Hiya girls!

Just a drive-by post to say "Hi!". I've got laundry going, trying to get everything ready for Brownie's tonight and finish cleaning up so I can start some cooking tomorrow. I'm supposed to do my SIL's hair tomorrow night and then go see a late showing of New Moon, but I'm thinking of holding off on that until the kids are all back in school next week, so I can watch it in peace and quiet.

If I don't make it back, I'm wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving! And wanted you all to know I'm thankful for you all!

Hey all. A quick post via my phone so no quotes.

Although I didn't go to work I got recruited to head to KCs parents house. We are bringing all the food and an overnight bag there. It makes it easier for tomorrow but I reaaly feel blah on the meds and wanna stay home, but the overnight bag is here and needs to be there so off I go. I only have to meet kc at the train station and go to the parents and reight back so it should be fine, I have my book and can sleep if need be.

I'm just glad all my cooking is done. I do need to hop in the shower and do my nails before I head out in an hour and a half.

The girls went back to school today, Jess seemed much better but Ellie was still coughing etc but wanted to go so...... I finally managed to play golf, it's been a whole week It was only a fun friendly but I played pretty well so that's good! It was very windy though so I have nice rosy cheeks

Sounds like everyone is on a roll with the T-day prep.
I have to get a casserole ready for Doug tomorrow. He’ll be taking it to his sister’s on Thursday. Since I’m working until 6AM and they start at noon, I’ll be staying home this year. No biggie. However, I probably won’t have time to visit on here until Turkey day in the afternoon.

I woke up with a sore throat and an ear starting to clog. I went back to bed for a bit, then got up and got everything together for the PATT treasurer and went to school for just 5 minutes, then tennis. I've actually been lazy ever since. It's about time to make dinner.

I wish! It was actually at the Wachovia Center. We used to have a private box seat at the WC through work but we gave those up about 5 years ago. First time I’ve been back there since –I missed the elevator to your seat, private bathroom and VIP parking. I REALLY have to want to see a show to go back there now (with all the little people, you know….)

Thn I am getting my haircut and eyebrows done at 6:00

Friday I will be out of here by 4:00am to get to Target, from there I will hit Toys R Us and then the King of Prussia Mall. After the mall will be Wal Mart and then Kohls. The goal is to have ALL shopping done by the time I get home

Not much going on here. NotBob has to go to Mexico, China and Japan in the next 6 weeks. He's in Wisconsin right now, though. Both boys are doing great. I am seeing Dr. Seigle on Wed. to hopefully get the last stitch out of my eye. BLECH!!!

Then after we got home a guy I had been talking to online IM'd me and we chatted for a while. I 'met' him on match.com a few months ago but maybe talked to him once or twice and then just said forget it because really I wasn't interested in dating or even being involved with someone. But, just this past week we started talking more and he ended up calling and we talked tonight on the phone. It was really nice and I totally enjoyed it.

The bad thing is that he doesn't live in my area. He has parent's that live here though and he will be in at Thanksgiving time. I'm hoping we can get together on Saturday for coffee. ::Fingers Crossed:: that it will happen. I so need and deserve this.

OK, this is my mom's yummy "fix ahead" mashed potato recipe. It can be made a night or two before the feast, freeing up valuable kitchen time! I have a couple of different amounts - one for just a regular dinner, then the "super sized" family feast!

I make these same mashed potatoes at Christmas! Aren’t they great? I call them my heart-attack mashed potatoes (with all that butter, sour cream, and cream cheese, but boy are they good!).

Countdown is on! I finished up the quilting on my boss’s Christmas quilt last night, tonight I have to trim it and then make the binding. I was hoping to get that machine sewn on the one side so I could just take the quilt to the shore with me to handstitch it down, but between doing the trimming and making the binding and packing up tonight, I think I will be too tired (because I’m a wimp and have to be in bed by like 9pm). So, that means hauling a sewing machine to the shore. We’ll have plenty of room in the car though, so it should be fine. I need to keep ON SCHEDULE and the schedule says the quilt must be finished by the end of the weekend! The office is closing two hours early tomorrow at 3pm, so I should be home by 4 and hopefully we’ll be on the road by 4:30. Have a great Tuesday everyone!

I was hoping I'd get some new contacts at least but nope, I need to go back in about a month for another appointment. Oh well...the one I have will work just fine until then. And I did order some new glasses but those will take at least 2-4 weeks to get in.

Laundry almost done. I swear it is multiplying Went to Genaurdi's and picked up the turkey. Now we are home. Jimmy is watching Pokeman, and Jim and I are creating a plan for tomorrow and Thursday. Heard the wether report for Thursday so it looks like the parade will be a go

Friday it is supposed to rain, some, but Iwill be shopping so who cares.

BAsed on the rest of the forecast it looks like inside decorations will get done on Saturday and the outside ones done on Sunday.

The third round of volunteering was uneventful. I got home and made a quiche. It was yummy! D went for a drink with a co-worker (male, don't get excited!) after he left the office and just got back as the kids were going to bed.

And really, nothing else is going on!

Tomorrow I'm playing a fun tennis class at 10:30, since we are of course not doing the normal one Thursday. Then, I have to take the kids to make up for the one they missed this afternoon.

I did get my grocery shopping done, so that's good. Just a bit of precooking tomorrow night, and I'm probably all set.

I have some GOOD NEWS!!! Jud's divorce was final this morning !! She has sole custody and if he wats visitation he has to go to court and with all the ammo she has from Kyle's counsellor it wont happen !

For Thursday, I also have the cranberry sauce (from scratch, but totally easy) and green bean casserole. It's not tough, it's just going to be the transport that will be tricky. I have one "keep warm" carrier thing, but that's not enough for the casserole and the taters. And I guess I'm not sure if I should just assemble the beans and cook them there, or if I should cook them at home and try to keep them warm.

We are not having Thanksgiving dinner. I was going to cook, but Mr Diz said he didn't want me to because we are going to SC on Thursday. I asked my sis about cooking at her house and she said, "Why cook when you can go out and let someone else do all the work and have no mess?"
We're coming home Saturday, so maybe I'll do a turkey on Sunday.

My sis and Reid came over for dinner and for dessert we had ice cream with homemade chocolate sauce. He likes chocolate so much and has such a smile on his face whilst eating, I really think part of my grandfather is in Reid, which makes me smile.

Awww! He is so sweet and has an AWESOME Aunt, too.

Such cute photos! I miss soccer. Wish ds still wanted to play. Baseball was soooo boring. It was the first kid pitch for his age group and hardly anyone hit a ball the entire season. DS got 1 hit and the rest of the time, he was walked - usually because the ball hit him.

I got permission from 3 of the companies I am buying from to use their photos. I am going to take some photos of my own, I just haven't had time.

Not much going on. Both kids played with friends today. I haven't had time to check out all the Black Friday ads, so my sis keeps calling to tell me what deals she has read about. We are planning on doing the 4am shopping. I need a new laptop. I probably won't beat the crowds, but I'll see if I can find something. I'm getting ds a dsi. Baby girl is easy to buy for. The most expensive thing she wants is a ds game. She was just given dh's hand-me-down ds. I wish she wanted a dollhouse or an American Girl doll. Oh well. I made her a comforter for her daybed (Yes, we just got her out of her toddler bed) and was excited that she didn't complain that it is mostly pink.

Ellie is off again, she can hardly talk, was coughing lots during the night and basically looks like death warmed up I had to leave her for a little while though, my first time as I had a hearing test. Well I get there and the nurse had booked me into the surgery where they don't have the equipment so no test for me today! I then went to the supermarket to get a few bits and about $100 I come out There wasn't even any food for meals in that
