisters trip in about 2 hours. Just want to say Bye and I'll see you all next week.
Oh Kat! :hug: :hug: :hug: I DO so hope it gets better. And what a wonderful idea to recreate your first date. :hug: :hug:
OH, Kat I missed your post and just caught it on Kate's reply.
So sorry, if you need anyone I'm not that far away:hug:
OK so I need that baked french toast recipe that was going around when the holidays were here! We got a loaf "new years" bread from our greek friend (pants) and its like a sweet challah bread and would be awesome as french toast!
And thanks everyone for the hugs. It means the world to me to have you guys to talk to!
Thanks for the T-Rex info. we are planning on eating there as well. Nana has been looking over the board to see were we should sit and what we should order. She is turning out to be a very good planning apprentice. I was worried at first but she is coming around to the joy of planning.
Train her well young Jedi!;)
You all missed a carp load with me.
Thanks for this info. It looked like a good deal, but I don't think we will get it now. Mythos..will check out the menu! Thanks Mary:goodvibes
